I will advice you try the student visa first before trying to apply for a spousal visa, if you get denied then start spousal visa asap.

Lol...it is unlawful to marry twice. If you must apply for a student visa, do so with a married status. If you travel to the US with a single status and try to remarry your wife, it may backfire. American immigrations abhors irregularity/consistency. I am sure the status of your wife who is an American citizen is married, so how does she explain to the authority she wanna remarry without divorce?

She can file for a spousal visa for you, the only thing is you don't know when it will be approved.

I think all you need now is patience , don't let desperation make you do things that you will later regret.

The ban has an exemption

The ban will affect immigrant applicants i.e a petitioner trying to bring his or her parent,siblings into America that’s call chain immigration trump is fighting against it but for spousal visa their is exemption for that thou it might cause extra 2-3 months delay.

Ok... You see it? I really don't know why people are so much afraid of this visa ban. It's not the end of life. There are exceptions. Do not be afraid. Focus on your petition and application. Pray to God to see you through. In the mist of this ban, people are getting their visas approved. The devil will defit you if you are afraid. Believe that your case is different. That's my humble advice.

The ban doesn't take effect till February 22nd. So nothing stops immigrants from getting Visas till then...

If you guys still want to argue about getting spousal visa read this,so many immigrant from Syria,Iran,Iraq still get visa despite their ban,I will advise you guy to keep calm and be optimistic.

Before the ban, Iranians were getting immigrant visas in droves. Now that they are on ban list the number of successful immigrants is now as low as 3 - 6 monthly with 99% placed on Administrative Processing.

Instead of looking for waivers and technicalities that have a success rate of 0.5% Nigeria govt should try and solve this ban problem. With this ban in place, the number of immigrant visas issued to Nigerians might be 1 visa monthly.

Anyway!! Mine I waited for 2 month

Hello house please I need help and advice. My passport will expire by July and currently I am waiting interview date. My passport renewal process is so stressful due to my date of birth issue on my NIN synchronized from my bvn. please how can I go about a fast track renewer so it won't affect my immigrant visa interview date.

I’ve been in Administrative process since October 2019. I was only ask to provide tax transcript. I got it from wife after two weeks and sent through DhL but ever since I’ve been in AP. Wife called consulate but they say it has no time frame.
I don’t know what to do but to be patient.
It’s really frustrating though. I feel for wifey. She think she could wait forever to have me. I keep on consoling her every time she feel some type of way.
It feels like I’m the only one in this. I don’t even know how this Ap of a thing work. I’m confused and patient at the same time.
