Conoil has always done well. I picked up some at #15 a few months ago.

It is illiquid though they are very generous with dividends.

My only problem with Morgan so far is lack of mobile app. But they tried with the itrade.
I still dont understand the issue here.
I access Morgan easily and conveniently on my phone whenever I'm not with my system. Trade and do other stuffs.

It also works on my Samsung galaxy, i do trade, but the platform is so shrouded, and complex. I don't find it convenient at all. Got to be clicking myriads of links to get things done..
The new feature is mobile friendly and no complexity.
You login, takes you directly to the dashboard, click on icon on top left, it brings up a drop-box, you select Market view or any other stuff you wish to select, it brings it up straightaway. So I'm just not understanding.

So, after the initial gra-gra, Union bank dropped in price.
Closed at 6.95.
Some people don carry Kaya at 7.25. tongue
You were warned if you happened to be among the Kaya carriers cos the news was old and mis-informed too, they sold asset and not that they acquired it if I'm right.

Ex, the weakest I have changed £ in the last 15yrs was in the mid 2000s when it was #194ish to £1. Today the rate is say #470=£1. This implies about 150% depreciation.

Ok
On 04/05/2009 I bought Nascon @4
On 21/08/2009 I bought Nascon @3.01

+ numerous others

You do the maths ...

It does beat the exchange rate differential pants down
Respect sir. You are spot on and proved beyond reasonable doubt that NSE long term beats devaluation hands down.

please house,
I invested for the first time yesterday. bought zenith at #24. just trying my best to learn the trade after following this thread for sometime. I will appreciate any recommendations on any information source like books that will make me successful in the trade.
I have fears for this trade but I believe I've conquered my fears by taking a first step yesterday but I want to minimize loss to the bearest minimum. BTW, which other stock can I invest on for a short time investment.
Thanks all and God bless

Are you still holding your zenith or you sold?

Does anyone know what tax rate insurance companies are taxed at for corporate taxes? I'm seeing ridiculously low tax rate for a lot of insurance companies....based on their unaudited q4 2019.

I thought they're taxed at the normal rate of 30% but it is looking like it is much lower.

Whoever knows should let me know. I'm still waiting.

I suggest you average down on your zenith so that when they declare their dividend say in march the price may rise to like N25 then you can comfortably sell.

BULLS Are Waiting To Attack Falling NSE Index Soon!

For the last 3 weeks, bears have dominated the stocks on NSE, turning many late entry portfolios into red. The goodnews however is that some bulls are hovering around to attack the bears between 27000 and 27800. We need to see a weekly rejection at these levels before we can conclude that bulls have taken over.

You need more of a regular and steady income from your investment in form of dividends. Nestle won't disappoint but the dividend yield is low.

If you don't mind real estate, I will advise you to buy UPDC REIT the dividend yield is currently over 18%.

I bought more units at N3.10k today, paid dividend of 58k last year, been consistent with dividend payment in the last 7 years.

Just bought 2 additional properties, bought Kingway building Marina from UPDC for N3.4 billion and invested another N600 million on a hostel at Lagos Business School

Please how do I go about buying shares of UPDC REIT

UACN Plc is showing a bullish intermediate-term divergence with a bottomed out stochastic. It is clear a well-loaded barrel shot-gun !!! Thus, we expect a new 3rd wave with a powerful bullish movement towards a target resistance level @ N16.60 in the coming trading days.

Immediately, we recommend ”strong buy” on UACN Plc

Be careful of a Lower High, Janet is here.
If not that this virus chose to impregnate FBNH during earnings season, UACN would have dined with Zenith in the courtyard of GTB.
Wapco' would have cemented the relationship between Access and UBN.
Dangcem's pilot would have located Buacement at the backyard of Wapco'.... grin
Fidelity would have been waiting to collect N1.42 per share as ransom from kidnapped shares of FCMB.... grin
