Actually FFK is right and the illiterate talking to him is wrong. Mansur Dan Ali is Minister of Defence, Tukur Buratai is Chief of Army Staff. Head of Airforce is Sadiq Abubakar, while Babagana Monguno is the National Security Adviser.

Only the chief of naval staff is a southerner (Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas) and for the purpose of security he is not really relevant since most of the threats facing Nigeria are not coming from the sea.

Not ceremonial boss! Preferably the general coordinator whereas the service thieves are tatical commanders. A 3 star General must report to the only 4 star General in Nigeria. It's a must to obey lawful order in the military unless you want to have issues with the system.

All those harping on chief of defence staff,you all know its more or less ceremonial but you all want to feel good that you are something in the scheme of things when in fact the people in charge don't give a Bleep about you.

FYI information,when it comes to soldiery, the real deal is the army followed by air force.

There is difference between seniority and power of command. CDS is and will always be superior and can dish out orders to ant service chief. In analogy it's like comparing a Dean of faculty to HOD of a department. The HOD coordinates at departmental level autonomously. Have ever seen a security meeting without the CDS ?
