IDENNAA: For you to really cut it in football you need to be exceptionally talented and also hardworking and disciplined. Awoniyi is hardworking and disciplined but is not exceptionally gifted. Hard work and discipline can only raise you to a certain level. The rest are your natural abilities (gift/talent) |

safarigirl: Exactly. I think his was even worse because of the sensitivity of the spot he caught Batshuayi. I think that was done because he is a England international. Even the Frank lampard only spoke after he lost. When the situation happened he overlooked it because Maguire is from England. If bailley had been the one he wouldn't have reacted like that. 1 Like |

Bolowolowo: the only problem i see with VAR is it's use as a medium for favoritism. I like the idea, but not how it's being used in England to favour some clubs(Pool and United) Mane's goal against Norwich was a goal, but Zouma's against United was not a goal, despite Zouma not being the one that even did the foul. Maguire didn't deserve a yellow(worse case), but Auba got a red, and Son got a red too. Blatant nonsense! |

Subzero047: It has been a week with so much talk about financial fair play. Mirandes, a fairytale team who have reached the Copa del Rey semi-finals, won't be punished by UEFA for spending money in a 'Wolf of Wall Street' manner, like Manchester City have been. Mirandes' achievement is instead a tribute to physical preparation and to football. marca.com Like you said, almost everyone flouts FFP. City are just being made scapegoats 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Lampard is making joke wit his career... I just don't understand why sentiments towards his English players would make a coach not do the right thing.... if he wants the English FA job he should go for it or better still apply for Southgate's job it is clear from that game that we need some fresh legs in Church... we need a top striker and midfielders those Hudson, mount, Berkeley and even Tammy are fit for average teams and not ambitious teams like Chelsea 2 Likes 1 Share |

I think the use of VAR is selective. What works for one team doesn't work for another. Son gets a red card, Maguire goes free. Liverpool vs macln city the ref turned a blind eye to handballs but they will hurriedly award penalties to their favorites times. Its a another way of blind favouritism at work. That game yesterday was annoying....Maguire should have gotten a red card and 12 strokes of koboko for that silly challenge 1 Like |

LaMujer: I watched the video and I was very disappointed are FC Porto players especially otavio. They held him back and tried to convince him to play on. Instead of walking out with him. The three points was more important to them than the dignity of their team mate. I love what he did, he scored the winning goal, celebrated it by showing them the colour of his skin, walked off and told them to go Bleep themselves!!! The funny thing is Marega played on loan for the same team that racially abused him in 2016/2017 season and scores 14 goals while on loan. FIFA and other football governing bodies need to do better. Fines cannot move these people instead deduct 15 points for teams when their fans racially abuse any player. That will make them feel the heat. 3 Likes |

OGN reports that Kelechi Nwakali has been training with Huesca's first team and has been impressive so far so much that the club coaches and officials are kinda backtracking on their initial plans to send him out on loan to CD Ejea in the Spanish Third tier. The report also says that the coaches are working hard on getting K.Nwakali's fitness up to speed so as to get him involved in Huesca's hunt for promotion towards the remaining parts of the Segunda season. If true, then I think this is really positive news. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

safarigirl: Very silly excuse, I watched that interview when Magwaya (per KC) said he was trying to straighten his legs, if you watch his body language, to me it was clear he was lying, his eyes avoided the camera when he said the nonsense and he kept repeating it as if that would make it sound better. I hope the incident CA be revisited so he can at least get his 'post humous" red card and match bans. |

Moses Simon: A Wanted Man Nigeria Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon is flying at French club Nantes - on loan from Spanish side Levante. Nantes are keen to exercise their option by sealing a permanent deal (could cost up to 5million euros), and a potential move to a top club beckons, with two French giants and a German club sniffing around. I hear/read, from various sources, a fee of 20-25 million euros is being considered. Note: One of the two french Giants gunning for Simon is Olympique Lyon. Why do I think this racism of a thing is overblown. One life principle is that once people find a perfect weapon against you and you externally shows them it pains, they will continually use it against you anytime they want. The best thing is to find a perfect antidote which to me is to use the weapon(racism) to your best advantage. Take for instance, Dani Alves , he was racially abused.A banana was thrown at him when he was about to take a corner, he neither whined nor walked out of the field, he picked it up , ate it and went ahead to bag an assist from the corner kick. You were racially abused and u angrily left the field, that to me feels like u are not proud of your root, skin colour and who you are. Racism doesn't have an antidote..the best weapon is to render it useless . Black players should stop being childish, show some resilience and toughness. They got broken down easily. This is my own opinion... no insult pls. cc oga pidgib 5 Likes |

Insult and criticism are both different. Moreso , if u are a regular visitor of this thread, u will understand where am going with that last sentence. |

ILLICITblood: On a serious note, for several centuries our ancestors had the thick skin and could not even complain about being called all sorts of names, derided and treated like scum and worse than animals. It is still being done in some climes, but I believe everyone of us who has a voice shouldn't tolerate this anymore, not all the little boys and girls will understand having thick skins or ignoring such despicable behaviour. I commend Marega for standing up for what's wrong. If we think about it, it goes beyond just us, we have a responsibility to stand up for that little black boy and girl and let the whole world know it is nothing but animalistic to deride us because of our skin color. 3 Likes 1 Share |
