Mr Two faced will agree with you but when Haarland scores he will show himself as Haarland's No 1 fan grin

Btw Miss, what matters is the end product whether you sleep for 80 minutes and score 2 goals or run around the field and score the same two goals

What matters is the result

What matters is having a forward you can rely upon at all times.

PSG's undoing tonight, was a defense that failed to lock down Haaland, and let me tell you this, he is the sort of striker that can easily be caged with the right defense. You know he'll be hanging around the post, so, you can lock him down

Now, a forward like Osimhen, that can create AND score? Those ones are unpredictable, because even locking them down will not stop the team from scoring.

You stop Haaland, Dortmund is all smoke and no fire. You stop Osimhen, all you did was give space for someone else.

I hate to make this comparison, because I don't like that little person, but it's a lot like Messi and CR7. You stop CR7, your work is done, you stop Messi.....well, you never really stop Messi.

Both players are good in their own rights, but their styles appeal differently and to different people. It depends on the sort of football fan you are; if you are results-oriented, Haaland is your guy, if you just want to watch beautiful football AND get results, Osimhen is your guy. Haaland is The Terminator, Osimhen is Picasso.

Watching Haaland today, felt like eating tasteless/bland food; it satisfies your hunger, but it does nothing for your taste buds. Jadon though, he had all the flavour.

PS: CR7 is actually a far more versatile forward than Haaland and more interesting to watch, though they may be similar, and I think Osimhen has more fight/ruthlessness in his game, than Messi.

Abeg, I hear say Our Super Eagles' march game vs Sierra Leone have been scheduled for Asaba.

The initial plans of Benin City was scrapped because of the National Sports festival and other reasons like that.

Game is gonna hold on the 27th of March with the return in Freetown four days later.

Hmmm... Asaba again. Last time we played there, we drew am I right? But for one thing, we have never lost in Asaba. We have won some games there and drew twice there I think.

The statistics look lovely, and I was almostt convinced by it, but after watching the game, Haaland is not better than Osimhen.

Man can't create to save his life. He was anonymous for 60 minutes, at the first half the analysts admitted he was scarce and even the commentators made the same observation.

Jadon Sancho, Axel Witsel, Achraf Hakimi, Emre Can and Thorgan Hazard are really the life force of that Dortmund team.

Haaland just waits at the goal post for one of them to do something, so he can collect the glory.

Osimhen, exploits more ground and is certainly an all round better forward.

The Stats are much prettier than the full story.
.

Haaland doesn't just wait at the goalpost. He seeks to exploit loopholes in the defence. That's what makes him extremely dangerous. He has that goal poacher's killer instinct and his movement is just on another level. Did you see his second goal?

In just 3 matches,he already had a massive record of 8 goals from 10 shots, just one off target. The guy is a beast.

Unfortunately, he'll always have his doubters cos he's not the type to hold on to the ball for long, and that makes people believe he's not working hard, but that to me,is his greatest asset.

It's obvious you didn't watch Haaland at Salzburg.
Let's take Robben for example, you know how they say you always know he's gonna cut in to his left foot but you still, just can't stop him? Well,an almost similar rule applies to Haaland, the guy seems almost too smart for any defense he plays against. He's very hard to mark because of specific places he exploits on the pitch.

You should take some time out to watch more of his games. This time, more meticulously. I know you'll be glad you did.

Actually what you just said there is not even an indicator for "working hard". How does holding on to the ball for long relate to hard work? That's funny.
And talking of players who exploit loopholes in defence, Iheanacho has become a master of that too. He is so good at it in fact and Iheanacho is definitely a super goal poacher himself.

Poaching is one of Haaland's greatest attacking assets and we have seen same with Iheanacho overtime. But with Osimhen, we have seen his poaching skills, space exploitations in defence and much much more like his link up plays, his ability to exploit the flanks and vary his attacking threat from Central to the flanks and from the flanks to Central at will, his mega-pressing, his defensive contributions when his team is on the back foot, etc... That's the big difference.

So Safari is right in summarising the lad up as a player who waits for the chances to come to him and fall to him. She is right.

And please stop that, his movement is not on another level or better than what we have seen Mbappe do. Mbappe has similar motion quality and we have seen Iheanacho exhibit such movement quality time and time again. Osimhen is doing so week in, week out in Ligue 1. Did you see his last goal vs Marseille? Did you see his movement for the goal? How he timed that run and moved into space for that Bamba pass? Oga... If that is not also on another level then I wonder what else is.

Yet he was useless and utterly caged against Leverkusen?? Dortmund scored 3 goals that day mind you and Haaland had no hand in any. He was totally caged and beyond him scoring, he could offer nothing else. So what exactly are you saying?

And ohhh... And you are talking to someone who have watched well more than a score of Haaland's games at Salzburg and Dortmund. Even saw him at the U-20 WC.

And plsss stop using the Robben analysis for Haaland. It doesn't go well analogically at all. That is reserved for Chukwueze who is much more exciting, far more electric and more Robben-esque. I have seen analysts use it for Chuks severally so Biko no bring am here for Haaland. Find something else. grin

You just trying to escape your post being countered and knocked down. grin

And you obviously jumped into the convo knowing that the Osimhen-Haaland talks were flying around. You jumped into the convo trying to use "holding the ball too much" as what we use here to judge a hardworking player. See why I am the one with the laughter tones? grin You just weren't making any sense man. You were just forcing a point to drive home scores for your obvious favorite.

Mister, you didn't even have to make a comparison naa (but you actually did without you knowing it)... It is obvious you came here to talk up your own choice and in the process saying some things which are untrue like the lad being too smart for all defences. Abeg was he too smart for Leverkusen? How come he could offer nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing beyond him scoring?

Look, I like Haaland but I honestly think you guys are just going over the top with overbloated analysis of the lad.
No one even underrates Haaland and CLEARLY THE LAD BEING UNDERRATED HERE IS OSIMHEN. HE IS CLEARLY UNDERRATED BY YOU which explains why you didn't even bother to drop a word on him.

And in conclusion, learn to welcome more discussions and understand that in making your observation, you also indirectly made a comparison. Imagine saying Haaland is underrated. Underrated by who please? Hahahahaha... You are really funny. You clearly don't know what "underrated" means bcoz we all know truthfully Osimhen is the underrated one.

Greatness is not reserved for one alone. Haaland will be great if he continues like this but Osimhen is also on that path and I replied with my counter-observations to some of what you uttered bcoz not all was uttered in truth.

Observation locked in.

Goodnight. smiley

And you talk a lot(just for the records),do us all a favour and tone it down a little, aiit?
Good morning.

Time will sort out all these arguments.

Objectively, Haaland is definitely rated higher than Osimhen at the moment because of the goals he has scored at the highest level.

You can say, he has played for better teams. Let us see Osimhen when he moves to a better team.

And the cat is out of the bag. Another pretentious "w*nker" has a grouse with the Supernerd. Lol...

Listen pussy, if you wanna talk football then talk. But if you wanna have a go at how smart I am... Man, you are nothing compared to what I got upstairs. That I can tell you for free. cool

Now back to your "Haaland is underrated" comment. Let me redirect the question at your silly self. Please how many people actually underrate Haaland? Just tell me. smiley

Haaland that has been the song of the media around Europe even before he signed with Dortmund?? Even I don't underrate Haaland for goodness sake. You see how silly your comment looks? Gosh. Such calumnic nonsense.

And it is not talking, genius... It is typing, you olodo!!! Lol. Obviously you haven't been following the thread long enough to know I type Epistles when I want and how I want... So quit the pseudointellectual garbage front you are trying so hard to put up and cease typing more junks, silly. Merci. grin

Trying to underrate what Haaland does is unfair. It is not a coincidence that he is getting so many goals.

No one is underrating what he does. What Safarigirl has done in her posts is to accurately describe the kind of centre forward he is. One who feeds off all that is served to him. Finito.

And ofcos he will get a lot of goals. Lad is a brilliant finisher who take the chances served him well. So brilliant in fact. That is something I have personally harped on in this same thread. I call him a monster. But when the Osimhen comparison talks pop up, I state where they are different and the Haaland fanboys don't just seem to like it and just throw his stats around like it tells the whole story.

Both are special. And Haaland is not better than Osimhen. He is more highly rated by the media obviously but he is not better.

.

It's quite easy to discredit Haaland's achievement s despite how mind boggling they are by simply saying he scores simple goals or doesnt work hard enough. I've heard that a lot from some colleagues.

Well said though. Time will certainly tell. Osimhen will definitely move to a bigger team, that one isn't even up for argument cool.
