When I sent financial docs to my Uni in order to get CAS, my fixed deposit document was refused because they stated that the UK embassy would deny me due to that. I wonder how your Uni gave you CAS with a fixed deposit.

I got these reply on my review today, what do you think?

All u need is your one year MAINTENANCE FUND which is £9,135 then add your tuition balance (9,135+10,000 =19,135) and keep in your account for 28days and apply
Simply as ABC

Yes exactly as I thought. I just needed a firm confirmation.

Hello elders in the house. Justwise, Lagosismyhome and other gurus

Just considering my options, what are the chances of getting a tier 2 job with an MBA in the UK? Is it an employable course in the UK

(NB: I have read a lot of stuffs online but I still need the input of more experienced minds)

What general advice would you give to someone looking to go for an MBA course in the UK?

Is it worth doing?

Secondly would an HND graduate be considered for an MBA course in the UK?

Just considering my options and making sure I get the best value for the money am going to spend as well as set myself on a path to an employable career.

Thanks in advance

I want to calculate the equivalent of £22385 in Naira but don't know the exchange rate to use.

I know forex is volatile, so please who knows the rate at worst case scenario that I can use.

Google oanda that is the only one used by UKVI...... and the rate used is the one on the date you submit the application. So you might want to add 5 naira or 10 naira to what is shown as a buffer incase exchange rate increases when you want to apply

MBA is a course not a profession in the UK... that the best way I can explain. After the MBA the jobs will still be back to what do you have irrelevant work experience in

That is what UK embassy use to convert at the specified date of your biometric appointment.

Hello, you just boast my moral about a comment you made as regards free school for kids in Uk if I happen to go on study visa. Pls is this info confirmed? Thanks

In the UK, children must be in full-time education from the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday, until the age of 16. Schooling for children aged 16 and under who are in the UK as the dependants of international students is free.

My advice would be not to pursue an MBA if your focus is a Tier 2 permit.

You stand a much better chance getting a Tier 2 if your occupation is one of those on the shortage list. It doesn't mean that those with non-listed occupations cannot get a CoS; just that the chances are small.
Business-related occupations are not on the shortage list.

UK POST BREXIT SETTLEMENT IMMIGRATION- MINIMUM OF 70 POINTS REQUIRED

You must fulfill the 3 Mandatory components- Job approval from a Tier 2 sponsor, job at appropriate skilled level and English language proficiency.

Anyone wanting to come to the UK to work must have a job offer with a salary threshold of £25,600 – though a salary “floor” of £20,480 will be acceptable if in shortage job lists. Those with PhD in STEM discipline will also be favoured.

Note that if there is high competition, candidates with high scores will be invited to apply. So having 70 points does not guarantee acceptance.

Check the below image for the breakdown.

I have noticed a common thing from all the visa threads on this website

NIGERIANS TOO LIKE THE EASY WAY OUT!

Everybody is shouting UK study visa.
There’s work there . You get 2 years. This one that one.

Which work sef? Care work that you be cleaning Oyibo man ynash , bathing them & feeding them. Or is it mental health where you will be battling with mad people?

On top of that work , you will be paying tuition, rent , bills & other expenses. Which kind suffer life be that?

Everybody is saying don’t go to France or EU country because of language , you won’t find work. Who told you that bullshit? You can always learn the language and it’s of your own benefit. Also I’m sure there’re jobs there you can do without knowing french . Like technical jobs or even working in cities with English tourists.

The 4.5m I will use to go to the U.K. which is only half tuition and other expenses, will take me to EU country pay my two years full tuition, pay my flight , visa and even up to 9 months accommodation with pocket money join.

You people should stop jam packing yourselves in UK that don’t want immigrants anymore. You will finish studying and not get any damn postgraduate job except you’re in medical field or maybe engineering. You will finish studying and see yourself in Nigeria after all the millions spent there.

Time flies and that 2 years you people are shouting will come and pass . You will spend the 2 years doing nonsense agency care work because you don’t have a verifiable work experience to get full time sponsorship job.

Oyibo no too sigh your degree. It’s your skills and experience they’re looking at. If you have1st class and non verifiable work experience from Nigeria with no skills , you won’t get job.

Going there to study international business or management is just a waste of your time. Those degrees are not in demand there. Even the British people that studied it there are jobless not talk more of you.

You people should wise up and stop forcing U.K. on yourself and other people.

There’re other countries where you will go to and not believe the good things waiting for you there.

My friend that left for japan last year its already a professor in one university with approx 1m salary per month . But Nigerians don’t value all these countries because it’s only U.K. US Canada that they low.

You people should wise up and research other countries too!

Cheap universities in U.K. Below £12,500

Birmingham City University-£11,500 after £1,500 discount.

Sheffield Hallam University- £10,250 (one year) ,£12,250 (two years) , after £3,000 discount.

Teeside University - £7k per year

University of Central Lancashire

University of Hertfordshire

University of West London

If you have 1st or 2:1, you’re qualified for most scholarships from the universities.

You’re usually required to pay 50% of tuition before enrolment then balance in instalments whilst studying.

Nursing and engineering students have higher chances of securing TIER 2 Visa over business students.

When applying for visa , you’re required to show required funds for 28 days. There’re companies where you pay 7% of whatever you loan and they will fund your account for the visa.

Easiest jobs to get are care jobs ( working in care homes) and mental health jobs .

You’re required to work 20 hours a week but you can work up to 55 hours a week if needed . Immigration won’t hold you .

Apply to universities outside London for cheaper cost of living.

As a student, you pay the NHS surcharge of 300 pounds a year and you get to use the NHS at no cost thereafter, excluding dental care. You will be exempt from council tax. No other access to public funds allowed.

When the issue of free state education comes up, select your locations carefully, the outcomes for public schools in the north especially are poor, so cheaper housing and cost of living will have be offset against that.

Business courses , MBA etc are not in demand so your chances of getting a tier 2 with those degrees is like looking for dry sand in the middle of the ocean.

Only nursing or medical , engineering and IT science degrees that have chances of getting that tier 2 because they can find work sponsors.

If you work more than 20 hours a week when the school is not on holiday, immigration fit hold u ooo.

Before u go to U.K. go with real money not Audio money ooo. If the company loan you money to fund your acct for visa purpose, what happens when u get to U.K.? My mentality about studying in U.K is to have atleast 70 to 80% of Tuition fees, then 60% of Living expenses available, not audio money o, maybe part time jobs can work the rest if you are lucky. I never been to U.K. but those who went there without proper planning ehn, na their degree suffer am and in the end u wasted a lot of money and hard work with a degree that can't even be useful to you.

Oga I studied in the U.K. so I know all the scope about living there .

Immigration cannot hold you because they don’t know. The agency you’re working for 55 hours a week will record only 20 hours on your tax system. They’re not stupid too because if they’re caught , they will be fined £20k. So even if you work 100 hours , they will only write 20 hours on the system for you .

The money the company is loaning you is for the visa . Is not everyone that has up to 10m for 28 days visa funds. Somebody might have 3m after paying tuition but cannot apply for visa because of that required funds.

If you scroll up or check my previous post, you will see that I have also advised going there to study based on my experience. But some people don’t care as long as it’s abroad . so I can only assist them in going there, nothing more.
