It's a choice I like UK not cos I want to stay back. Schooling where u like will make things easy. My younger brother did all his PG in the UK and has travelled to the US, Canada and many Euro countries. I chosed UK because I like UK simple. What's bad in coming back to naija to work? Education can never be too expensive, it only depends on wt u want. ow U.K. that is pursing Europeans thy have stay back policy? Or do you think that the 2 years stay back policy counts towards settlement? Do you think you can easily secure a job during that 2 years? Have you even taken your time to reach about Boris immigration rules? U.K. is one of the hardest places to secure pr. Even the tier 2 visa is usually 3 years you get . Then you can renew it if ONLY your company wants to retain you . It’s better someone spends nothing or very low tuition in a country then from there migrate to another place than to spend all their savings on U.K. tuition for nothing . France is €3770 per year . Some universities is €289 per year and you get 1 year stay back . Same as Italy , Spain etc. If you get a masters in Europe you can apply for tier 2 or talent visa and move to U.K.! Your certificate will be recognised Just have to develop your skills and experience during your masters in whichever country you’re in. You don’t have to be in the UK to find a company to sponsor your tier 2 visa Create LinkedIn and connect with recruiters. Being in the EU already gives you an advantage [/quote] 4 Likes |

Phatkings: Please I have in mind to study International project management with advanced practice. My first degree is mechanical engineering. After my graduation I joined the banking industry so my work experience is limited in engineering and more in banking operations. Pls what are my chances and what could be the best advice for someone in my case. I choose international project management because it is relevant to my existing degree. |

Latest UK Post Brexit Immigration Policy. Today the Government has published information on the UK’s new points-based immigration system. This clearly sets out the way forward on our commitment to making a firmer and fairer immigration system, and one which will attract the brightest and best, based on the skills a person has to offer, not their nationality. Our proposals will see us implement a comprehensive programme of work which will transform the way in which all migrants come to the UK to work, study, visit or join their family. From 1 January 2021, free movement will end and be replaced with the UK’s new points-based immigration system to cater for the most highly skilled workers, students and a range of other specialist work routes including for global leaders and innovators. All migrants looking to enter the UK to work or study will need to apply for permission in advance. As we continue to attract the labour force we need to contribute to our economy, our communities and our public services, we intend to create a high wage, high skill, high productivity economy across our United Kingdom. Skilled workers For skilled workers, we will introduce a points-based system that is open to EU and non-EU citizens. This will be employer-led, and all applicants will be required to have a job offer by an approved employer sponsor. The job will need to be at a required skill level, and applicants will need to be able to speak English. From January 2021, those applying will be able to trade points on specific characteristics against their salary. Applicants may be able to earn less than the £25,600 minimum salary threshold if, for example they are working in an industry that has a shortage of workers or they have a PhD. Global talent For highly skilled workers, the Global Talent route (which expands upon the Tier 1 Exceptional Talent route) has recently been reformed, removing the cap on numbers and increasing the number of endorsing bodies. This newly expanded route will ensure that top researchers, scientists and mathematicians with specialist skills in the sector are provided with fast-track entry to the UK. Our new science offer, which will launch tomorrow (20 February) will enable a wider pool of world-leading scientific talent and top researchers to apply to come to the UK and make an important contribution to our leading science and research sectors. The Global Talent route will be open to EU citizens on the same basis as non-EU citizens, from January 2021. In the longer term, and in line with recommendations from the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) report, an unsponsored route for highly skilled workers as part of the new UK points-based immigration system will be introduced. Other workers We will not introduce a general low-skilled or temporary work route. However, initiatives have already been introduced for scientists and researchers, graduates, certain NHS professionals and those in the agriculture sector. This, alongside changes to the salary and skills thresholds, will provide businesses with additional flexibility. The Government has announced an expansion of the Seasonal Workers Pilot. This pilot is part of the current temporary worker route and will help to inform our thinking on sectoral schemes as we move towards our future immigration system. We will update you on matters of the points-based immigration system as and when new information becomes available. Yours sincerely, Rt Hon Priti Patel MP 3 Likes |

Lymarh: If English is the language you learnt growing up through immersion, whether you grew up monolingual (speaking English alone) or bilingual (speaking English and another language, say Igbo or Yoruba), then say yes. There are many people in Nigeria for whom English is not their first language. |

UK is good, but I think one shouldn't invest much in the UK when there are better European countries with far low tuition.. If all my plan fails(God forbid),then I will then look at the UK. |

Good afternoon everyone. Thanks for your inputs. I'm a silent reader and still in the process of filling my application. I have eyes on Coventry University, Birmingham University and Sheffied Hallam for September Batch. I have pended all of my applications because of my transcript. It's been over 3 weeks I started processing it in the school I graduated but yet to get it. Does not submiting my transcript alongside other documents pose a challenge to getting Admitted in my any of these schools? Though in my Coventry application, there's no place specific to submit the Transcript. Please I will appreciate your inputs. |

Send in your applications regardless and continue to chase your transcript. At the very least you’d get a conditional offer stating that your transcript needs to be submitted. ELff: |
