[quote author=omavicky post=86841151] I had failed induction at 41 weeks, if not for God my baby wouldn't have made it because his heartbeat was dropping, it was just a doctor passing by that noticed i was also running fever and i was rushed to the theater.. His 14 months now and a very smart boy..Induction works for some people, but i wont encourage anyone to go for it based on my experience.[/quote

Wow. Thanks a lot for sharing mama.

Will also like to know too
40weeks already, Hosp said induction is by 41weeks 3days
I pray baby comes before then
Anyone with successful induction?

I am yet to hear positive feedback yet. I might just opt for the C$S. My hubby just insist that induction in most of the Nigerian hospitals are not properly monitored.

Lolzzzz, I stopped looking at the mirror ooo. The day I mistakenly did eh, I was scared of the image staring back at me.
Asin its not a funny thing to look at,the last time I went to the saloon as I just looked at myself in the mirror there I was shocked at the image I was seeing, the big and ugly nose just make the matter worsen. I don't know why my nose always increase in size during pregnancy.

BS!BS!
I slept on the 11th night with severe back pain and by morning of 12th I had serious contractions.I had to call dh from work to come take me to the hospital and by the time he came back around 9:30am we left for the hospital with my bags in the car
I was 36 weeks.
At the hospital the doctor checked me and decided to bring out the baby instead of waiting for the agreed date fixed earlier.
I was prepped and walked to the theater and spinal was applied,it took effect and within 15 minutes baby came out crying.
The doctor finished suturing me and I was wheeled to recovery room
It ended in praise.
Baby came at 36 weeks weighing 3kg.

Congratulations on the birth of your princess. On lactating, try not to worry because worrying in itself can cause you not to lactate. Just relax, eat and drink a lot of water, put your baby to breast always and trust your body to do what it is made to do. E hugs
Thanks ma. I'm doing that already

I'm lending out my boot to all GTC moms because I was once told that I'm among the women that don't give birth on earth because of my nature of hormonal imbalance. Which no medical solution worked for.

Hopefully if there's a possibility of vba2c then I'll collect the boot. Let those that needs it rock it.
Thanks to all mama's on this thread, your contributions have been helpful even if one don't comment on it.

All praise and adoration to Almighty Allah for making the pregnancy journey a stress free one for me.
At my 35weeks appointment baby was measuring 4 weeks behind according to fundal measurement doctor told me to go for a biophysical scan to know how baby is doing and bring it the following week (36weeks appointment). Scan showed baby was doing well but fundal height still behind, I was asked to see the consultant and he said I should go for another biophysical scan in 2 weeks time if the fetus growth is not significant I will be induced to avoid IUGR. 2 weeks came and the scan show increase in size but fundal weight was like 9 weeks apart that was how the doctor said he does not want to take chances. I was admitted and the catheter was inserted around 9.00pm contraction started 2 hrs later and was coming 5 mins apart but it was bearable I slept off by past 3 a.m. The doctor came to check me by 8:00 am and I was already 5 cm dilated he broke my water and set drip with oxytocin by 8.50 am and the drama began almost immediately. Contractions came with full force but I was breathing in and out instead of shouting later I resolved to biting the mattress. The matron kept checking and increasing the flow of the drip, I told her not to increase again. After some hour I felt the urge to poo and I told her to come check me she told me to push with the next contraction, I did and my baby head came out the should wss stucked and contraction didn't come she now said this baby will need resurrection the next minute like this another contraction came and I pushed him out and he cried out loud the matron said thank God no need for resurrection. The placenta was delivered and I had a minor tear which was suture. Baby weighed 2.4kg.
I wish all the remaining mama stress free delivery. Team March I still remain your loyal cappo.

Birth Story

First of all, I want to really appreciate all the mamas here and on ATC thread for your congrats, support, likes, calls. Thank you all. We will always have cause to rejoice. My able Captain thank you.

Sorry I have been offline.
My baby girl came at exactly 36weeks through vaginal birth. It was a short, fulfilling experience.

I had been experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions since like 6months in pregnancy. I wasn't worried. At the beginning of 36weeks or thereabout ,the contractions started coming with menstrual like aches. I quickly arranged to complete the packing of few remaining items for my hospital box as I didn't want to be caught unawares.

I went to market and added my last few remaining items to my box. That night, I started experiencing what I knew where the real contractions. It came with serious pain. I tried to be breathing in and out through them so as to conserve my energy for delivery like we had been taught here and in antenatal. It worked. I could control myself and manage the contractions better by not shouting. I was writhing, groaning and opening/closing mouth Upandan. Next day, being a Sunday... I prepared to go to church. My husband asked if I will be able to. I said let me try. That most times, the contractions respect themselves when I'm in church grin based on my Braxton Hicks experience.

When I was returning from church, na then e hook me again. I just managed to get to my home. Another dimension of labour started towards evening. It was coming more frequently. Like 10-15 mins. 8-5 mins. Irregularly but frequently and more intense.
My husband and I didn't want to get to the hospital and be sent home that we were still 2/4cm dilated. So we stayed on contemplating whether to go in the morning of the next day or to go later that night.

At a point, we decided to just go and check how dilated I was cos the labour had increased in every way. Couldn't take two spoons of food without being interrupted by intense painful contractions.

Brethren, we got to the hospital around 8.45pm. They checked me in the delivery room and the doctor said I was 8cm dilated and he could see or was it feel baby's head! Nobody was more surprised than me!

They asked if I brought my hospital bag. I said yes oo. They said if I had delayed longer I would have given birth at home or in the car.
That was how they started preparing for delivery. I didn't get up again after checking. The nurse was setting my drip when I felt baby's head coming. I told her o. So she started trying to deliver baby and complete setting up my drip line.

I pushed the first time. Then she said she would give me a cut on the second push to make more room for baby's head. I was given a cut and I pushed and shouted/screamed to bring forth my child 45mins after getting to the hospital. We never knew we had done most of the labouring at home but we were glad we did. God made it fast, easy and He took all the glory.

I was stitched with local anesthetic and that was it. Thank you for your time, mamas.
To my teamies that have birthed, I say big congrats! To those who will still drop, I say safe delivery. To my dear ATC mums, I say the God who did it for us is still in the business of doing good. He will come through for you and you will carry your babies sooner rather than later.

Good morning mama's. My baby is 11 months and 2 weeks old. He eats solids and fruits well, he is not a picky eater. His gerber rice, Tom brown, formula and oats just finished and I'm thinking of buying golden morn, gerber rice, peak 123 with the tom brown only for him this morning. I don't know if it's okay to introduce golden morn to him now since he still has 2 weeks left to clock 1 year?

If you really trust your hospital and you are sure they will keep monitoring you, I'll advise you try it. Ensure you have your birthing partner with you that can sense danger fast. Pray and God will help you in whatever decision you choose.

Congratulations mama... There's no harm in giving formula until breastfeeding is established. After then you can start your exclusive. Just keep putting your baby to breast, you might feel nothing is coming out but some things will come out.
