Useless old man show us where he did either traditional ceremony or the wedding ceremony. Chioma is not different from other baby mamas because Davido is yet to do any marital stuff on her head. Keep fooling around with your usual lies simply because Chioma is another prostitute from Imo state.

When you go for introduction, which Davido did.

You are going to tell them that you are interested in marrying their daughter that you have come so that they can plan the marriage.

If the father doesn't like you to marry the daughter, he doesn't accept your gift and it's over.

But if he does the planning starts from there.

Gbam. Confam
festacman:
- As an adult, Chioma willingly cohabited with Davido.
- Davido openly declares his love for Chioma in a song titled "Assurance", asking water to carry him away if he jilts her. Eventually, Chioma became pregnant for Chioma.
- Subsequently, both Davido and Chioma's families have formally met and are fully aware that their children intend to marry.
- Davido not only witnessed the birth of Ifeanyi but signed his birth certificate as his father.
- Davido, in the presence of members of both his and Chioma's families, named his son David Ifeanyi Adeleke at a public event.
- Ever since the birth of Ifeanyi, Davido has assumed and performed all necessary paternal duties.
- Currently, Chioma still lives with Davido and gives her body freely to him.

In view of foregoing and given that since the birth of Ifeanyi, no man has surfaced to make any paternity claim, I hereby insist and affirm that Ifeanyi Adeleke is biologically and legally Davido Adeleke's son.

This muslim man, if you are not ready to follow the tradition stick to your own women, customary laws are sacrosanct and cannot be overruled. If you think otherwise, bring your fulani herdsmen and settle them by force on communal lands by quoting your constitution. Even your buhari as rabidly nepotistic can try it!
You guys are so dumb but you claim wiseness. You repeat the same few words, Muslim, Afonja, Fulani cow, etc, when you run out of sense.

Tell your women to stick to their own misogynistic men if you don't want fulani or Yoruba bastard. Igbo customary laws don't apply to non igbos.

What's concerns fulani herdsmen and communal lands in what we are talking about. Igbo men can not take other men's children from other tribes and you cannot blackmail other people to marry your daughters or sisters by force.

Your laws are barely a few decades old, but Igbo customary laws have outlived your 10 generation ancestors and will outlive your 10th generation offspring. We both know that.
Same way allowing twins to live is barely a few decades old, but customary laws to have them murdered have outlived your 10 generation.

That child belongs to the maternal family, take it or leave it.

I know it's hard for you to accept or understand, but the child belongs to both father and mother according to the Nigerian laws.

Introduction is different from marriage rites. As at today Chioma is a mere girl friend to David and not his wife.

He's just saying they're not as broke as you think.

At least they can afford a lawyer.
The case will not be heard at Umuahia customary court. The case will be heard at either the Osun state high Court or the Lagos State high Court. Now tell me, which law will prevail at the state high Court?

Irrelevant to paternity. Even if chioma is Davido's 1 night stand, as long as it's is proven that the child matches his DNA, he is the legal father.

Quote one part of the Constitution to buttress you claim.

Read the Child's Rights Act of 2003, I know you're lazy so let me quote it for you:

68.-( 1)Where the father and mother of a child were not married to each other
at the time ofthe birth of the child-
(a) the Family Court established under section 153 of this Act may-
(i) on the application of the father, order that he shall have parental
responsibility for the child, or
(ii) on the application of the mother, order that she shall have parental
responsibility for the child, or
(b) the father and mother may by agr .uent have joint parental responsibility
for the child.

DO YOU SEE ANY MENTION OF THE MOTHER'S PARENTS OR TRIBESMEN grin grin grin

Davido is the rightful owner of the child because that's his blood.

Juliusmalema:
I don't know how these guys used to think..

Davido as it stands now is not the rightful owner of that child.

How can you claim a child you've not done anything on the mothers' head.

Chioma's father has greater and 100 percent claim on the child than Davido...........Thats just the fact.

Praise God, the point is gradually sinking in;
Non igbos don't know or care about Igbo traditions. It's important only to igbos.

Please on a more sincere note let us all try and respect tradition.

That child in Igbo tradition rightfully belongs to chioma's father.

How can Davido be claiming a child he hasn't done. Anything on the mothers head. It is fully reserved for chioma's father to either allow the child to go over to David or not.

If he decides tomorrow that this child will be part of his land inheritance and will take his share as his son. He is right.

I am yet to come to terms how this child belongs to david.

The twitter user was right.

Finally, judges that are versed in people's tradition will try such case and on merit of it.

Chioma is Igbo, and her culture says her father owns the child.
Davido is Yoruba, and his culture says he owns the child.
Both sides are supported by various customary laws.
Please, which one do we choose here now? Is one customary law greater than the other?
Or one tradition should be respected over the other?

Mr Wuruwuru Monsuru, plenty words cannot fill a basket. The Customs remain the customs, it survived the British, it will survive nigeria and post-Nigeria.

Your sexually loose tribe are not qualified to seek modification of Igbo customs, you are too lowly for that, even the Brits couldn't, so who tha hell are you? A hopeless agbero? Telling a traditionally proud Igbo man about customs? Tufia! May the gods and all the esoteric powers within cosmos and beyond forbid!

An semi-literate like you, doesn't even know where twins (Ejimas) were killed in pre-historic Nigeria? yet you think you are qualified to lecture me about historical customs? You were probably busy impregnating little sekinat without plans for bride price at the back of the classroom while the history teacher gave his lessons.

This is not true, as long as Davido took care of Chioma and the child, the child belongs to him. that is the law. the law supersedes every tradition

Wherever the case is heard, women are generally given custody of very young children, except in cases where the mother is incapable or proven irresponsible. That doesn't mean davido would not be given parental rights. No other man can claim the child.

Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa gba fuoooo. I think you are from the south west. If you are from the east then you do not know the tradition.
