Yoruba get culture? Her parents are not just interested in all that cultural stuff...Even in court of law, a child u didnt pay a price on the mother does not belong to you, cos the woman is still under her father. U must buy the land b4 u can claim the tree and the mango..

In family court
That tradition is baseless.

Even as an igbo man myself
I know such laws USED to be applicable
Bug in 2020?

I laugh you

Except the father of the baby just accept like that
If he takes it up, the court will make nonsense of the tradition

The kid not belong to him base on infidelity and how a Yoruba child will bear ifeanyi, if the baby belong to him even the mother will not allow the child to be called ifeanyi when she knew that she was pregnate by Yoruba guy,

Just say you are pained that your Igbo ladies are rushing Yoruba guys.

Stop these silly, poorly constructed tales by the moonlight grin
Hmmmm... But I am happy when my Igbo sisters marry to yoruba guys. It gives me joy!

In my family we have two Yoruba women as wives and about three Yoruba girls to join us sooner than later.

Carry your blind tribalism go hug Transformer abeg.

- As an adult, Chioma willingly cohabited with Davido.
- Davido openly declares his love for Chioma in a song titled "Assurance", asking water to carry him away if he jilts her. Eventually, Chioma became pregnant for Chioma.
- Subsequently, both Davido and Chioma's families have formally met and are fully aware that their children intend to marry.
- Davido not only witnessed the birth of Ifeanyi but signed his birth certificate as his father.
- Davido, in the presence of members of both his and Chioma's families, named his son David Ifeanyi Adeleke at a public event.
- Ever since the birth of Ifeanyi, Davido has assumed and performed all necessary paternal duties.
- Currently, Chioma still lives with Davido and gives her body freely to him.

In view of foregoing and given that since the birth of Ifeanyi, no man has surfaced to make any paternity claim, I hereby insist and affirm that Ifeanyi Adeleke is biologically and legally Davido Adeleke's son.

Your write up is unnecessary cos it doesn't address the question asked by the person ...He is advising davido to go and complete all necessary formalities that will make him a full married man. And by extension make him the father of ifeanyi. ..cos if there situation remains this way and God forbid chroma abandons him and marry another man with that child, then Davido status as the father will now be transferred to the new man

Chioma's father remains the owner of the child until the bride price is paid

Fallacy. Even if Chioma marries another man today, Ifeanyi belongs to Davido forever unless he gives up his right formally by submitting the child for adoption.

This nonsense only applies when an Igbo boy is involved. Once a Yoruba guy is involved, your own don finish be that.
I have an Igbo girl like you who tried this nonsense with a neighbour. By the time the matter got to the court, she lost heavily.

You're a joker of the century!!! let’s assume you married Chioma and Davido comes for his child then you will come to a conclusion that you own the child simply because you paid her bride price??

The truth is simple. A whole region in Nigeria believes that Davido has no child with chioma.

Kiss the truth
