Your area should determine the kind of business to dive in that would require less of your time but to me, n as I'm in lagos and with the heat of nowadays, what i will venture into with that money is to get a shop (250k)
Get ice block machine(it comes in different sizes but the one of 250k should be okay) get a double door deep freezer (200k) then stock my shop with soft drinks and table water (100k) get a gen that can power both machine for 200k all together is 1m.


People are always looking for cold drink every season even in hamattan season.
You start selling cold drink to traffic hawkers and also sell ice blocks to people who have party or any event then grow big in the business...

Invest in the snooker / pool table business

You can get a good snooker table for 300k. Brand new and Coin operated.

The advantage of the coin operated table is that you do not need to monitor the table 24/7.

Just count the number of coins in the safe box then you know how many games have been played in a day or week. So you can easily calculate number of coins and amount per game.

I have a friend who makes between 15-20k weekly from this business.

You can place your snooker table in a busy hotel, bar, shopping mall etc.

A very busy bar/ lounge will always be a good option.

Just have an agreement with the manager and place your table within the premises.

You can split profits with the management or pay rent every month (10k max ).

A table doesn't require repairs or maintaince. Just ensure its well kept and not abused.

Ok here is my own idea, not necessarily for the original poster.
Notice that there are a lot jobless able bodied guys around who are willing to work just to feed. Give them work to do by having them mold blocks for you to sell.
Set a site near the sand source, preferably close to natural water source.
Buy wheel barrows for them to move sand into your site. Teach them how to make blocks.
If they mold 100 bags in a day, that would give you 3500 of 9 inches blocks.
Cement is #2600 total landing cost. So 100 is 260k
Water is free
Sand is almost free due to your location.
Pay your 10 guys 5k a day for a total of 50k daily.

Total cost for each block is
(260k + 50k + 100k sand) \ 3500 = #118.
Sell at #180 each (the recommended market price is #220 each).
Profit of #60 on each Block
Total daily profit is # 60 x 3500= #210k
If you work 20 days in month you make #4.4M
Now you need a truck like dyna to supply the block because you are in a remote location.

Remember this is fictional and just a hypothetical one.

I suggest you start a standard POS Point where u can make 2-3k daily for a first Month. and i tell you after 3 months you can make 5-20k daily depend your relationship with customer and your commitment.

I can give you contact of someone that can put you through. You basically need at least 2 different POS machines which costs about 70k each or so to get from the bank( cos of network fluctuations) a small shop, table and chair(you can add extra measures for security reasons) and about 300k capital to start off with( probably have about 100k at a time in cash and be ready to go to the bank quite often to withdraw or deposit cash given to you to help pay into accounts by individuals) my sister charges 700 naira for every withdrawal above 10k and since its convenient for those in her area, she is the preferred option instead if going too far. There are about 4 pos points where she is and she still rakes in at least 10-15k daily..

Best target areas are car parks, markets(food or spare parts.... Especially spare part markets) or anywhere where there is no ATM close by.
