I want to seek for refund of my remaining money from my Landlord. I dont know if that is possible.

Pls elders, how do I go about requesting for a refund of my money that is remaining, Cos I want to relocate from that Noise. Am dieing slowly. Help. Thanks you all.

why not pay guys to steal the grinding machines, at least before they buy anoda one it will take dem some time of peaceful sleep for u and you keep paying guys to steal it till you move out. never surrender or run away from problems guy, every problem has a solution, no matter the solution.

This just reminded me of how much I hate life in the busy CBDs.You hardly get any rest/sleep with the constant screeching of tires,loud music in the nearby night clubs,inconsiderate idiots blasting music from the boot of the cars in the parking lot around 2 AM...it's just too hellish.

What are they grinding at 4am? Are they mad? Just make sure you talk to them not to open their business till at least 7am. Sorry for your experience. This is why I advice to visit a house you want to rent in the early morning, midday and at night before settling. To assess the area

Truth is that some folks start the day earlier than generally practised. Again the 4am daily business schedule may have been forced on the grinders by NEPA.

One year will soon be over, you are lucky mosque is far from you if not, you will feel it more

If your rent is one year, it will be over soon, meanwhile, start saving for another apartment

Even if you tell your landlord to give you a refund, he won't refund agent and agreement and the moment he refunds you, you have to pack out for the new tenant.

Now the question is, where will you pack to in the interim

go on jiji and advertise the apartment for rent put the remaining month you want to rent out and include in your writing that no agent involved that will attract people who want to rent very fast . collect your money for the remaining month and inform the landlord that your putting someone else in the apartment to take your balance because you got an employment in another state . run for your life bro .

2. If your agent fails call the attention of the property owner to it.

3. If the property owner fails to take action, ask for a refund.

I suggest you shop for ear plugs which you’ll wear nightly. You said the noise starts at 4am daily so you can plan ahead before hitting the hay. At 150,000 NGN the place is affordable enough for me to bear if noise is the only challenge one has to face. If the noise stops me from enjoying TV, however, I’m off without a second thought.

Seems like the best advice. Use ear plugs. Talk to the landlord about the noise. If they don't listen then find correct heavy duty bass stereo to pump up the volume on days you want to show them the stupidity of their ways.

That's the first thing I look out for when getting a new apartment. Any compound with more than 3 children is a no no for me. Any church or mosque around, ur name na sorry. I hate noisy environments

Just manage enjoy your one year and relocate. You can still contact the Lagos State ministry of environment and complain they might investigate and help you.
