Adetayoade1:It can happen though...CIC can be quite unpredictable. It’s a good thing he already ordered for the notes. It will give the underlying reason for the refusal. All we can do now is to wait. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 7:01pm On Feb 28, 2020 |
@Nuelgram sorry for the delay. Though it is very rare to get denied after medical request, but it has happened in the past(CIC guys can be unpredictable sometimes). As for the way forward, what reason did they give for the delay? I doubt if it will be meaningful but please try to know the exact reason behind it(you can only know that by ordering your gcms note ASAP). If at the end the reason isn't meaningful the. reapply using same document you used in your first application and it will be approved. I have seen 2 cases like this and they got it in their 2nd attempt. N:B When are you supposed to resume? If you don't have much time to apply and wait for your gcms note you can reapply for your TRV and hope you thick all the boxes. Good luck |

Blema111:Yes I am surprised, although the most experienced once here said it’s possible and that it has happened before. In my own view I think he shot himself on the foot. May be the VO has a few doubts in his purpose of visit. I said this because after looking at his well completed documents, I was asking myself a few questions too. -Someone who’s sponsor has 49m -Someone who has paid his full tuition fees -Someone who uploaded receipt or accommodation(which means s/he has even paid for house) -Someone who has paid LE(I don’t know how that was paid though) -Someone who is a director of a company(@ age 18) - Someone with an upfront medical( but why didn’t s/he upload the medical when applying? But why didn’t IRCC or CIC see his medical on their medical system? Is that possible? ) COULD ALL OR SOME OF THESE BE THE RED FLAG? We don’t even understand this VO’s. Well like @Mcobex just said that he knows a case or two like that and they got it on a 2nd attempt. Which also mean it could be a mistake. This is just me thinking aloud.... 2 Likes |

Adetayoade1:NO. Can’t be. Application has different departments I suppose.( I am not a VO) The question I want to ask if anyone here can enlighten me on is, does re-application goes or handled by the same VO that handle the previous? How do they allocate applications to VO’s ? |

Damilare68: Hi all, am new here after almost a decade! Hi @Damilare68, I am in a similar but slightly different situation. I have a fully funded PhD admission at Concordia too - deferred enrollment until Winter 2021 for work reasons. @ALL, I will be using this thread for my preparation ahead of study permit application much later in the year. Let's keep the communication line open. I hope to come back with specific questions later. Thanks all in advance. |
Please I need clarification on this: The "validity date" and "Must enter canada by" on my "Port of Entry Letter of Introduction" are the same. I am confused on these two dates. I will be grateful if someone kindly shed some light on two dates. Thank you. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Naijaforeigner: 2:40am On Feb 29, 2020 |

Zoeeee, You have nothing to worry about. It is like that for everyone. Must enter and validity date is always the same. The must enter and validity date simply tells you 2 things (1) That is the date your program will finish plus extra 3 months must have have been added by CIC (under normal circumstances). For example, If your program ends next year April, your must enter and validity date on your correspondence letter will most likely be July 2021 (April + 3 months). (2) Also, it tells you that you must enter Canada before that date and the visa on your passport is only valid till that date. Make sure you enter Canada before that date otherwise …. - If your passport is not expiring soon, Your must enter and validity date should also be same as the date on your counterfoil (on your passport). Welcome in advance to Canada. May the land favor you. 1 Like |

Nuelgram:Great, if you have someone that lives in Canada ask him/her to help you apply for your gcms note (it is faster that way), but if not then you have to apply for it yourself from Nigeria via a third party company (search on Google to get their names/sites) and it will take at least 30 days to get to you. Try to apply for it now (if you haven't already) so you can reapply for your TRV on time |

fratermathy: Hi, congrats on your funded PhD admission! Its same for me. I see @Damilare68 is also in similar position. That makes 3 of us at the same level and going to the same city. I think we should connect on here (and offline too) and learn from each other's experience. Thanks. 2 Likes 1 Share |

No one wants to answer me, because it seems not important. They sent me my bvl on the 17th of February and ultimately till ow I havent gotten any other letter. I am asking how long does it take to get a refusal letter if a bvl has been sent. Please if no one wants to answer me, I need Frank to answer me . I am getting depressed. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 8:10am On Feb 29, 2020 |
Davidwali360:No one answered cos they can't tell you the specific timeframe. You just have to wait it out, I know it's not easy but you don't really have a choice here. It is only the vo/CIC that can tell you when they will update your profile. But you can also send an email to CIC to get update on your app. NB: You have every right to ask CIC for update on your app, but people prefer not to take that route and ask here |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Davidwali360(m): 8:26am On Feb 29, 2020 |
But some others are getting a refusal 4 days after the bvl. Why is mine taking long? It's getting to 2 weeks now and how do I ask cic for update. I did it through maple education. I also paid a huge amount of money too. So sad. |
