What is it going to benefit us anyway. See what happened to Ironsi. What would we even achieve if an Igbo man becomes the president tomorrow? What did American blacks achieve when Obama became president ? Nothing. Zero. Zilch. As long as the majority elite hold the levers of power, we will continue to be Nigeria's lower priority with no real influence or say in the direction of this artificially created state called Nigeria. Handing over the presidency to an Igbo man does not mean acceptance of us as a people. Besides , in a functioning society, the president should be elected not based on race or tribe or religion but his/her ability, capability and qualifations. We all know that many of our current leaders are slaves to the northern elite and not servants to their own people.

What have we achieved with our Igbo governors and leaders who until now , have betrayed their own people and treated them horribly. Witholding their wages, refusing to repair and build new infrastructure, not creating employment and small business opportunities, kowtowing to the Islamic northern elite for gain, while relegating their own blood to a life of despair and despondency.

Let me tell you what many of us want. Self governance, even if it means we remain within the confines of this artificial state called Nigeria. We want our own ability to remove the scourge of corruption, illiteracy, backwardness and impoverishment in society. We have what it takes to rebuild our villages, towns and cities. We can restore the dignity our people we once had before the racist, corrupt and greedy English invaded our communities for slavery, colonialism and greed. We can bring back real justice, fairness and equity.

Igbos are intelligent, resourceful, innovative, creative and extremely hard working. We have the talent and youth to build a great nation worthy of admiration and emulation. This should be our priority, build our nations again as in the days of old and leave a legacy for our descendants forever.

Do you agree ?

Shut its ...presidency is our turn and our right ...if Igbo's are not getting it the north should keep it
Restructuring is our main demand yes why not ask Igbo's to forfeit our allocation because there is no restructured Nigeria

This your stupid trick would never work all Igbo's need to be president is
30% to 40% of north west ( with a north west vice its easy ) 40% to 50% of north east ...Christians their and PDP loyalist with big campaign we can do it

40% to 60% of north central ...with north central begging Igbo's for forgiveness this would be the time to collect our debt ...the Christian and PDP body its easy to achieve

20% to 40% of south west ...no matter what their are south wests people who are for equity and justice , PDP loyalist , and the large Igbo population in Lagos n Ogun we can get this

70% to 80% of south south ..this shouldn't be so difficult with PDP controlling bayelsa and maybe Edo by then it would be easy

95% of south east ...no story here

Presenting the Eboyi state governor or soludo as PDP candidate can guarantee this

My first choice is peter obi or morgalu but I feel one won't be roundly accepted and the other lacks the political know how

Stop deiciving yourself, even if we give Ibo free nomination form , they would fail woefully at the primaries in both PDP and APC, and the Northerners have already agreed to Southern / Northern rotation.. so stop fooling yourself.. even SouthSouth people have more political relevance in 2023 than you, with Wike , Ameachi , Oshiomhole all stake holders of their party, while Ibos still playing second fiddle in PDP, do you honestly think Wike, Ameachi , Oshiomhole, Akpabio and Udom are part of your imaginary SouthSouth/SouthEast Union to serve North in 2023?

Even when you supported a Northerner just to get Vice president slot you failed woefully, in 1993 with Bashir Tofa , and in 2003, 2007 with Buhari and 2019 with Atiku, Northerners have vowed never to vote anything with Ibo ticket after they killed Sarduna in cold blood, so 2023 nothing for you guys, if you guys aint cowards bring out your best man to contest

Try and comprehend what I said. We don’t want it even if there is a zonal arrangement to get an Igbo man elected in the future and for the reasons I just stated. We want to build a progressive , prosperous and socially cohesive society void of religious bigotry, illiteracy, corruption, governmental ineptness and primitivity.

Does this make sense to you ?

The OP should not disturb himself, there will never be a yoruba president before Igbo presidency if the North/south rotation must hold.

yorubas have never made themselves president. So they should not bother. They are toothless in present scheme of things.

Even the northerners here have not disputed it. grin

Abeg leave mrvitalis to continue, see him throwing figures upandan and when you ask him how he got them, you'd realize that he just conjured it all in his head.

He wants Biafra
He feels Igbos MUST have the presidency or it goes to the north so as to spite the SW, same mistake Zik and other Igbo leaders had been making,
He wants restructuring.

OP, I agree with some things you said but don't you think recalling your reps and senators from the NASS and states' houses of assemblies, vote in persons of character and not party, don't you think that that would the best for now?

Liar who is orji kalu before 1999. Southwest don't need southeast votes. 1993 ibos voted against Abiola yet he won with landslide. And for your information stop speaking for the people of south south. They warned you several occasions you dont heed to the warning shame. Edo people will never vote against Yoruba. Even itsekiri and urohbo will never do the same.
