Messi is like Buhari... His emergence made his people think finally but they no know Na wrong number...

If Messi is Buhari, Ronaldo is one of the other millions of sperm cells that escorted Buhari from his father's reproductive organ to where the mother's egg was fertilized.

You said Ronaldo scored SEVERAL important knockout goals... then you mentioned only one knockout goal.

So the goals against Hungary are not knockout goals?

The goal against Wales is not a knockout goal.

1 is greater than Zero in case you did not know.

While you're arguing from your mud hut in Cameroon, the real indigenes of Buenos Aires want to revoke Messi's Passport

Meanwhile in Portugal, Ororo's name is on an airport.

Messi is Gani Williams, Ororo is Martin Luther King Jnr.

Ronaldo scored several important knockout goals on the way to the final, including 2 equalisers against Hungary, and a semifinal goal against Wales.

He would surely have scored a hattrick against France if that fat thug from the banliues of Marseille did not assault him greviously on the pitch.

Ronaldo walked so that Eder could fly. His president is black and his lambo is green.

Messi meanwhile has not scored a knockout goal for his country in SEVEN competitions

That's why Portugal named an airport after their national hero, while the Real Argentines in Buenos Aires think Messi is a fake Togolese, like Adebayor
Now let us have a very quick look at Ronaldo's history with Portugal in important games.

Let's restrict ourselves to direct medal winning matches.

*Euro 2004 final; Ronaldo plays, Portugal loses.

*Confederations Cup Semi final 2018; Ronaldo plays Portugal loses.

*Euro 2016 final; Ronaldo misses Portugal wins the Gold Trophy.

*Confederations Cup 3rd place; Ronaldo misses Portugal wins the 3rd place Bronze Medal.

Ronaldo has got a good PR team but let's not believe the hype;

Ronaldo has not done anything extra ordinary for Portugal.

Portugal's biggest game in it's history was France at Euro 2016 and they beat France at home without him..

From available records, Portugal would have lost to France if Ronaldo stayed on that pitch beyond 20 minutes.

With his club career he's been great, big big props to him.

But as far as Portugal goes he s only a media creation, he's a F.R.A.U.D.
Fact!

The two goals against Hungary were not in the knockout stage, they were in the last match of the group stage. Score was 3-3.

And Messi scored in the semi finals against USA....

I don't have the time to argue with someone who can't get simple facts right...

You said Ronaldo scored SEVERAL important knockout goals... then you mentioned only one knockout goal. What happened to the others? Did they disappear like Ronaldo in finals for Portugal?

you said he would have scored hat-trick in the finals against France? Is it the same hat-trick he couldn't score against "almighty" Iceland?

And resorting to lies to argue your point is really desperate... How can you say Messi has not scored in knockout stages for Argentina. Have you forgotten the beautiful free kick against USA? Well, it's understandable, people try to forget traumatic experiences....

Regarding the airport, Nigeria named it's airport after Muritala Mohammed, he must be greater than Franklin Roosevelt...

Don't worry, Ronaldo can keep the airport name, Messi will keep the ballon d'or, golden boots and the GOAT status

Complete knockout.

Even irregular heroes have streets named after them. Bringing Ronaldo into the picture because of one Airport is absolutely out of place.

Even at Man Utd, and Real Madrid where he did his "exploits" saw him as just another random player carrying out his duties. To them, he really isn't one spectacular figure. Just a player to make up the numbers.

So Messi scored four knockout goals in the 2014 world cup?

So why did you say that Messi has not scored a knockout goal in seven competitions?

You are an olodo.

Did 2014 world cup have best loser qualification?

Did Portugal qualify for round of 16 as one of the top two teams in their group?

You're the worst of the Barkabots on this thread, and that's saying something.

Lol... You have made a blunder and now you're struggling to make sense of your earlier idiotiic statement.

Portugal played Hungary in the group stage but somehow Ronald's goals in that match were knockout goals....

You need to hire someone to think for you...

At this point you're trying to make me take responsibility for your lack of comprehension, and I refuse to do so.

Where have you heard of 3 teams qualifying from a group of 4 before?

The strength and difficulty in Messi's decision to stick with Barca for the last 15 years has been highly highly slept on.

Just imagine a player sticking with;

A.C. Milan from 2005 to 2020.
Manchester United from 2000 to 2020.
Arsenal from 2005 to 2020.
Chelsea from 2004 to 2020.
Real Madrid from 2000 to 2020.
Bayern from 1995 to 2020.

All of the above teams went from being the best in Europe to being useless at different times in the last 20 years.

Any player who has remained with one club must be idolized.
It is a million times more difficult to do this than to jump from club to club with hundreds of billions of pounds in their purses.

Players come, go and leave you behind.
Coaches come, go and leave you behind.
Board members come, go and leave you behind.

Messi must be glorified for remaining with Barca for 15 years, and not criticized for not jumping to Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

He's the highest paid player in the world, also your club pays him a lot under the table via "donations" to a nonfunctional Lionel Messi Foundation, earns 100% of his image rights, had his tax fraud written off by the club, he has more power than anyone in Barcelona at the moment. so much power that I remember when a board member criticised the idea of handing Lionel Messi a new contract when he had 4 years left on his present (at the time) contract only for that person to be fired the next day. Don't make it sound like he's making some huge sacrifice by staying with one of the most successful and richest club in the world where he's treated like he were a literal god. it's way easier to stay. also UEFAlona have never been "useless" at any time during Messi's peak, the only time they were useless was during Rijkaard's last two years and Messi was not this good then as he was under the shadow of Ronaldinho......

He went to Madrid - the capital of Spain, and chased out a bonafide club and national legend, and took his shirt, before proceeding to break every scoring record in Madrid and win world best. Its like a stranger came to your house and kicked you out into the street, and told your dad that he's the first son now...and then claims all your inheritance.
This is not true, if anything it was Benzema and Higuain that "chased" Raul out and that's being extremely charitable to the word "chase" Raul and Ronaldo weren't jostling for the same position on the field at all.

Why didn't Benzema or Higuain take Raul's shirt then?

The world's most expensive player with a brand called CR7 joins Madrid last year.

The very next year, the club captain and legend with the number 7 shirt leaves for Germany, despite having a lifetime contract with Madrid.

In that same 2010 summer, Ororo inherited the number 7 shirt. In October that same 2010, the very first Nike CR7 mercurial boot was launched.

If you think Nike designed, branded, developed a campaign and then globally launched a football boot in just 4 months, then I have a bridge to sell you in Lagos

You don't need to think to much to realise that Raul was given a soft landing, after being told that there was a new Sheriff in town.

Peak

That's my point.

Messi's peak helped keep Barca at the top.

The difference now is that when he lost his peak he did not run to another club which had in-form and good players; he remained and that's why I said he must be idolized for this.

Other players I know, once they are no longer at peak and their clubs are down, they run away.

Crap.. Barça has the finance to buy any player the want.. They will continue buying to please Messi.. It's left for him to win with the stars they bought... He knows most clubs won't give him that.
Ronaldo left almighty Madrid to Juve.. That's legendary

He had no choice.

What was he supposed to do in the case depicted below?

Ronaldo - "Yo Flo, check this out Boss, I need a pay rise like Messi and Neymar or I leave"

Flo Perez - "Look boy, you're 33 years old and you ain't no Messi. So you can go to Juve, fuccck off"

All the big clubs I named like AC Milan, Man U, Chelsea and Madrid all had the finances to buy big stars as well.

Ability to purchase big stars isn't what prevents club down times.

Down times must come to a club over a 15 to 20 year span.

The legends remain, the glory hunters move on.

Nahh after winning back to back to back UCLs, Ororo felt it was time for a new challenge.

He had won UCL and wpoty in England. He repeated the trick in Spain. Ororo has a lifetime contract with Nike worth a billion dollars and earns 1 million dollars per post on Insta.

Madrid money is flexing hoes money. He doesn't need a payrise to stay.

Ororo did what Messi will never do...leave his comfort zone and try to prove himself in a new environment. Can't say that I blame him either...see how well he did with Argentina cheesy

Messi's comfort zone is Argentina.

Argentina is in South America in case you missed it.

He left South America to Europe. He left his comfort zone to go to a different continent entirely.

Ronaldo has been in Europe all his life, failing to leave his comfort zone.

Of course Flo Perez gave him the rude awakening.

Nobody was going to pay that kind of salary to a 33 year old tap-in specialist.

That day he realised it but his ego was too big to beg and he thought about a certain serie a club that had won 7 straight titles.
