Thank you smiley

Even Mari has shared the recipe with me before. I’ll make it soon. Soon.......... grin

Can I make it with brown beans?

Brown beans is best for it, especially honey beans.
If don't have any problem with sugar, add a little amount to it. That's what sets it apart from ordinary cooked beans, coupled with the pepper sauce.
It's best eaten with soft bread or fried plantain.

Well, in other news!

I'll be expecting some visitors tomorrow and I'll love to prepare them a very delicious food, maybe Spaghetti or Abacha. But I'm kinda confused and don't know much about Ogiri

Please, what quantity of Ogiri will be good and perfect to add in the spaghetti?

Cc Mariangeles, Dyt, Nnemuka, Payperpost, Xsenga and Chisun89

Help out!
. I have no business with ogiri or crayfish, I'm a man only after paper , drink my beer , settle my bills at home and elsewhere, ask me about cars and I will relate . not women stuffs

How about Akawu ? Is it preferable?

Just need something that will localize the taste?

We substitute akanwu , with mmiri ngo (concentrated water from burnt palm kernel shells' ashes) for a healthier version.

Whereby it's not available, akanwu is used sparingly.

I'm a distilled man of honor who is popularly known for peace all over this forum.

Well, I'll let that slide because I wouldn't want to disappoint ladies here who are looking up to me and wishing their sons to be like me. smiley

About posting food, I don't eat normal food, but spiritual ones. That's what brought the idea of Ogiri and Spaghetti. cool

Yea, I know you consume abnormal food just post it like that. So many people derive pleasure viewing meals meant for Amadioha or Alusi okija.

I’m feeling this lunch.

If you use a pressure pot to cook your beans, it cooks in less than 20 minutes and doesn’t get sticky. That’s how I like beans for regular stew.

I keep planning to make ewa goin (hope I spelled that right) but liver dey cut me. Never tried it but it looks like something I’d love to eat.
Nice.
I still mostly prefer to cook beans with a regular pot. There is something about sticky beans that is so tasty
