We are still shocked in UNIPORT, so many discrepancies in this payment system. Those promoted and paid new salary in January under GIFMIS are now receiving old salary they got in December. Some on the same level and step getting different things. Is it IPPIS that will also send payslip?

Everybody should calm down

All mistakes is going to be rectified

This is not minimum wage. This is your normal salary
But some deduction were not included

So next month salary is going to come with all the deduction and minimum wage included

arrears is going to be paid next week starting from April last year

I heard it said that arrears will be paid on Monday.

But how reliable is the information?

We will wait and see on Monday(or better still next week).

*Breach of Trust*
The payment of salary through IPPIS has exposed the OAGF inner mind and the working of government. I still don't believe that within three months all our discussions, corrections, adjustments and demonstrations made to perfect the platform provided by government through Infinity Consultant could be thrown to the waste papers basket.
If i say I'm sad it's just an understatement because the template demonstrated captured all peculiarities in the University, so I'm baffled to see another wonder from the government.
We agreed that the salaries will be prepared by the Bursary of each University because the inputs will be collated by the Bursary but the February salary paid didn't emanate from the Universities. Bursary only submitted the nominal roll and payroll in January, 2020 to the IPPIS Office, unfortunately, OAGF could not pay the salary through IPPIS in January 2020, therefore, there was need for these people to request for February, 2020 payroll or at worst send the computed figures back to the Bursary of each University for variation report where any error would have been discovered and corrected but this was not done.
It's very disheartening that all normal deductions like Cooperative, loans, Check Off,etc were left out contrary to the template agreed on.
Though, I've not seen the breakdown of the salary paid but we don't need a soothsayer to know that a bad job was done.
The only two issues discussed that will affect the salaries are tax and pension deductions.
On tax it was agreed that Universities could approach the State Internal Revenue Board for MOU with each each State while the pension deduction will be as stated by relevant law, that is,7.5% on Gross Salary.
Also, the IPPIS Director stated the Salary Table will be provided by NSIWC,though, a representative of NSIWC was in attendance and it was argued that no circulars were released to the Universities through the NUC on any agreements but it was shown that all allowances were captured in our Agreement, therefore, issue of circular or no circular should be resolved by NUC who should send it to the Universities.
All along I has been in close contact with IPPIS Director just to ensure that all was well.
The payment has caused serious problem in the Universities and many members have been destabilised.
At this point, JAC of NASU and SSANU will step in immediately if it means sleeping in OAGF we will gladly carry our mats along.
Also,a letter will be sent to Accountant General of Federation from JAC the moment the payslip is made available.

DNP SSANU.

*On IPPIS, February Salary*

Good Morning Members!

It has come to the notice of the Union (SSANU) that the February, 2020 salary to the University Staff which was released very late was inexplicable and contradictory. The payment which was made through the IPPIS platform had negated the actual agreement the non-teaching staff reached with the Government in August and September, 2019. It could be recalled that the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of non-teaching staff unions were given assurance that all University peculiarities would be captured in the IPPIS platform but to our utmost surprise, what we received yesterday, as salary was embarrassing and frightening.

It is against this background that, I write to sympathize with our members over this unwarranted development and to further inform you that, the Union at branch level, along with many other branches of SSANU across the country had since yesterday forwarded their grievances to the National Body requesting for urgent action and intervention that would force the Government to correct this obnoxious mode of salary payment.

Meanwhile, I on behalf of all executive members, hereby implore our members to please bear with us while we await for the expected further action from the Joint Action Committee of Non- Teaching Staff as the issue is beyond the jurisdiction of Branch. We also use this opportunity to thank our members who have been communicating their good advice on the best ways the Union will handle the issue.

Once again, we reiterate our unbounded commitment towards solving this problem and the progress of SSANU in general.

*Comrade Haruna Aliyu
Chair SSANU (BUK)*

Non academic unions are lily livered. ASUU will have declared strike on the eve of the day after salary was paid.

FG defaulted on the agreements you people had and you're still there writing long speech. The only thing FG hear is strike. Nothing else. Imagine the audacity of agreeing with you and doing otherwise. It means that even FG believe that Non academic unions won't do shit

It appears JAC executives are compromised otherwise they should have commenced the process of declaring strike by now and not planning to "go and sleep in OAGF/IPPIS office".

As far I'm concerned, this is medicine after death. ASUU warned but they refused to listen.

I can vividly remember some SSANU and NaSU members in my university rejoiced at Ippis. They said that it will stop the unnecessary withdrawals from their salaries. Yesterday I took turns to call them, however non of them answered my calls. nAsu should stop the unnecessary rivalry with ASUU and work with ASUU for the welfare of the university community. The outcome of this charade will be ASUU will be paid by UTAS domesticated in the universities while nasu will carry mat to Abuja every month to cry. I’m proud of ASUU although we have not been paid.

Since you said you prefer IPPIS no P, but let me give you an hint...

You see those allowances they deducted... It may remain so considering what happened to other MDAs.

The FG has a ruthless streak of not giving a damn.

Lol. Are allowances deducted?
Allowances are supposed to be added to one's salary not deducted

Going by the COEASU letter, some of their allowances weren't captured...

The payslip will really show what went wrong..
Re: Has Any Federal Civil Servant Received The New Minimum Wage? by Yohh: 3:54pm On Mar 15, 2020
I don't understand why some so much object this IPPIS.
I work in a tertiary hospital and under IPPIS and salaries are effectively being paid allowances inclusive. Those against this mode of payment must have ulterior motives and are just going around sowing seeds of hatred in others.
Mind u, the system in universities isn't completely different from what obtains in teaching hospitals. Some hospital non-permanent staff are still under Gifmis and are paid by the hospitals after monthly subventions enter hospital account.
The fact that u experienced some irregularities on first payment doesn't mean it'll remain same forever, it'll be rectified and perfected.
No system is perfect anyway.

But we have not received payslips. Will FG send pay slip? Otherwise, we don't know what is the issue. Meanwhile, are universities entitle to Minimum wage increment? If yes, what's the problem that our minimum wages were paid along side with salaries? Could it be because we are first timer on IPPIS? How about the areas payment, if we are entitle to Minimum wage increment? When would they pay the arears?

Someone help answer these question. I am really confused since I saw my alert yesterday.
I am from federal university. University of Jos particularly.
