The only reason why Africa, specifically West and Central Africa haven't been hit so hard by the corona virus is because of 2 reasons....niether has anything to do with the actual capacity to deal with a pandemic like covid19.

2. Nigeria doesn't receive nearly the amount of international visitors as for example SA hence the chances of international visitors bringing the virus into the country is much less

It rather takes 14 days or less upon first contact before the virus shows symptoms.
Sometimes, the virus doesn't even show symptoms.
