Lol I'm confirmed Yoruba girl although people do say i look igbo grin,i'm surprised most people dnt know ojojo i actually thought it's popular
Yeah i agree it's depends on location bt i thought most people living in Lagos should know about it bt it seems only yorubas know about ojojo shocked
Akara is more popular it seems, probably most people think Ojojo is harder to make. Btw is it only that isu ewura one can use to make it, I don't see people using the normal white yam.

Nice one. Never been able to tolerate gbegiri. Maybe because I don’t do beans and its byproducts.

Not much a fan either but if I have to eat black Amala which I rarely do, I take it with Gbegiri and Ewedu most of the time. Try to restrict solid foods to weekends only.

I was told to eat 3 for breakfast with Broccoli and two slices of bread but never tried three. Each time I eat my Broccoli salad, I do like two eggs.

Sister you be confirm Yoruba girl, you just dey mention everything, the ojojo turned out good though, it's funny how most people don't know it, cos I feel it's common just like akara too, it may depend on location though, you did well.

Funny enough, I have heard ojojo but never tasted it and never knew they sell it the way they sell akara. Like you said, it may be location soecific.

lol, not only Yorubas, I am sure it is popular in some parts of Ebonyi and abia states because of the availability of that particular yam.

This one that it's making everybody flashed back to childhood grin grin I can actually relate bt sometimes i take out time to cook food i make rarely
@munzy ojojo ought not to taste like akara because it has its special taste which is hard to describe.
@dorodaves yes you got the spelling right! Anytime you planning to make it you can always get recipe from me.
cheesy Maybe because it's my first time then, but the vibe I got was that of akara o... with enough pepper, onion and only God knows anyother thing she added.

Please share recipe and step by step process so bae can pick up and surprise me....grin I know she will definitely come across it whenever she is here.

I think ojojo originated from the Ijebus. Not everyone will bother to go through the process of making it because the yam is available.
You have to grate the yam into a paste, then add your ingredients and start frying
It's been decades I had it, but I know the taste.
