Stay at home is just one component of the strategy of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. No country can shutdown for too long. The whole economy will start collapsing.

So for shutdown to work effectively, it must be joined with rigourous testing, quarantine/ isolation, treatment of infected persons. Our capacities to test, quarantine and treat are all now grossly insufficient. All levels of government had better buckle up!

Shutdown alone won't do any miracle.

Good one, if I may ask, what will the parents and their children eat while at home? Other countries are making provision for isolating their citizens from work, for that to be effective, the government have to provide for it's citizens. Your Story is our priority. Inter-regional transportation should be stopped now.

The SW and North should be on lock down. Else they'll spread it to other regions.

My colleague dropped off her baby at the creche this morning and came to work. She was called by the creche manager to come pick up her baby because they were about to be shut down by healthcare task force. Where is she to leave her baby? Is she supposed to bring him to work with every thing going on in Lagos?

The most fundamental function of a government is to keep its people safe. It is from this that it derives its authority, the confidence of the people and its legitimacy.

Nobody should be under the illusion that this is something that can be dodged through somehow manipulating a virus that we are only beginning to understand. This will not pass you by; this is not a tornado, it is a hurricane.

Loool... people calling for lockdown must be living in fruit town! How can we store foods for more than 48 hours when our electricity is in comatose?
