The traditional leaders will also need to step in to help control their areas. Put out notices for lockdowns, even like in the old town crier fashion. They also need to figure out funding for the local peoples' food necessities, and work with the local and federal governments on this. This is where the traditional leaders are needed, they serve in some capacities as respected mayors |

Sleevia: I really want the local traditional leaders to step in an figure something out for their local communities. It's definitely going to be harder in Lagos, but can surely help in other parts. Like, the Feds can provide money to the states, who will subsidize the local farmers to continue production through this and facilitate transport to different LGAs where the heads and trad rulers will facilitate distribution |

Aisha you must be demented and indeed insane to suggest a total lock down simply because you and your walking dead husband have enough to eat. Do you know what you are asking for in a country where people survive on what they can gather daily? Just leave us like that let faith take it course, as there have been more deaths recorded over the the years but since it did not affect the rich no one made a single noise. 7 Likes 1 Share |

How do you recommend a total lockdown in a country where most folks couldn’t afford to eat twice when there wasn’t any lockdown? Now is the time for Nigerian leaders to distribute some of those free campaign rice to the citizens. Nothing else makes sense 3 Likes |

Dominatrix:thank you sis. Do you know how many employers would lay their staff off temporarily if we all go on lockdown. Even Trump closed his Maraj (whatever) and fired all the staffs there. He is even seeking the US government intervention to to salvage the business and help the former employees 1 Like |

A government that has failed cannot seek total lockdown except they want the masses to die of hunger while isolating from a disease. Where is the provision and measures put in place for someone who depends on trading and self services To survive in the harsh economy where only the politicians enjoys the whole benefits. Countries are granting their citizens funds to survive yet we don’t even have a record not to talk of measures! 2 Likes |

You people do not really understand how the presidency works in Nigeria. How many good politicians have you people thought that he will govern well when he becomes the president but when he got to the Rock House he fails woefully? The reason behind their failures is nothing but the cabals, powers that are made to be. A president in Nigeria is like a masquerade that people package and present him to the society as a deity that must be obeyed. A Nigeria President can also be compared to a toothless backing dog or a figure headed leader. The powers behind the president control him and tell him what to do like a robot. If he wants to prove difficult, they will make things difficult for him too. alsudan: 1 Like |

valentineuwakwe:Now I am so disappointed in this woman. You suggest total lockdown, what measures has you husband put in place to ensure that the people who voted him to power will not die of hunger before even corona hits them? It just shows how far away you are from the reality of suffering in the country. I don't have a figure but I know that we have so many families that will not survive after 3days if we shut down completely because they feed from what they make daily. 3 Likes |

Since the virus is here already,we can lock down unaffected areas from affected area, like geopolitical zones locking down, states locking down or senatorial district locking down and local governments, that's one of the drawbacks of large social integration, geopolitical regions, states, senatorial districts or Local governments should be self sufficient in basic needs especially food and electricity. |
