Another analysis.

Now I get RN7 users that have been using their phones for close to a year saying an update is responsible for poor battery life. Capital No.

Battery depreciation is. I don't expect my RN5 to be giving 13hours SOT like the time I got it because depreciation has occurred.

Cut your phones and update some slack.

Before you accuse the phone your network is extremely terrible.

Bad network equates to bad battery life because the phone will push power to your antennas hence battery drain.

Visit the compilation thread for tips on battery management. Once again change your browsing network and make sure both Sims are not on 4G at the same time.

Another thing Disable WiFi and Bluetooth scanning. If you had visited the Xiaomi Compilation thread you will know this.
Thanks man

Morning guys and happy new month to us all

Please I want a couple of opinions on some phones. Have already compared them on GSM arena n seen their pros and cons but I need more experienced guys to weigh in on this for me.

Please, Xiaomi Mi 9t Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9, which is better? Considering long lasting performance, updates etc.

Na so... It has to be 128 or more. Nothing less.

They will both get updates for a long time. Their cameras are good I can't say which edges it out (I'll leave it to those who have used the devices). Battery life is certainly the Mi9T pro The Mi 9 is not entirely bad. If you want pop-up camera, go for the Mi9T you want the dew drop notch go for the Mi9. They are both inexpensive now...

Are you saying that those RN8 users calming of Update reducing their battery life are joking. My battery life has never remained the same the moment I updated to miui 11 from 10; ask any RN8 user.

This your analysis is extremely wrong. The network is responsible and it is evident from the network bar. A good network will have greens all through.

You guys should stop update is the cause of battery drain, no be Transsion we dey use. I have been updating for close to 2 years hardly any issue. When I see abnormal battery life, update is the last thing I think of.
Lolx, this MIUI 11 updates come with quite a number of bugs and sometimes bugs randomly tamper/affect a lot of apps and features even the SECURITY app. I love my device but everyone knows that after the upgrade from MIUI 10 to 11 a lot of Xiaomi's devices did not remain the same. Attached is a screenshot of me searching for solution to a problem I faced after updating my device, I had to reset my phone before the issue was resolved. Till date the schedule on/off feature of my phone doesn't work due to the MIUI update ( I can SCHEDULE OFF but can't SCHEDULE ON) and I use the feature a lot but I learnt to move on. I love my device and I hope to use more Xiaomi phones in the future, but the last thing I will do is to sugar coat the truth.
Have a lovely day boss.

Now you are refusing to deflate and accept that you gave a wrong advice when the evidence in this case was glaring.

That you faced that particular problem don't mean all Redmi 7 users have same. When the Android 9 update came some people on RN5 had two percent battery drop instead of one but it has long been fixed some fixed theirs by Reinstalling full ROM others waited for other updates.

As for your problem I remember someone telling you to download and reflash ROM Manually have you done that?

There is no such thing as a perfect ROM even those flashing custom ROMs will tell you that.

Nah not the update, the network is! The network graph has 'coat of many colors'. That sim is not what you should be using in that location of yours. Do as genius43 said.
Yes his problem might be due to the beautiful colours of his network signal chat... But you and I know MIUI 11 is full of bugs, I follow an Indian Xiaomi telegram channel and they are lamenting the same thing.
Do have a great day boss.

both are good in their own way,
You wouldn't regret getting ether of them, though i heard that camera performance of mi 9 is better than mi 9t pro though its subjective, the battery performances are better on mi 9t pro but the difference is not much,
As per pricing,i saw a reduced price of mi 9 6/64gb somewhere

I've not used less than 128gb for about three phone cycles now but i think I'll be okay with a good deal for a 64gb device... As soon as i get my tab that is

No need to argue with you. As you have mentioned India. Like India and global Version use the same ROM.

Indians that will complain of anything. An Indian that want to still have 10 hours SOT on his two year old battery.

Take Indians too seriously at your own peril.

MIUI 11 is not full of Bugs at least that is the ROM I am using.

Have you taken a survey of the percentage of Redmi 7 users having your exact problem.

Learn to stop putting the cart before the horse.

To be honest I didn't see his network signal chat before I posted grin... I admit being wrong on his case but truth be told MIUI 11 is tarnishing the amazing battery life we all had with the MIUI 10.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
