They are annoyingly childish!

And primitive.

I'm yet to find a group of individuals on Nairaland who have dedicated time to solving some problems associated with this Coronavirus.

All Nigerians do is talk, talk and talk.

It is annoying.

But for the sake of self-respect and honour, wouldn't it have been proper to channel the plea to the right authority? If truly we need such, the US gov't through the USAID could do that.

Of course, I totally agree with what you're saying. Nigeria has become a joke. And to think these same people were about to use $500 million to upgrade NTA news network, while they don't have standard hospitals in ASO rock. This virus will really teach us so many things man.

Buhari and his bunch of incompetent misfits will never stop exposing their foolishness, incompetence, myopicness andnpoor leadership quality at any given opportunity, always embarrassing this country in the comity of Nations.

Just look at the joke of a Nation. Buhari and his gang looted #12.5B allocated to Aso Rock clinic ever since he took charge yet they couldn't even buy a single ventilator, only to shamelessly go and carry one from Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital to Aso Rock, what a shame.

This is not to even mention all the budgetry allocation to health, yet they have bee fooling themselves with propaganda.

Imagine begging Ellon Musk for ventilators, shame.
And to think that Innoson offered to produce, why not look for a way to partner with Innoson in this challenging moment for the country, no , they prefer international begging.

The most annoying part of the whole mess is their online miscreants and e-diots coming to disturb the peace of the media space spewing all sorts of foolishness.

Anyways Iman of Peace rightly said " A stupid president is elected by stupid people".

Shame on all those that elected this disaster of a President.

How sophisticated people elected a certificateless dullard to rule a complex Nation like Nigeria remains the eight wonder of the world.

Rubbish.

USA has received support and still asking for external support. Same with Italy and many other countries.

Many of you guys lack basic knowledge of how things even work.
Did they solicit for help under an individual Twitter page?. What stops our nation from making an official request to relevant persons involved?. You are the one that lack basic comprehension.

A full-option ventilator cost around $20,000. 100 units will cost around $2m. Using an exchange rate of N400/$, that's around N800m.

From the figures of donations by corporate bodies and private individuals, the FG should've received in excess of N20b. Please note that the NNPC together with its JV partners donated $30m (N12b).

Such a joke of a country!
u've said it all.. nothing to say again.

If this news is not fake.
But i read that the accountant health minister said that they don't need more ventilators, and the ones available have not been exhausted yet, and they could be taken to any part of the country when they are need. And from is interview, only one ventilator have been used so far in this pandemic.

This must be fake news to paint the government in black n' black.
Don't be stupid. The minister of health is a German trained medical doctor. A surgeon to be precise

Smh. This is really embarassing. Sad coming from a rich Nation like ours!

Like someone made the calculations here, a billion naira from the donations will solve this problem.

Same govt told us that our cases may not require plenty ventilators or so, only for them to come out to beg! Smh.

This is a sign that the monies donated are already flying to private pockets.

Another reminder of how hard it is to be a Nigerian.

Any evidence?

By the way, did USA not receive medical aid from Russia?

If you can't differentiate between what is recorded and what is not, then I'm afraid you will also mistake Nollywood movies as Live broadcast.

The United States government didn't sit and wait for countries to donate relieve materials to them while their lawmakers buy cars.

Guys, let's not criticize for the sake of it. Ventilators are very scarce around the world now, and even with your money, you might not find to buy.

Yes, we can castigate the Nigerian government for not making healthcare a priority over the years but under the current circumstances, every government is trying its best to lay its hand on as many ventilators as it can. Trump had only a few days reached out to Putin and received a number of Ventilators from Russia as well.

This is not the time to be proud, we need all the help we can get at this time.

Brotherly help me add these up:

1. Few days ago the ministry of health said that we have a low need for respirators. That the ones we have are not being used. And only one patient has required it so far.

2. Elon Musk said he wants to give this to places that currently have a high need.

3. The ministry of finance said we need 100-500.

Which of the ministries is wrong?

What's even more evidential was that the president spoke about activities from that day.
