so how come many experienced workers with good jobs are not wealthy.

as for Mr Olakunle Alake he is the COO of dangote cements and entitled to shares, that is a different case from thousands of experienced workers who wouldnt even reach top management level.

They are not financially literate. Alake is not the COO of Dangote CEO. Most of the workers in the Oil and Gas are not financially literate.

Makoju was the CEO that just retired, the coo is a white guy.

Alake works with the parents company that is Dangote Industries Limited. The owner of Dangote cement, Dangote Refinery, Dangote sugar, NASCON makers of Dangote salt.

Dangote will not allocate shares to them, he can give them loans to them to buy shares, the workers can also buy additional shares through their stockbrokers

God please touch the heart of someone in this forum that happens to be a top staff in one of these establishments to ask me to send my CV.
I really need a job as soon as the lock down is over, lots of responsibilities here and there.

Trust me...top staff of these companies will be very difficult to find on this forum.

This is a public site. And believe me, I don’t know for any of the other companies on the list. But I know Total and it is accurate (in fact almost exactly accurate).
And as for proof, only proof that’s 100% is an offer letter Or a payslip. And why would anyone put that on a public site to settle an internet agreement. It sounds unbelievable but it really is.

you argue with facts and proof not hear say, nobody will tell you what they earn.

NNPC is not in Top 12 highest paying oil companies In Nigeria at non-management level.

Omoh. That applies to official remuneration only o. Unofficially that cookie jar gives and keeps giving. There are junior staff in NNPC that will never pray to be promoted.

Go to Atlas cove and see what junior staff operating our pipeline terminals are doing. You'll be forced to question your own luck in life

This time it is NOT because oil will dry up, it is because the world is doing all to be less dependent on oil.... Remember the time Oil used to be 140$ per barrel, and how much is it as of today?

I am referring to the hard copy of the 2018 annual report, some of this online report are faulty.

His position at Dangote Industries Limited which is the parent company is higher than that of the COO or CEO of Dangote cement.

But Dangote made Alake a non executive director of all his subsidiary companies

That's his business and not anyone else. What are his qualifications? Was he a permanent or contract staff at Total? BTW, how is the information wrong? So because your friend who no one knows his profile is doing seemingly below the standard of an ex Total "employee", then people should not believe a fact stated by a website owned by an actual employee in the industry whose qualifications can be seen and verified.
My friend has a masters in electronic engineering from a university in the uk. He is very well qualified.although he tells me he is looking for a better job, but the point is why will he leave his job as a total staff , if the pay is as lucrative as its counterpart in USA.
Note.... he left for greener pastures.

I did not state that my friend earns 133K. Rather, I stated that the amount was what I read on the NL's thread.

Op your just quoting figures, most figures you put up there are totally wrong, though you will be made to understand you can earn such figure, but truth is eventually it will be far below the figure and you can't do anything about it.

Though if you know your way you can easily make double of that figure annually especially if you work with JVC team

We have been there and decided to pull out.

Talking as an insider.

That is what you should be asking him 'cos it seems he did not tell you the truth. To further illustrate why it sounds odd that he left Total to become an Uber driver in the US, the current CEO of Total Exploration Nigeria has been there since he finished his NYSC in the late '80s. Why would he leave Nigeria's highest paying IOC when nowhere is likely to pay him his remuneration he gets at Total?
