Good evening sisters, it's been a while. I trust you've been coping well with this COVID 19 lockdown everywhere. May God save us. Pls I want to make enquiry if there's anyone who has used Pakistani doctor(Raheem Hospital @Surulere). I heard they have this equipment that can diagnose whatever that is causing infertility medically. Is this true? |

We had sex back to back last month.I just saw my period today. I feel very terrible and sad. I have been crying my eyes out. I can't even go to the hospital now because of Covid-19. I am down |

Pojomojo: It is well. God will surely do yours. Just relax and believe God for the baby you desire and possibly take this time to have fun with yourselves and improve on your bond. Also work on your next ovulation and calculate the sex well. Make him abstain 3 days (maybe from day 9 to 11 if your ovulation is around day 14) and do every other day around that period. NB: I'm not a medical professional ooo. 2 Likes |

Pojomojo:It is well mama. This too shall pass. I get consolation from reading the success stories of mamas who were once in our shoes. My elder sister also tried for a while before my niece came. Whenever I'm depressed, I just go through the videos of my niece on my phone. I'm 100% sure that we shall carry our babies. Please mama, don't get tired. Just keep on trying. 4 Likes |

I want to imploy GTC n TTC women to always chart their monthly cycle.it goes a long way. There are apps that makes it easy like flo,Glow, ovia fertility n the rest.It offers the option to record moods, cervical fluid data, sexual activity and any other personal notes everyday at least if we can do that religiously for 3 to 4 months so we can have an idea n also be able to explain to our doctors guilding him with the charts to prescribe medications n appropriate test that needs to be done. This chart helps to know our body system.when we chart we will have an idea whether the app goes in line with our body system, whether we should trust it in making that big decision in baby dancing or not. For instance,if ur App predict ovulation day to be day 14 but u charted u saw cervical fuild day 12 so that means there's need for reconciliation. In essence, don't chart only ur mensural period, also include changes in your body, ur moods, cervical discharge, sex n all, so that at the end of the cycle u will be able to tell what n what u missed. I hope this helps someone 6 Likes |

Good day mamas. It's my first time here, I'm a TTC. Please pardon my long post and read till the end. I'm here because my mind is playing tricks on me. So I got married last year. I and hubby decided to wait to put things in place before making babies (our mistake, if only I knew I will be eager to be pregnant now). Hubby was using withdrawal method to avoid pregnancy (he's an expert) and it worked. I remember vividly some months last year 2019, I could feel my ovulation discharge so well but my naive self needed to stabilize in my job before bringing babies. Fast forward November 2019 we got ready to conceive till now we have been hitting on my fertile days and nothing has happened o. I'm so scared because I'm being both anxious on my most fertile days. I have the flo app and another app that helps me keep track of my fertile days. Infact hubby downloaded the flo app first and he's keeping track too. I have a regular period and feel ovulation pain. My health history At some point in 2016 I had ovarian cyst that lasted for one year before it disappeared. It caused me so much pain during menstrual periods that I vomitted and had high fever all through the 5 days of period. I took felvin all the time to ease the pain. I just got to know that felvin causes anovulation. Again, Since this January I started having severe menstrual cramps that stops my daily activities. It hurts so bad that I end up in the hospital to get some pain relieve injections (Pentazocine). This is actually where my fear grew. I never experienced such pain. I took clomid in December but ignorantly waited for ovulation day in January to copulate with hubby and we missed it. February I treated PID with hubby because doctor suspects it might be the cause of my severe menstrual cramps. Out of anxiety I frequent hospitals for scans (abdomino-pelvic) 3 times a month cause I had movements in my stomach and every thing came out fine. In March I track my ovulation through Transvaginal scan and saw the follicle that would release egg. We tried and my period still came out I felt sad. Has anyone been in my shoes? I read people say remove your mind and have sex but honestly having sex now feels like chores because we are focused on something. Worst still, hubby's sperm doesn't come out all the time we make love. If we make love twice a day he will only come once and will have to force himself to come the next round which will still not happen(maybe psychological). Can anyone offer me advice or encouragement. I really don't want to get to a point where I will feel depressed. I'm currently in my 2 weeks wait. Fertile period ended today. Please wish me luck. Thanks for reading and also for your patience. 3 Likes |

Pojomojo:You need to calm down and take your time with your treatment. PCOS isn't something treated a day or month but people have succeeded with their treatment with time. You can read about iomoge. She didn't even know when the second baby entered as she wasn't really trying then. My advice is for you to follow up with your treatment, find a good specialist and not just a regular doctor. Also adjust on their diet for pcos with less carbs and more vegs. Problem known they say is problem half solved. Wipe your tears, and enjoy your time with dh while taking your treatment and you won't know when it happens. If crying or being down can solve infertility, I bet ttc would have been gone a long time ago. Being down can only disrupt your system more so you need to cheer up. Seeing af is itself a miracle and a chance for you to try again. Some people has been begging to see it for months without luck. Some even induce to see af so as to be able to try for the month. So dear, in every condition you see yourself give thanks to God and keep going. Yours isn't the toughest. Once there is life, there is hope. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Mirian91:I think you're stressing so much about baby making and that might be your only delay. From what you wrote, I'll advise you both test for infection, and treat together if any. Infection is not something one has to take likely or suspect and treat without testing to know the best antibiotics. This can only make it worse. So pls get tested for infection and also let your dh run seminal fluid analysis at same time. Also note that repeating intercourse twice a day does not encourage conception and might even delay since there might not be enough matured spermatozoa in the fluid. It is recommended to bd every other day or at least 3 times a week. This will give room for relaxation and more matured sperm to be readily available. I know it's not easy to say relax, but then it's actually necessary to relax. You may find something that can distract you often. Charting your cycle is already a good thing but don't limit your sexual life to ovulation period. It should just serve as a reminder to you. You may find it may affect your dh emotionally sometimes and the little man will not perform. I've been there, that I even have to start hiding my fertile days from dh. He'll only get to know when it's past and asked if we did the do, and I'll say yes. There's no hard and fast rule, but don't get yourself worked up and don't play with fertility drugs that your body doesn't need. Always work with a specialist of you feel there's sth wrong and be sure tests are carried out. Fertility blessings as we await your testimony soon. 4 Likes |

Mirian91:I addition to any other treatment or tests you and dh might need to do, I think you should bd more often. Doctors usually advice "every other day". This is excluding the days of AF. That's immediately after AF, start bd-ing. If maybe AF ended on the CD 6, you should bd on 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20,... You don't need to have intercourse only during fertile period. It is not easy but you have to try. Baby dust to you ma. 2 Likes |

Flourishing19:That's one of the reasons it's not good to have a calendar. Sex should be enjoyed not counted. Try to find sth that can put you both in the mood. Sometimes talking about past experiences can trigger the urge esp for men. It is well with you. |
