Look at this slowpoke grin so cowardly you can’t even mention the idiot;.... HALFWIT undecided
I pray the culprits are caught and court marshaled.
Insulting me or anybody here Sir, is not an achievement, I have been insulted by even a mad person before so there is nothing unique about you insulting me. The only unique thing you can do for us here today is to stop wasting our time and tell us in very specific detail and with timeline on how the Nigerian armed forces that you are insulting us about, intend to:
1. Stop insurgency in the NE.
2. Rebuild the NE from years worth of battle damages.
3. Guaranty the safety and future of Nigerians living in the North East.
4. Equip and train members of the Nigerian armed forces to reflect the threat dynamics of the modern battle fields.
5. Reduce the participation of the Nigerian defense forces in local security and law enforcement operations to 5% or less.

If you cannot do any of these allow well meaning Nigerians to continue to communicate their fears.

I don't like using vitriolic rhetoric and acidic abusive diction to get my point across. But l am tempted here. In order to describe this incomprehensible bewildering crass ineptitude.

You want to make a change? Shut down the country, Labor Union goes on strike, Students walk off campus, Police join in on the protest, and the list goes on and on, that's the only way these A-holes will listen to ya, not ranting on nairaland, that won't do sheet, learn how making a change on a national level works, won't happen thru this platform, it needs visibility, not some anonymous warrior talking trash online.
Wanna change Nigeria? You need a huuuuge following/platform, you need to galvanize the people, question is, how far would you go before you get your ass locked up lol.
Good luck with that.

Very true. I mean see the success achieved by the Tchadians in less than a week after they were hit hard by those bastards and they feed you with video and picture proof.
The Nigerian side on the other hand is used to giving complaints and excuses and yet records losses over and over like a broken record and yet 10 years after with lots of our vibrant, gallant young men&women KIA plus billions of dollars spent on this yahoo war, there's nothing tangible to show for it.

Tchad did what Nigeria does normally nothing special. You don't here about it because its not newsworthy or fits the narrative. Bad news is more sensational than good news especially when it comes to Nigeria. cool

Hmmm. Have you looked at Algeria? They have more Russian and Soviet weaponry than you or I have ever heard of, from the T-90 to Kilo submarines. I am not hearing about any sanctions against them. And the Americans you are talking about recently purchased Russian helicopters for the Afghanistan government.

Even if Russian arms are denied us, Italy, Britain, Switzerland, Finland, Turkey, South Africa, Sudan and so many other countries also sell arms. Is the US going to sanction us for buying arms from Italy?

YES, yes they will and you have to be a gullible slowpoke not to know sogrin and none of those countries listed are allies to Nigeria or the aboriginal people of Africa in General

This is the problem. Veterans of the US wars get insulted times without number on such military forums, even men that have lost limbs to the war still get told that they fought a useless war and they still take it in good spirit. You have already started telling us its not a faceless forum and you can come and beat us.

The question you should ask yourself is, is beating innocent people your main aim as an officer? We have had of heroes that fought gallantly to secure villages, protect families and make the world better at war times. This one is threatening innocent people at peace time.

As far as I know, majority if the weapons that has been delivered to Nigeria are either from Russia, belarus, ukraine, Czech, or China.
We've paid for some other weapons that the countries are finding it hard to deliver...... JF17
Now that most people have agreed that the US doesn't seem to want us to get weapons and that we can get from other powerful countries like china and russia like we've done with the drones MRAPs and helicopters. If US is serious about weapons not reaching us, it won't reach us. At least those weapons won't just appear in Nigeria.
I recently mentioned a case that some of us here know about pakistan wanting to deliver weapons to nigeria, and the C130 was intercepted in saudi airspace and forced to land in a saudi airport. The cargo was siezed and nothing has been said about it till today. I have been searching all over the net for news about it to no avail and would appreciate if anyone can provide a link.
That being said, I agree that our political class are corrupt and inept and even without foreign weapons, we should have fully defeated bokoharam a long time ago though it will be tough and cost a lot of lives.

Westerners ARE NOT & NEVER will be our friends. The sooner Nigerians accept this the better off will be. grin

Seriously though, I think being called a terrorist supporter on this thread is a goal any right-thinking person can aspire to. If the likes of SamuelAnyanwu who gets to put his life on the line daily, knowing he faces death and public execution at every turn could get called a terrorist sympathizer just for pointing out the failings of the NA, then I sure would love to get called that too.

I made a post before now, you misconstrued it or gave it a pass. The post is for everyone that's interested in making here a good place to kill some time. If this place could make any difference to the soldiers in the North East, then all the better for me. If at this minute it could stop the insurgency it's all good. I've lost some friends there (I'm not a military guy), and in a way I think for me this place keeps their memory alive. Let's not abase the sacrifices of the patriots by making insults here.
