While addressing troops of Special Super Camp Ngamdu in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State on 9 April 2020, Gen Buratai said that he will be with them to the nooks and crannies of the theatre. It will be recalled that we earlier reported that the COAS had been on operational tour to troops' locations in the North East Theatre of Operation since Saturday the 4th of April, 2020. During the tour, he was at the Army Super Camp 1 at Mulai and the Special Forces Super Camp 12 at Chabbol near Maiduguri on Wednesday 8 April 2020 where he interacted with the officers and addressed the troops respectively. COAS was also at the Forward Operations Base at Alau Dam, and also personally led the troops on patrol round Mairimari and Maigilari Forests. The Nigerian Army wishes to reassure Nigerians that it is highly committed to protecting all law abiding citizens and defending our territorial integrity. Kalapizim: Desperate time calls for desperate measures. It's time arm chair general's quit their comfy offices and leaf by example. At this time when needed equipments are arriving, this will be a big morale booster. As for the chief of naval staff, the military must be seen working in sync. Moreover, all hands must be on deck. The entire lake Chad must be fully commandeered and under lockdown 2 Likes |

Whyem15: Everything you wrote here has no bearing with arms supply through the sea. Your darling Jonathan eventually used the sea are you aware? Saudi as a US ally denied Nigeria air space, I asked why the sea wasn't an option? that is exactly what they used eventually but they forgot to tell chaps like you. Bringing Somalia into this discourse is a distraction, if you don't know the economic importance of Somalia waters to global trade, if you don't know why the US, France even China ran to Djibouti to build bases to keep an eye on Somalia waters, then you have no buisness on this thread. Iran broke ties with the US in 1979, (41years ago) I am not aware the US transferred technology to Iran at the time, but I am aware the US sold them some platforms & im aware several of those platforms are aged with no idea how to bring them back to life. I am also aware that Russia transferred technology to Iran reason the Iranian domestic made Bavar 373 is a copy of the Russian S-300, I am also aware that Iran locally reverse engineered the US RQ-170 sentinel stealth drone to produce their local Shahed-171 and Saeqah drones. If you sincerely believe that US phantom technology transfer 41yrs ago gave birth to modern stealth drones, advanced interception & jamming capabilities, air defense systems that could down a US Global hawk, bros you have no buisness on this thread, just look for any Davido-Chioma thread & sign up. You sound ridiculous. Iran earned their place on the global table amidst sanctions some of which was global in nature not forgetting the 2006 UN arms embargo, while your president acted miserably on a parochial sanction despite having plethora of options. 15yrs ago, Iran was rated woefully I wonder why the so called "US technology transfer" left them miserable before now. Quit deceiving yourself. 5 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu: It will be foolhardy to deploy the armed forces in these places and still continue to maintain a defensive posture. The only language these rag heads understand is violence. Send them running in different directions, far from been able to regroup, then send in the SFs to do the mop ups. A sustained, coordinated offensive from air, sea and land for two weeks can go a long way to destabilise their plans. Pre election 2015, it was done. It can be done again, only this time, it must be sustained further. With Covid-19, crippling the economy at this point, this war might be unsustainable on the long run. 5 Likes |

blacKDalia: You are the only person that came close to understanding what the US went to do in Afghanistan, the rest were busy saying what they think, not uncommon here though. US went to Afghanistan to degrade the Taliban, ensure their Alqaeda allies no longer have the capability to pull a hit on US soil after 9/11. You can go back and listen to George bush address to the nation in 2001. The last time I checked, that Objective was met with minimal casualties, one of the least in modern history, reason some keyboard warriors are struggling to pull out a better stats. Haven met the primary Objective, there was global pressure to stabilize & rebuild Afghanistan, that gave birth to a secondary Objective which the likes of former US defense secretary Jim Mattis believe will not be achieved with the barrel. It is irritating to read from comedians here that the US primary Objective wasn't met with overwhelming firepower. Even the Taliban themselves have forgotten their terror projection agenda, they are now interested in local politics to control provinces & earn seats in Parliament, that's how useless they have become, thanks to the US "flawed strategy" according to some women here. There is no Alqaeda group linked to the Taliban that has ever pulled a hit on US soil in the last 15yrs, another fact!! that's proof US met her primary Objective in Afghanistan. 3 Likes |

I believe this is the right time to carryout a blitzkrieg on the enemies because obviously the Chadians have done 80% of the job, we need to Do a comprehensive mop up with all we've got, rally all men and officers thank God course 45 officers just finished their airborne course in Jaji. They should all be rallied, we can also invite the Chadians including their air components to join the operation to finish the job once and for all. If we don't take advantage of this present situation then we should just forget about this insurgency for now because it will be obvious that we're playing tente with the terrorists. 2 Likes |

ugo4u: You must be a child not to know the UAE is a US ally before you were born. Who expects you to know that 3,500 US troops are deployed at the Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi. Who expects you to know that UAE is only one of three countries and the only Arab nation to participate with the US in six coalition actions over the last 20 years: Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Bosnia-Kosovo, the 1990 Gulf War and the fight against ISIS. UAE can get Chinook as a US ally, Nigeria can not. Singapore and the U.S. have a strong bilateral defense partnership, underpinned by the 1990 Memorandum of Understanding and 2005 Strategic Framework Agreement, and most recently elevated by the 2015 enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement You don't know these basic military relations between these countries yet open your butt hole to call me ignorant? seankafor: These kind of fickers don't really care about death, not when there are 72 fresh virgins waiting for them. Frankly, if the Chief comes, I think ISWAP will attack. If they lose they gain a propaganda coup as being so daring as to attack a whole Chief of Army staff. If they win and capture some important personalities... But have you asked yourself why we can have so many drones and choppers guarding someone, just one person. But you barely hear of such drones and choppers coming to help and bombing the shit of the enemy when our troops on the frontline are facing an attack. 8 Likes |
