Despite the lockdown imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Lagos State, the epicentre of coronavirus, neighbouring Ogun and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to stem the spread of the virus, figures show that COVID-19 confirmed cases have more than double across the nation within 11 of the last 13 days.https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/04/despite-covid-19-lockdown-lagos-ogun-cases-rise-by-100-in-11-days-abuja-150/ 3 Likes 1 Share

In some states, their Governors volunteered to test positive in absence of none positive case in their states to partake in the Federal Government Covid-19 funds. I sense audio positive cases in that figure especially with the speed that some of the elites turn negatives later without stepping a foot on any of designated isolation centers for treatments or proper observations! 201 Likes 16 Shares |

That's what happens when you have no government in control. All these would have been stopped if we had a responsive government that closed the border when it was first suggested. 40 Likes 3 Shares |

D lockdown wasnt supposed to cure ppl of d disease, it was supposed to help ppl already exposed to d virus to self isolate and to reduce spreading to others while contact tracing is ongoing. By showing symptoms dey can be easily identified and tested. But d only problem with dat is d number of ppl dey would have com in contact with within those period. 176 Likes 7 Shares |

Very useless newspaper called vanguard. What kind of headline is "Despite the lockdown"? Italy, France, Spain, the US, Germany, Japan all have had various forms of lockdown and what has been the result? Compare with Nigeria and tell us what you mean by despite. Rag of a paper. 196 Likes 13 Shares |

Things are really getting out of hand . But on a serious note we Nigeria are so ignorant. Some today still didn’t believe corona virus is here until they become victim. 18 Likes 3 Shares |

Lockdown that started when we already had an index case? Once you have the case in your country lockdown is only meant to immobilise people and buy you time to track new cases and isolate them. Meanwhile if Bubu had been proactive and close the borders early I believe we would have been better off. 7 Likes 1 Share |

To be fair and candid, I feel NCDC is trying so well; but we as citizens also need to play our part by limiting contact most especially in public places! Kudos to all our health/medical workers out there in the field! You guys are the true heroes! GOD bless you all abundantly! Shalom! 17 Likes |

The lock Down was very helpful. However you cannot keep people on lock down indefinitely without providing for them. Its a recipe for disaster. Every one needs money. So therefore everyone should be sent money just like what happens in developed countries. If not more people are going to break lockdown and crime rate would increase China got control by keeping people at home for 2 months while feeding them. We would be needed to stay at home for at least a month 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Either the cases rise by 100% or 1000% I don't care. I'm hitting the street tomorrow, and no baga can stop me ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We have been staying at home for over two weeks and our useless governments are doing nothing to ease the effect of the lockdown... Only audio palliative 4 Likes |

Unfortunately, the lockdown can't be a success if the government does not play a good role in providing FOOD to her citizens as a way of encouraging them to stay safe and indoors. 7 Likes 3 Shares |
