without the lockdown thousands of people would have been infected.

You got any evidence or just speculating. The country Belarus are living normal life with a low infection and death rate relative to their fellow European countries on lockdown.

Very useless newspaper called vanguard.

What kind of headline is "Despite the lockdown"?

Italy, France, Spain, the US, Germany, Japan all have had various forms of lockdown and what has been the result?

Compare with Nigeria and tell us what you mean by despite.

Rag of a paper.

It will peak, plateau and dip. Let's maintain total lockdown, sanitize the streets and help people live through this period.

It will not dip if Nigerian continue to disobey the government directive to stay at home and the government fail to supply PPE to critical workers and palliative to the general public.

We all have a role to play.

Sweden has over 10k cases and over 800 deaths. Considering that they have a better healthcare than us, is this what you want for Nigeria?

You live for yourself and your family. You don't live for the government.

It is practically impossible for a 200 million population to miss you or feel your premature exit (i.e. demise) - you are just a drop in Nigeria's ocean.

The total number of cases is not a true reflection of the situation in Nigeria. NCDC have barely tested 6000 with under 400 +. A simple projection will give a true case if we improve testing to 60,000

You do know if you test via contact tracing this methodology you've described doesn't actually make your result correct?

Is it ignorance that makes some of you write the things you do?

There is nothing wrong with debt and many of you have to come to terms with this reality.

The USA that many of you think is heaven, owes trillions of dollars with most of to China.

When someone asks you questions on your own financial status, many of you take it as an insult.

Yet if you look at it, many of you struggle financially and you have various excuses for it.

Rightly or wrongly, if you can make an excuse for your situation, it can also be extended to what your government is capable of.

Nigeria is a poor country and the earlier Nigerians understand this, the better it would be for the nation.

We need to increase our output for various goods and services we otherwise import.

You cannot import everything from rice to clothes to cars yet all you export is oil (just 2 million barrels per day with 200 million people depending on it) but expect to have a high standard of living.

Until the youth understand that they live in a poor country and their contribution is required to lift not only themselves but their families and by extension the society out of a cycle of poverty, they would continue to wail in vain.

You have touch critical points herein that only reasonable people can understand.

Indeed Nigeria is a poor country but most Nigerians do not know it. Infact, one will be courting controversy stating it.

Oga stop saying all these things.Did u prefer to start work and kiss the diesease or stay indoor and battle with hunger.Since all these days with lockdown av not seen anyone die of hunger na Tuesday I broke my pigi bank not that I get money but I prefer to stay indoor than to go carry disease in the name of hunger. If u dey follow all these foregin media u will knw the best thing is to stay home and stay safe.America and Italy could av prefer complete lockdown since early days than counting death everyday. If the cases is triggered like that of European countries, nobody will beg u to stay indoor.

FG Should av distributes testing kits to each of the local government of the federation and announce total lockdown for next 3 weeks, that will be the best strategy to map out those that av have the disease even at asymptomatic stage.

You will come outside when army robbers come knock your door.. undecided

The lock down should be extended to at least two weeks. This pandemic Covid-19 is right in our midst and any slight opportunity, our situation will be that of US or Italy (God forbid).
We have to fight this virus for the common good of everybody. It's just unfortunate that hunger will deal with the vulnerable members of the society.

Happy Easter famz.

Lol. 3 months ago who would have been praying for something in nigeria not to be like u.s or italy. Except for police shooting and mafia sha.

Italy mafia sef de try today de share food. And police in America aren't arresting for low level offenses/civil.

My point is why is the feds fooling themselves. For this pandemic to subside on need to speed up action.
First you put people on lockdown but still you can do house to house test
For Goodness sake
Start with the capital first and you will be amazed with how far this has gone
Rather sipping from from a wine bottle and adding water just to deceive people that nothing is wrong.

WISE UP FAST

THE EARLIER WE MAKE GROUNDS ON THIS THE BETTER.
