sammysticks:Like they always say on this thread read from the beginning by the time you get to this page a lot of things will be clear. Everything I have ever learnt about applying the process - from getting a supervisor to applying for admission was on this thread. Just start reading it small small And if you think this 600 page thread is too long - like the last poster who gave testimony said maybe another country is better for Masters. Canadian studies is hectic. I am doing one small (I thought) online certificate course. Those people have already killed me with reading. They don’t see anything in giving you two or three 200 page document to read and write paper on every week. I keep wondering how the masters will be. God dey sha 5 Likes |

Hello house, Good morning and thanks for all the great works! Please I want to ask two questions - 1. With this Covid-19 wahala, is the vfs in Lagos still accepting applications for submission? If yes, what about the Lagos lockdown because I live out of Lagos. 2. Every time I tried to upload my IMM forms on CIC, I noticed it doesn't preview in the preview pane, do you advise I upload them like that without previewing them? If I upload them, would the Consular be able to see the forms at his/her end? I'm worried because I don't want to submit a blank Form. Thanks all. |

Francejaik: Even with the adobe acrobat it may not open automatically. What I had to do was download the form first to my computer - that screen page that says if the form does not open automatically that means your computer application is not good enough or something like that- download it and save into a folder. Then go to that folder and click open with acrobat 4 Likes |

Guys please who has used this “send statement to embassy” feature with GTBANK? There’s supposed to be a place where you get your ticket from which will be attached to your application but I can’t see any ticket 1 Like |

Happy Ester, I have been following this thread. I have drafted my SOP as concise as possible and it has run to about 7 pages. An agent recommended that i make it 2 pages max. I am just wondering how i could do that because i might end up removing vital information. Also, how risky is it to have three sponsors? What do you think? |

Hello NwanyiOkpa, NwanyiOkpa: Each application isn't the same like the personal circumstances of the applicant. Literally, the financial situation and other proof of establishment of sponsors who has a direct relationship to the applicant ought to cover the applicant. However, because of the discretion VOs applies to scrutinize applications, as a matured or applicant with a work related experience, its advisable to include one. In its own minute way, it creates certain perspective of your activeness in terms of employment and other areas associated with your level of establishment. If its up to me, I will definitely advise you to include one no matter how small the closing balance and even at that your sponsors are financially capable. This means the VO won't place all focus on yours. In as much as there is no limit on the number of sponsors, with the analysis you gave to the house, the two of them are already capable. My own personal opinion if I own the application is using just 2 sponsors without an additional third or rather the third can write a Letter of Support to either make a financial commitment justification or promissory intent on the note that if your application is approved. You can also get one of them to transfer certain amount of funds to the other. Though there is no harm using all three of them. NwanyiOkpa: Yes, there is no harm at all. You can use it to strengthen the reasons why you chose Canada as a study destination and creating a notion that Canada is not a do affair as a destination to study. I repeat there is no harm of whatsoever. All the best 1 Like |

TheBeat: Hello TheBeat, Your landed properties will definitely suffice and if there is time slat your disposal to register the farm then good. If not, you can simply include TV clearance or waste management bills or any other government revenue document. Your family isn't left out as well. Also, how well you can garnish your English to interpret you personal circumstances creates a whole lots of certain positive vibes and commanding attention. All the best 3 Likes 1 Share |

JustMellow: Hello sir, If my sister who is supposed to be co-sponsor 2 sends the funds to my dad, co-sponsor 1, would that raise any brows? Considering that it is a sudden cash flow. I would like to reduce the number of sponsors to 2 as you suggested. One main sponsor, my brother and one co-sponsor, my dad. |

Hello gurus in the house, happy easter. I am already filling my IMM form for my master study permit and I would like who I should fill as my sponsor. Should I fill myself or my brother. I obtained a study leave with pay, got letter of introduction from my boss and will obtain a study loan from my cooperative society but my brother have transferred 1m to my account. Hence, should I use myself or my brother as my sponsor? |

Chimzy4real:First thing to do is to research the faculty. Check them on google. If you can find any of their papers online read as many as you can. From the information you get from them you can now draft your research interests such that it will catch the attention of the supervisor you are targeting. ,e.g during my undergraduate program I studied.......and ........ l wrote my project on ...... and ....... While researching for my project I became intrigued by ......:....... (topic close to the professor you are targeting’s area of research). I therefore decided to pursue a Masters program on....... |
