Yes, just because there were black troops in the Free Arab legion, which was set up to deal with the Allies in North Africa during the North African campaigns does not mean blacks were treated equally.

Go and read how Senghor, as a soldier in the French Army, was nearly shot dead, alongside other black troops by German Nazi soldiers (it was a white French soldier who saved them). African colonial troops in the French Army captured by the Germans were treated poorly.

1.The white soldiers are wearing standard issue Wehrmacht uniforms. They are not in the SS (if they were in the SS they would have at this stage had the Sig runes on their collars, and possibly Nazi armbands)

2.The black soldiers are(captured) French troops. One of them even has the classic cap worn by French colonial troops.
