Hey guys, I just completed my application and my CRS is 435 I have a BSC in Electrical Engineering, 4 years of Experience, IELTS S-7.5, W-7, L-8, R-9.... Please does anyone have any tips on how I can increase my CRS or at least apply for a provincial nomination? Which areas would accept that CRS for PNP?

Hello everyone, good morning.
Please I have an issue that’s been bothering me since January. I’ve tried to keep calm all this while but I can no longer act like all is well.
I submitted my profile November 2019 and got my EE number, UCI and job validation seekers code then for some reason, I changed my password. After that I couldn’t find my application details in my account.
I’ve tried to link my application (it keeps saying my application cannot be found) raised web form twice, reported error etc but the responses I get are still thesame (you may not be able to find your application if we haven’t started).
At this point, I want to know if I should start another profile again...am I not meant to delete the first application before I can start another? Meanwhile I still get notifications of job vacancies from job bank.

Please help!! Cc @populargingo

get an extra certification like bcs or cima. The only pnp one can apply for now is Saskatchewan if you occupation is in demand but bsc and 4 years experience cant give you the required scores for the pnp. The rest chose ffom the pool based on noc in demand so its based on luck. Do you want to wait for luck or do something about it

Hello house,

Traveling to Canada has somewhat been on my mind since last year. I'm currently serving and will be done in the later months of the year. I studied Literature in English, but the major challenge is the certifications i need to possess to get a good job over there (not necessarily in my field). I plan on enrolling for Masters of which i don't know if it would pave way for a job. The aim is to relocate and work. I have an Uncle there though who would be a citizen in a year or two, but i dont want to put my eggs in one basket in case there is a disappointment. Please house advise me on the way forward. I want to be out of this country latest February 2022 or before.

Thanks
plan towards a masters and 3 years work experience. Easiet way

Please house, those of you who aced their IELTS test in just one attempt please which materials did you use

So I sat for IELTS (with IDP/MOD) for the first time on March 21, 2020

R - 8.5
L - 8.5
S - 7.5
W - 7 (despite my essay's incomplete word count; time ran out).

Just to share some of the materials I made use of.

LISTENING AND READING parts:

This particular app proved invaluable:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lt.ieltspracticetest

Also try the free tests on ieltsonlinetests.com (General Training) and the British Council IELTS website for size.

They give a very good feel of the real exam conditions/situations, imho.

PS: pls append https:// to the beginning of every YouTube link below. I removed it in order to avoid the rather distracting big images the links create.

WRITING:
Watch these short videos, write down the tips, and follow those instructions in trying out 3 different letter and essay formats each (6 total) IN THE DAYS LEADING UP TO YOUR TEST DATE.

TASK 1 (Letter Writing)
General Letter Writing Tips: youtu.be/bBjp3EVMr64
Formal Letters: youtu.be/4y_u4o5kp_w
Informal Letters:
youtu.be/lBHf7LCWhVs
youtu.be/Y5oPF7QLgyo

TASK 2 (Essay):
youtu.be/dbNVbIA8Os0
youtu.be/indZ5C4O5C0

SPEAKING
youtu.be/arrIPUa1V6A

Test Day Tips
Work on your introduction before your Speaking test (write down and memorize exactly how you'll briefly introduce and talk about yourself, starting well might set the tone for the rest of the test)

Master the art of skimming and scanning for your Reading. Understanding the question first before going to each passage for your answer saves time, I found.

Be focused and attentive 101% in Listening. Clear your mind. BREEZING THROUGH THE QUESTION FIRST BEFORE THE PASSAGE STARTS HELPS A TON IN ANTICIPATING THE ANSWER

Write your essay first and your Letter after that (I made this mistake and had to rush the concluding paragraph. I still managed to survive, however. Lucky me!)

DO NOT INUNDATE YOURSELF WITH TOO MUCH MATERIAL OUTSIDE OF THESE!

Those that have ITA how do U plan on doing police report . They are operating cause someone I know there I called said I shld come over but with this lock down how do One get there is the problem .

I saw this online https://www.gateway.ng/Nigeria-Police-Report

Online way of getting police report anyone tried it out does it work . At least how do Nigerians doing this process from abroad get their police report . Since they can’t be physically present

I just researched on google about this question and surmised that CIC said with the COVID-19 situation, they will not reject any application for incomplete documents. Rather they can give ADR for such documents with up to 90 days extension to allow the applicant source it. Again, before now, people who live outside the country, from research done here on nairaland, often reach out to these police inspectors who either gets it delivered to them via courier or their family members here in Nigeria comes to collect, scan and then send to the applicants who uploads. Its all an arrangement between both parties.

Ejo, bikonu, please research can actually give true and update-to-date answers. If you then need confirmation, you ask here to double assure yourself. The seniors in this group hardly even respond anymore these days because, there is no point doing so cos two pages after, someone will still ask the same question in a more funnier context.
Pls, e-fam, it doesn't hurt to research o cheesy... it saves space for more serious questions.. soon, this thread will be closed and another opened and nothing reasonable will be in it. When one is then redirected to page 1 or told to check previous threads in the future, they end up saying there's nothing to find.
Nobody should come for me undecided. I'm tayad but had to voice out about this as the matter don full cup. grin

House,

I’m in desperate need of F1-F9 study materials. Thank you all.

You may want to try acowtancy or opentuition. Search for both online, they both have free materials you can download.
Or you can go to bookshops around get BPP or KAPLAN materials.
All the best.

Ejo Bikonu , I do loads and lots of research . I got to this stage by series of research. Maybe I didn’t put my question well. I was most particular abt that link I pasted to confirm if it actually works . Na research wey I do both on Google and nairaland here made me come across that link of police certificate Online . If using the link won’t be possible of course I gat no choice than to wait for a while

And as regards CiC sure I do know that there is a 90 day time frame now however I am looking at how to avoid paying the new PR application fees that will take effect starting from April 30th hence not wanting to wait for 90 days and my hustle to submit before that April 30th

As for the new PR application fees Principal Applicant is gonna be increased to 825CAD from 550CAD. Fees for dependent children is gonna be increased to 225CAD from 150CAD. The right of permanent residence fee will be increased to 500CAD formerly 490CAD

Well na only research make me sabi all this and it isn’t on page one yet So yeah I have update to date answers and sometimes we just come here to rub minds and get others opinion

Again, research shows that if you have AOR, the increased fees would not affect you even if you pay only for the application and biometrics fees. The 90 days time frame if you truly read meaning into what I typed is for ADR.
RESEARCH, NO. come here and be telling me about fees everyone knows
