[Thank you very much for the advice. I honestly do not have the financial capacity at the moment. The program comes with a work permit as you must work and come share your experience during classes. Classes are once a month which gives more time to earn income.

However I have a friend in the US willing to stand as my sponsor. Can this also work for me. If yes. Kindly share a link for successful individual sponsorship.

Regards

As I always advice prospective applicants on this thread, that the Canadian Visa officers doesn't regard company sponsorship for a candidate (employee) seeking for career advancement in Canada and the fact that no matter the amount in the company's account, the applicant's study visa application will still be turned down on the basis of financial insufficiency. This is as a result of several factors which I have listed in my previous post about Employer's sponsorship.

I prefer you're self-sponsored applicant, while your company provides a cover letter confirming the fact that you will be absorbed upon your return with a promotion in office and an increase in salary as the case maybe.

As per the direction of the visa process, follow the LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION to begin your application.

It will end in praise.

I just realised mun doesn't offer funding for their masters program

Nyenyenwq:
You can Google it. I did my school search first by finding the names of universities in canada, I found out the affordable schools too and separated them (yes I was meticulous enough cos I was targeting full funding and scholarships, I got an 80 leaves for my school and supervisor search). When I got the schools listed out, I started the course /school search proper by making use of this for e.g University of Manitoba/estate management /Master of Science. Even if they offer the course but has a different name for it, it will be shown. I did this school/supervisor search for close to 6 months and finally it paid off. I got a full funded admission plus scholarship that covers all my expenses and tuition fee
Good day guys, please can any one recommend a canadian university that offere msc in estate managent or any related course?

Secondary schools also give transcript. He should go to his school they will give him.

It's been a while I visited this thread. So, I am reading from where I stopped previously. @CampusCastle, be properly guided that the secondary school academic transcript the school in Canada is referring to is the online WAEC results print out as well as the scratch card and not the grades you had in classes while you were in highschool. Upon successful review of your documents, the school will request for a copy of your ORIGINAL WAEC certificate to complete your application. Afterwards, you will be granted an admission.

Try this and thank me later. cool

Actually, they do. It's rare though and depending on the type of masters you are going for. Course based or research. There is a higher chance of you getting funded via research.

If he tells you that you will be denied will you withdraw your application? The final decision lies in the hands of the VO.

Just pray for grace. God will do it for you.

The visa application process for now the only way to apply is online because of COVID.
The process: create your profile at GCKey website. Just google apply online Canadian study permit and follow the link to the GCKey.
2. When you have created the profile, you start a new application. First thing will be a questionnaire. Carefully fill the questionnaire because the forms they will give you to fill depends on the answers you gave on the questionnaire.
3. Download the forms one by one, save in your computer, fill and upload back to the website.
4. Financial - combine all your financial documents into one pdf and submit.
The good thing is you cannot submit the application online until you have uploaded all documents.
5. Submit and pay.
6. Start to pray.
As for the letter of explanation just tweak the statement of purpose you used for your admission. New information you can add include an explanation of how you are funding the studies if it’s not already in your letter of sponsorship. Focus also on explaining how these studies will impact positively on your career - perhaps maybe open you up for managerial positions or give you opportunity for international experience. You have to show them that you have carefully counted the costs for the studies and seen that it is worth it.
Just assume you are a VO - look at your application with the eye of a VO and answer any questions you know you would have asked the applicant or any doubts that would have arisen in your mind.

Good day ma.

Thanks for all your contributions. I want to start the online process now. Please how many and which forms did you download and fill?

Calm down sir. One thing you and everyone on this forum need to know is no matter what you read on this forum, you must not panic. The information on here are a combination of rules and general guidelines. It is the duty of applicants to use their discretion when applying the information on this forum towards their own peculiar situation. From the information you provided, your situation is different and you should be okay.

If you were able to convince the visa officer via your letter that your business will not be affected, you and your wife are the only signatories to the account and submitted all the required documents then you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Just so you know, I have seen people get approved with company account. Even though it is not always advisable but it has happened and still happens.

For future reference, what you should have done is transfer the funds (Living expenses and balance of fees) from your company account to your chequing/current account and explain the source of the funds. Also, you will submit your current and company account statements (to show source of funds) and other supporting documents.

P.s: For all applicants, once you have done your very best and submitted your application, leave the rest in God's hand. If you feel there is a need to add a document, use the webform.

Your CGPA qualifies you for a lot of programs. These includes; Post graduate diploma, graduate certificate, advanced diploma and post baccalaureate diploma programs. When you get an admission to a DLI institution you can get between 1-2yrs work permit after the completion of your program
thanks for ur response what about a masters program ?

No, it doesn't. however, if you really want to enroll for an MSc program you can take some prerequisite courses in your chosen postgraduate program and switch to your preferred program at a later date. let me give you an example; At Thompson Rivers University if you don't qualify for an MBA program you can take any business-related post-baccalaureate program that way you'll be required to take some MBA prerequisite courses( financial accounting, microeconomics, etc) and if you maintain a B-grade average in those courses you can then switch to the MBA program.

Hello everyone, like to know how long an undergraduate application process takes?
plus if undergraduate application has more chance.
from a Nigerian perspective enrolling or applying for a BSc program depend on some key factors;
1. Age: If you are not between age of 16-19yrs then it is quite hard to get approval using a BSc program.

2. Previous education qualification: If you already have an undergraduate certificate or a program deemed higher than a Bsc then it becomes extremely difficult to convince a Visa officer of your intentions and motivation to undergo an undergraduate program.

3. Purpose/Finance: Undergraduate programs in Canada are usually 4yrs and that comes with a lot of financial responsibilities. having to shell out an average of $10k every year for four years is not easy. the visa officer again would want to understand why you want to pay so much for an undergrad program.

Travel history doesn't really matter and shouldn't bother you because you don't need to travel out from your home country before you can get your application approved. If you have not travelled before, you can simply explain to the Visa officer in your SOP that you don't like traveling or haven't thought of travelling abroad before. That, your reasons for wanting to travel abroad at this point in your life is to augment special worth to yourself and also because of how important this program (mention few benefits of the program) is to your career/business back home which would create lots of outstanding opportunities in your career and personal development. On the other hand, you can say your busy work schedule doesn't allow you to travel.

Payment of tuition fees is not a prerequisite for a visa approval. However, prospective applicants pay up their entire tuition fees to prove to the visa officer that they have the financial resources to undertake the proposed program in Canada. I would suggest if you've the first year tuition, you can proceed with the payment while the living expenses will be in either your account or sponsor's account. With that said, be sure you've perused the school refund policy prior to completing an upfront tuition payment.

It will end in praise.

Thank you very much please I want to find out with this covid 19 still causing lock down.... is it possible to start my online application process? I mean is the online portal open for applications? What of the biometrics?

Hello Segzyndpep,

Your case is different. This won't pose as red flag especially if you demonstrate you have a reliable source of funds and economically established. No VO would refuse you because you used your owned company's account to want to study in Canada except if your failed to show convincing reasons about your intention to study and other aforesaid reasons. Its your money irrespective of the account its deposited and the VO understands this. Don't fuss over what isn't necessary.

Thanks so much. You have been so helpful.
Now, here is another issue i am facing. I don't know the value of the properties of my sponsors.

I only know the price at which the lands were purchased. Although, the land now has buildings on them.

What formula can i use to arrive at the value?

Hello NwanyiOkpa,

I am sorry, I don't think I can help you with this. However you can idealistically source from any contractors, engineers, estate managers, surveyors, builders around you to makeup your assumptions.

My uncle that bears the same surname with me gave me a bank statement of closing acct of 300, 000K, with a credit balance of 2million. Where as, my School One year tuition is 6million naira and the living expenses is $10,000.

Please, should I use him as my sole sponsor or should I use my maternal Aunt's Statement of account that runs in millions as a co-sponsor.

N.B- My Maternal Aunt doesn't bear the same surname with me.

PLEASE, I need your candid piece of advice cuz I'm in dilemma.

I don't get you clearly, are you saying your mum will have 300k in her account after deducting your tuition fee and living expenses (around #9-10 million)? If not, then I am sorry you don't have the financial strength to study in Canada.
As for your aunt, is she willing to really sponsor you or you just want to use her SOA to apply? If it is the later then you don't have any chance of getting TRV.
Another option will be for you to go for a course/program that will give you full funding that will cover your tuition and living expenses

Hello Guys... quick one.. so i got admitted to Georgian College last year i deferred my admission to this year because of POF as my Aunt i wanted to use as co sponsor changed her mind suddenly (long story). so i decided to raise the money myself and be my sole sponsor as i dont have one rich uncle or aunt like most people.. and my folks aint that buoyant. My tuition for a year is $17,070.07.

From my projection of income from projects (im a software developer) i should have about N9million in 3 months. Will that be enough to use as POF being that School fees for a year @$17,070.07 + one year living expense @$10,000 + $3000 extra to cover flight and anything else comes to $30,070.07 thats about N8,419,619.6.

I am Married with 3 kids i run my own company.. i am not going with my family.. just going alone.

Hello gurus in the house, Please I am a little bit confused. I applied for a PhD program in U of S in Canada, got my official offer letter with scholarship (Covers my living expenses and tuition) and in addition I got a full funding from my supervisor's grant (also covers my living expenses and tuition fee). Please can i attach just the two documents as my proof for funding since they both cover my living expenses, tuition fee and every other need for money. Thank you all
NB: I dont have any sponsor and that was why i sourced for scholarships and full funding. I have about 300k in my personal account and that is all I have.
