Fatally wounded but not dead.
After the airstrike he released a video, from which some analysts claimed he his visual problem that might be has a result of the airstrike
The first incident where there was rumors that he was dead, was a BH commander with close resemblance that was captured and killed, you should have watched the video.

Nigeria Super Tucano makes her maiden flight. Elegant!

Jacksonville, EUA, April 17, 2020 – Embraer Defense & Security and Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) announced the first of 12 A-29 Super Tucano light attack, combat and reconnaissance aircraft for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully completed its inaugural flight at the production facility in Jacksonville, Florida.

The full fleet of A-29 Super Tucano aircraft for the NAF are currently in production by SNC and Embraer at the Jacksonville facility with delivery to the NAF expected on schedule in 2021.

The NAF A-29 aircraft will now begin mission modification and final testing in Centennial, Colorado. Following final testing, before delivery, NAF pilots will train in the aircraft.

“This is an exciting milestone in the production of these A-29s for the Nigerian Air Force. The Jacksonville production line is active, and Embraer and SNC look forward to seeing these aircraft continue to roll off the line in the coming months,” says Jackson Schneider, president & CEO, Embraer Defense & Security.

“The aircraft met or exceeded all the requirements and we are very pleased with the successful flight,” stated Ed Topps, vice president of Tactical Aircraft Systems and programs for SNC’s IAS business area. “SNC and our partner, Embraer, are certain the Nigerian Air Force will be pleased with these aircraft.”

The combat-proven A-29 Super Tucano is the gold standard of light attack combat and reconnaissance aircraft around the world and is designed and built for the mission in Nigeria.

The A-29 Super Tucano is the most reliable and cost-effective solution for basic and advanced flight and combat training, close air support operations, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), armed over-watch, counterinsurgency and irregular warfare scenarios.

The aircraft has already been selected by 15 air forces around the world to deliver cost-effective close air support and reconnaissance capabilities.

In December 2018, SNC and Embraer Defense & Security were awarded the contract to deliver 12 A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft to the Nigerian Air Force. The contract for the NAF includes ground training devices, mission planning systems, mission debrief systems, spares, ground support equipment, alternate mission equipment, contiguous U.S. interim contractor support, outside of continental U.S. (OCONUS) contractor logistic support and field service representatives for OCONUS support.

NIGERIAN DEFENCE ACADEMY PRODUCES VENTILATORS TO CURB CORONAVIRUS

As part of its contribution to curb the spread of coronavirus in Nigeria, the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has designed and produced 2 types of ventilators, hand wash and sanitiser that could be quickly reproduced to stem the shortage of the equipment in the country.

The design and production of the ventilators is coming a week after the Commandant NDA, Major General Jamil Sarham, convened a team of engineers, technologists and technicians from the Mechatronics Department under Major Dr Abubakar Suraj Imam to "rapidly develop affordable ventilator within the shortest possible time, using readily available components". The team was also tasked to "develop capacity of producing at least 30 ventilators in a month". This is against the backdrop of the high cost of foreign-made ventilators and the present difficulties associated with procuring these.

Presenting their report to the Commadant, head of the team who is also Head of Department Mechatronics, Major Dr Abubakar Surajo Imam, disclosed that his team was able to, within a week, design and produce 2 unique ventilators that could be quickly deployed to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. According to him, both ventilators, NDA Type 1 and NDA Type 2, could be reproduced cheaply and noted that currently the Academy has the capacity of producing 30 ventilators in a month.

Speaking further, he disclosed that NDA Type 1 ventilator is a fully automated system with an interactive user-interface and 4 potentiometres for adjusting air and oxygen parameters. Similarly, the NDA Type 2 is also fully automated, operates with a 2 KVA self-sustaining onboard inverter equipped with a military-grade lithium battery. He noted that both prototypes have been subjected to a series of technical performance evaluation tests with impressive results.

It is worthy to know that apart from the production of the ventilators, the NDA also produced hand wash and sanitisers. This is to enhance the hygiene and develop washing hand culture among the Academy community.

While responding to the various research efforts, the Commandant, Major General Jamil Sarham commended the effort of the team. He pledged to continue to support all research efforts in the Academy in order to proffer solutions to various problems affecting the country.

Well, am glad the Dubai landlord is in borno state, even though buhari once gave him an order after a meeting in december 2018, for him to relocate to borno state, an order which he refused to follow. Thank God for the Chadian president who led by example, the body language of the Chadian president eventually made buratai relocate to borno state in 2020.

The Chadian president once said the Nigerian military was absent in this fight against boko haram back in 2015, I hope buratai will finally prove him wrong in 2020.

Forgive my ignorance.

But in my experience that doesn't seem to be a fire fight engagement with Boko Haram.

People are standing around very casually and with not any particular concern for personal safety or sense of impending danger.

So because Buratai is now standing in the trench, "Shekau will now surrender". That's all it takes.

By all means praise whoever you want but do it with substance and rationality.

Meanwhile it's not an argument of hostility, just my observations.

Let us take like 200m USD and invest in armed military drones

We can have 24 hour coverage of the ne/lake chad axis without breaking a sweat or risking the lives if our service men by sending them out all the time

Our Intel agencies (at least when it comes to this matter) are embarrassing the country.

There are a few who have been shouting very loudly that the A29 is the game changer in COIN warfare. And even quite a few who have erroneously agreed.

My approach is very simple, "Best Value" and greatest impact / outcome delivery from limited resources.

I said the future is " Attack UAV'S" that give you 24 hour endurance without the enemy even knowing and then you can eliminate him clinically with almost zero risk to air force personal. They are now the game changer.

Wing Loong II is an attack UAV that has some impressive statistics. 24 hour endurance, 1500km range and a 500kg payload of multiple smart and precision ordinances, missiles, etc There is no hiding place daytime or nightime.

How many UAV 's do we need to have total and complete 24 hour coverage of the NE theatre and with over watch of our very gallant soldiers.❓❓ ❓.

My projection at least 35 Wing Loong II UAV will do the job. But to be absolutely sure l would procure 50.

Now some of you not all will even shocked at the procurement cost.

$1million per unit, that's $50 million for 50 Chinese Wing Loong II attack UAV
now compare that to the total per unit procurement package cost of one turboprop A29, which is $50 million.

Now with your eyes open which would you rather have. l find some of our decisions baffling and the allegations of zero will to end this cash cow war, begin to have some credence.

With 50 UAV or effectively 20+ combing the skies at 8000 ft, at any one time, unknown Boko. Not one of thier gun trucks will be able to operate without being roasted, indeed they will have not be able to have any. It means where 2/3 Boko gather we will know. There will be nothing like suprise attack on any NA base or convoys and or convoys of Boko gun trucks running with reckless abandon across the NE. That's for the entire NE theatre.

In this light all manner of narratives becomes the truth because of lack of information from the theatre.

Mr Komekn, please endeavour to conduct proper research before posting off comments.

It's something you hardly do.

According to your wild claims, 50 million dollars would be enough to purchase 50 armed UAVs.

I mean, so why is Tunisia paying $240 million for 6 units of Anka-S drones from Turkey.

I am using Turkey-Tunisia UCAV deal as it is the most recent foreign military sale of UAVs today.

Anka-S is the serial production variant of Anka, shown here, which is a medium-altitude, long-endurance UAV. (Turkish Aerospace Industries)
ANKARA, Turkey — Tunisia has awarded a contract to Turkish Aerospace Industries for the supply of six Anka-S drones, three ground control stations and an unspecified level of technology transfer.

Turkish procurement officials said TAI had been awaiting a deal with the government there for more than a year to sell its Anka-S drone. Industry sources said the contract is worth $240 million.

https://www.defensenews.com/unmanned/2020/03/16/turkeys-tai-sells-six-anka-s-drones-to-tunisia/

https://www.armyrecognition.com/march_2020_news_defense_global_security_army_industry/tunisia_to_purchase_turkish-made_anka-s_unmanned_aerial_vehicles.html

https://www.google.com/amp/s/ahvalnews.com/turkey-drones/tunisia-purchase-six-anka-s-drones-turkeys-tai%3famp

In essence Nigeria purchased 12 Super Tucano for 329 million dollars, 496 million dollars when you add infrastructure, training of 100 personnel, ammunition and ISR capabilities.

https://www.defense.gov/Newsroom/Contracts/Contract/Article/1700404/

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.channelstv.com/2018/04/26/496m-aircraft-purchase-senators-call-for-buharis-impeachment/amp/

Tunisia purchased 6 units of Anka-s from Turkey for 240 million dollars including GCS, training and ammunition.

Yet this clown wants us to believe that 50 million dollars would get Nigeria 50 armed drones.

Some of the guys who comment here dream up fantasies and pass it off as facts. Really amusing.
