I know right, it's well bro, I'm still deciding between Belgium and Ireland tho

Wow, that's a good move, If Belgium has the same package, go for it bro.
The aim of the thread is for people to look for countries in Europe with opportunities. Not just the trending ones that are oversaturated with applications.

@cgiggsglover thanks so much for educating us on this immigration stuff. But will like to know how does the network provider works over there.(like our mtn and airtel here in Nigeria)
how to get/register sim in Ireland and
the best phone to usE over there, which phone is common there .
Thanks man
The network providers here are very flexible, different packages, speed and all depending on your need. We have the following

Vodafone
This is the iPhone of the network providers
Very expensive, little data though they have good speed. The minimum you can pay monthly is €20 for 20gig.
First sim I got when I came here and I japka to lycamobile. You cant even call naija with that plan sef. Cos of its expensive, they have great customer service and outlets scattered around the city center. You have to pay more to enjoy more

Lycamobile
This is the Techno of the network.....
Very affordable with some plan going for around €5 for no calls with 3gig data. Its flexible, you have the plan if you want more data, or more international credit to call home or just call. The student plan is €12.50 for 25gig data some credit to call Nigeria, and unlimited call and sms within Ireland. Unlimited plan is €25, you'll be able to call naija conveniently. thing is their network is on 3G. Guess it doesnt get to my house.
They have terrible customer service, I ordered for their sim, and it never arrived at all. They haven't even replied to my mail till date. That's the issue I have with them.
When my house wifi had issues, I needed more data . Me that uses 4.5 gig monthly in Nigeria, 25gig no dey reach anywhere even when wifi was working. So I transferred my number to Eir mobile.

Eir
Only reason I moved to Eir is that the unlimited plan is cheaper, they have 4G which goes on and off. Since the wifi is not there, I needed to keep up my new lifestyle as I watch Aljazeera, CNN, YouTube live and other consistently. I could do this with Eir for €20. I ordered the sim online and on the Third day it came.
If not for the lockdown, I would have done my heavyweight downloading in school but I need to update you guys na.
Then I transferred my line to the Sim. I will switch back to lycamobile when the wifi starts to work. Switching in this country is transferring your number to a new network. In Nigeria grin, due to free browsing, cheats and plan differences, I had mtn, airtel, etisalat and glo sim, ready to switch once I spotted a better offer. Main line was aired.
I had two phones also.
I didnt know lycamobile had a cap on their "unlimited data" which was 100gig. Before 5days, I consumed I got a message telling me that

You have reached 100% of the monthly Fair Use Policy allowance. Further data usage may be subject to limited speeds.

It's like they brought it down to 3G even though the 4G is showing. They just brought it down to lycamobile level, lol. I checked and saw that I found pay €30 to get a 750gig cap, voila. But I'm still enjoying the way it is now, its fast, I can stream, watch Netflix, but downloading huge file is terrible.

Tesco, Anpost, I haven't used these,

For phones, buying a phone with a monthly plan isnt a good idea. It pays to buy it outright. Its cheaper. I rather order it .
You can get a sim easily here, just walk to a network provider shop and smile. They don't do what MTN does to us under hot sun. Theyll just give you the sim, you can then put a bundle and that's it.
I got my lycamobile sim from a shop, it was lying there like junk letters. I picked it up, took it home and bought a bundle, that's all.

All phones are useful here, these old guys still love their iPhone 4s, Its a beautiful phone, my sister recently replaced the 4s I gave her after using it for a year, I used it for 2yrs. The younger ones are the ones that go for the flashy phones. Older women love samsung. I dont know why. Sissy eko and few guys use the recent iPhones.
Refurbished phones are the way to get it cheaper and easily. You can order online or walk to the computer village in Dublin. Lol.

Thank you for the question, Dimaxy.

Thanks for the answer. Though am about to finish my Bsc in microbiology this year.and plan to jakpa to Canada but I see there are too many Nigerian and immigrant there . so I concluded Ireland is still better in term of mass immigration. No too many Nigeria remember that place, our head is full of Canada, UK,USA ,Australia and the like. Am coming for my Master and I see National university of Galway requirements is Okay for me.but am still confused whether I should go for MSC microbiology or MSC biomedical science considering the Job market for both.any suggestion

Well it can take from 3years and above depending on how fast you can get a full time job.
Ok bro.. what if I migrate as a nurse to Ireland with PR and work full time for 3 years.
Will I apply for citizenship directly or do I need to marry there?

That's is true, the thing with Germany is that they're still open, it's just that it takes longer cos lots of people are on it.

This covid19 has changed alot of things. We will see the impact after things are back to normal

That's good, you're doing well

But since you have bsc in micro... why not look for an MSC in biomedical....... I have not considered which one has better job prospect, but specialization isnt the best sometimes.

One thing I observed here is the attention to details.
The little things actually count. They might be small but over time, the impact will be felt. You will enjoy it in your final days, when your back is bent and every comfort you find around means alot even though you shrugged them as nothing in the days of your Youth. Your children enjoy them and are grateful for these little things when they walk in three legs.
A simple consideration as putting slopes in the pedestrian road looks like a small thing but these things will be there for centuries. These are the categories of people it will affect

Those that cycle.
When I bought my first bicycle from the young man. I took it for a spin. I didnt observe the pedestrian slope, lol, let me give it that name. I tried to enter into the pedestrian road to aviid the incoming traffic using naija sense and ruggedness, as if I was in a movie I found myself on the floor. Vehicles around were just looking at me. Chei.
Because it was raining and it was when I went to the village last I touched a bicycle. Plus cycling in the city of lagos, my parents didnt want me to mention it twice, but preferred I used the car.
It was a wake up call, my vision opened and I saw the slopes. Long Story cut short

The Elderly.
Imagine if you have cement blocks on your legs, how can you walk on the road as if you're using the stairs. My mum had arthritis and complains alot walking short distances, she always preferred to take a long route that has a BRT so she could avoid the sharp pavement. Is is that Julius Berger CEOs haven't been to Ireland or this is what our leaders chose. Old people here also have a small trolley that looks like a baby carrier. They have wheels, this is what they use to carry their groceries. They cant kill themselves. Carrying stuff on your head.....

Cars
Due to the limited space around, you can easily park in the pedestrian walkway, the slopes gives you that access. We also have a city in Nigeria with big issues in parking....Lagos.
The slooe we have in Lagos is individual-owned and one sided, that is they drive in and reverse out, Lol, if you enter it with your bike in speed, the shock you'll get from landing can crack your two eggs as a man.

In all, Life isnt fair to those that haven't crossed the borders.

If you have the real name of those "slopes"

Pack no more
My total fees minus scholarship is 4.6M
You either show a nuclear family statement of 4M or eurobond of 2.7M
Once you do the Eurobond and you can pay 80% of your school fees, the rest is history

I really appreciate your sharing. But just a quick one. The 4.6m is it for just tuition? Then followed by another 4m or 2.7m Eurobond as pof.

I have seen lots of pitbulls in this country than I ever saw in Nigeria.
This one caught my eyes, as I was passing by, it was just looking at me, Eye to Eye. It was as if time froze, the muscle definition will make you think these dogs Gym.
Before a human will attain such, himself will know he worked hard.
This is why anything that breathes cant handle power,
it corrupts and all. Thats why little power by way of status, responsibility, money and people change.

This particular dog appeared calm. Imagine if its head touch, what it will do with all of that strength. No wonder dogs like this easily maul their owner or send any unfortunate thief to meet his Maker.

How can man and machine be sharing the same road, plus drunk drivers, mistakes behind the steering, distractions from opposite sex, lol. No wonder people are dying anyhow. I knew hiw many times I over dream and the car will be going offroad, and I had to quickly adjust, good thing there was pedestrian walkway in some parts of Lagos.

2.7 for eurobond.

For some reasons I didnt just trust the eurobond. My sponsor showed 4M in his account. That is the second alternative to POF

Try using a third-party camera app like camera360, Sweet Selfie, etc to take the shots
If that doesn't work you can use the normal camera and try adjusting the aspect ratio (photo scale) and the photo size (resolution).

BTW thanks for the continuous updates, it helps me see Ireland through your eyes cheesy

Hmmmm, I'll try to reduce the size hopefully, the smaller version looks great in Quality.
Nairaland has a limit on the photo size that can enter.
But its work on my part cry
