[quote author=Pharaoh350s post=88622449]Now I see why you got that appointment But is like am understanding something new, all these people in government are in one way or the other done things together. Sha, am gonna do the same to my friend Before I forget,do you mean a Muslim in a Christian wedding ( am not a religion bigot, but let be realistic) He might be saying the truth duo[/q So many lessons to learn from this narrative. 1. Now it is obvious that the nairaland tribal war is unnecessary and profits no man. An Igbo man getting married to a Yoruba woman and a Kanuri man as the best man. 2. Social networking is an essential part of life.Especially with the right people. Although Onyema is well qualified for the job, there are so many others as well but somehow something made him to stand out, which in this case has to to do with his previous connection with old school mate. Such is life. Let's pray . 3. If you have the means ,try and invest on yourself now. You don't know when the opportunity will come. My personal opinion though. |

What i have learnt here is the importance of keeping friendship. No need saying he was the man who influenced the minister's reappointment into Buhari second cabinet that was highly selective. Is a pity that some people don't value friendship. RIP Abba |

Wilstino: Even though you may not believe this,MANY Northerners both educated and uneducated tend to have independent opinions. You will be surprised to hear what bad things some Northerners say about Buhari even though the majority still consider him faultless. There is no disconnect my friend. 1 Like |

sarrki:which means he married very late for him to best man Onyeama's wedding. BTW, from some sources, Onyeama has the temerity; Abba recommended him to Buhari. Some questions on my mind: I sighted the chopper that brought his body on Thursday around 5pm. Why didnt the said chopper fly straight to Maiduguri his country home for a befitting African burial? Gudu cemetery looks so desolate and quite unkempt , quite unbefitting of a man in Abba's status. If you argue that that Muslims do not accord much reverence to their dead I will prove you quite wrong in a thousand ways. And mind you that burial was a mere formality. Kemi Olunloyo may not be completely right but guys wake up and ask necessary questions. How many policemen, soldiers or NCDC personnel did you see enforcing the social distancing rules and stuff like that at the burial site. Brethren, a man in Abba's status cannot be buried that way and secondly, the Federal Government would be heavily involved with substantial security and health paraphenelia. If Abba's corona stricken body was flown into abuja, come on what we saw as burial was just a cloak. Again the secrecy sorrounding his treatment until death was quite uncalled for. Both Prince Charles and Boris Johnsons' treatments where made known to the public till they gained full recovery. And then he will die on Friday and get hurried on Friday because he's a Muslim? Common guys think again. There are then further facts deducible from all these. He died a while ago and his body was cremated in utmost secrecy. They looked at the implication of letting the public know this and realized it would be absolutely misunderstood despite the health necessity and decided to form a phoney burial at Gudu cemetery. Let's look at Gudu cemetery bit. I often pass this cemetery each time I am going to Apo mechanic village to do my car and always wondered the caliber of people that are buried there. I then became curious. I found out that even top military personnel are not buried there alone a man in Abba's status. They cemetery has got no ornamental plants or plaques containing epitaphs or beautiful tomb demarcations just like Ikoyi cemetery where ordinary Da Grin was buried. Did you see the ambulance and moto cade and how professional the burial men on PPE were, with a Federal Government corpse? A top government functionary in Abba's status that died in active service? No No performance of any national ritual like presentation of writ or adornment with national flag as would be done for a private soldier that died in the line of duty? Guys we are not dumb! Then what sort of grave was that? Were they bury in a stillborn child whose mother also died in tedious labour? I will stop here. May Abba rest well wherever he is! 1 Like |

Snakedoctor1: You are confused, Abba Kyari was not a military man and cannot be buried in military cemetery. Military cemeteries emerged from the British colonial system and not from Islamic or traditional systems. Since you already have a mindset , you will find conspiracy theories more believable than the account given by people who know him for over 40 years. 1 Like |

One obvious thing is that in positions of power are all connected somehow. Irrespective of tribe or religion. Breaking into their circle is not easy. Quite telling that people who enjoyed high quality foreign education haven't done much to improve Nigeria. Most have stellar CV but mediocre showing in public office. I guess the weird structure and power game of Nigeria makes brilliant people unproductive in government. 1 Like |

sarrki:Yeah but don't u also forget that they are mostly pushed into those things by the elites like what Buhari did after he lost the election. Many innocent souls including corps members were killed after his baboon soaked in blood statement. Godfrey Oyeama only comes out to paint a good image of a man who behind some of the things that are happening in the country. What else would he say about his fellow party man? This is the age of propaganda. You were one of them.. |

Chosen1984:And what's the big deal about the removal of Onnoghen? Was Onnoghen a saint? Removal of Onnoghen was purely a political game which ended with a winner (APC) and a loser (PDP). Justice Onnoghen was a politician undeniably affiliated with the PDP. The APC saw him as a stumbling block and had to get rid of him. Just as you've revealed, the political wits of Abba Kyari was deployed, dirt was found on Onnoghen, and he was summarily set aside (just politics, nothing personal). PDP seems to still be licking their wounds over that loss, trying hard to make it seem like it was a loss for Nigeria and not just a PDP loss. 2 Likes |
