They fail to understand that the lockdown isn't just about them. It's about staying safe to ensure that they don't infect people who may be vulnerable to the disease.

I meant to say that he said the death rate is lower before the lockdown meaning that the fatality rate is low so the lockdown should be lifted.

And I'm a fan of him as a businessman, but his personality isn't giving him the much help that is needed for his reelection.

I see you're a reasonable guy, so I'll be detailed to avoid misinterpretation.

The economy and saving lives are not different silos. Saving lives will save the economy, and saving the economy will save lives. The attempt to disentangle them is political not factual.

We have health workers, farmers, warehouse workers, truckers, and workers at grocers banding in concert to save lives. Their efforts are contributing to the economy.

I'd use hospitals as an example since I trained in health. Hospitals are currently bleeding money because of the lock down due to low patronage. If they don't get bailout like the airlines and other troubled firms around the states, they'd practically be unable to administer care to COVID patients. Oncologists and colleagues in radiotherapy are fearful of mortality and outcomes for cancer patients, because care and pre-screening has been nuked from orbit. That's my immediate sphere of expertise. I cannot begin to imagine the grim data surgeons, urologists, and GPs are looking at.

Needless to say, I'm solely focused on therapeutic impact. Loss of productivity. the toll on the family unit, and effect on the wider economy is on the counter because incoming data at the moment remains fuzzy.

Admittedly, people don't picture hospitals as economic behemoths, because Wall Street have given a bad rub to the word "economy." Still, hospitals are the largest employers in 16 states in America and they're currently furloughing staff. States like Penn are in an even more precarious position because Big Oil, another large employer, is taking a beating. Why? The Lock Down.

Everything is connected. Our current economy is not setup to take breaks. It's not like in medieval times where you lift the drawbridge when a foe marches on your city and wait out the assault.

When you make it an option to choose between saving lives from COVID-19 and the economy, you make it sound like both cannot be done at a time. In reality, you're actually asking Trump to play God. We entered the lock down to save the health care from collapse and to avoid a shortage of ventilators. Both objectives have been realized. Insisting on a strict lock down until testing is plentiful is tantamount to deciding some lives are more valuable than others.

The Imperial College of London established a correlation between an uptick in unemployment and cancer deaths during the Great Recession of 2008. Their estimate--around 260,000 extra cancer deaths. That's ONLY cancer. Currently, we're looking at unprecedented levels of unemployment and economic hardship that'd make the financial crisis seem like an orchestral dress rehearsal.

Keep the current lock down for months and there will not be an economy to return to or rebuild. And you may as well start building memorial monuments to the forgotten millions who'd die because a well-fed fellow with a secure job does not want to wear masks and gloves to work. People can complain about the 1% all the want, but the insensitive influential middle-class are the actual reptilians.

Do you really think if any of the 22 million newly unemployed people had a mansion in Bel-Air or a swanky apartment on 5th Avenue; they'd give a rat ars$ about the concerns of people yearning to return to work? They'd probably also be on the other side calling those who are opposed to indefinite lockdown #Covid*ots or #FloridaFools!

Furthermore, people think Trump pressing to reopen the economy is for political points. No, it isn't. It just so happens that whatever is good for America is good for him. It's that simple. He agreed to a shut down to prevent the predicted 2 million deaths figure. He's reopening the economy to prevent the Great Depression on steroids. Unfortunately, most people--and this is in general not specifically Americans--are outrageously uninformed about most basic things, including 2A and capitalism. They rely on media talking heads, activists, and pseudo-experts with their own agendas to dictate talking points.

Lastly, I'd accept criticism and objections from individuals who deliver same in good faith like yourself; not irrational TDS sufferers who'd latch on to anything to have a go at Trump. TESTING is their new rallying cry. Once upon a time it was FLATTENING THE CURVE and VENTILATORS. When testing is as much as they'd ever need, it'd become THERAPEUTIC CURE. If that's found, it'd become VACCINE. Anything to extend the economic fallout. They don't give a f*ck about saving lives.

Good thing is Georgia has reopened. As more states come online, the media will switch from coronavirus to another investigation or as Schiff calls it, a 911-style commission. And a truckload of anonymous reports about early warnings and cr*p even though Schumer and Pelosi received same Intelligence briefings and dismissed same for impeachment.

Here's the deal: TRUMP CAN'T WIN with the democrats. Dude could find the cure for cancer today and they'd complain that he's destroyed the livelihoods of oncologists and put cancer centers out of business.

As for my writing, it's a perk of managing a marketing agency targeting the US market.
