Bomboclad: That Ican man name Ambrose is good in writing long epistle. He lives on peoples money conducting seminar here and there from time to time. If I have good money for stock investment, why will I be writing long epistle instead of doing due diligence research on my investments. 9 Likes |

Mcy56: Good. I'm still waiting to confirm this. My initial impression was that I won't get the dividend. Meanwhile, the foregoing discourse points to a conclusion that the markdown date is the single most important date in terms of dividend qualification. Yea? So anyone who buys a day before the markdown is DEFINITELY getting the dividend and anyone who buys after, won't. 2 Likes |

Northeastern:Oga Northeastern, please stop this your indirect hurling of stones and subtle abuse at one of our invaluable torch bearers for the newbies. A perusal through thick of pages here shows that you have not really or indeed be beneficial to this forum except on the negative side of attacking other persons essays. I have never you seen you done analysis on any stock or recommend any stock except to others who do, eg mesh, now OGG. Abeg fine space and cool yourself with your economical and nothing-beneficial-for-the-forum 'MIT' Certificate. Please if you can't help others learn the ropes, please ignore us so that we can learn from ogas that are magnanimous enough to share their knowledge. And on this, I salute OGG, PA EMMA, ORACLE, REBEKAH, PROF etc. NB: OGA NORTHERN, I AM ONLY SAYING MY MIND and I don't mean to disrespect you as an 'elder'. 9 Likes 1 Share |

IYGEAL: Afriprud is the registrar to UBA. Their own may be you get dividend if you buy on the qualifying day and you dont get if you sell on the qualifying date. I will make a time to consult other registrars like Afriprud, first registrar etc on this dividend issue for more directions 1 Like |

onegentleguy: Bro, You have been on this UACN thing for close to 2 or 3 years now, since the era of Skying up the Caverton, when its price was in the N17/N18 range. How long should people hold out on optimism cos since then the price has not reached that level again. It dropped to sub N5 before rising to about N10 and then dropping again. Just this week you said you were going to rest the matter on UACN and here we go again..... 11 Likes 1 Share |

DrAwo: https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/exclusives/article/banks-fined-over-n600bn-as-cbn-hits-ldr-defaulters-again/amp/ "The sanction of N600 billion means that banks had a loan shortfall of around N1.2 trillion from the required value of loans that will have enabled them meet the 65 percent LDR policy. While the banks will not lose the money taken as sanctions, they will forfeit any interest they would have earned on the deposits. Analysts told BusinessDay that banks may be losing up to N6 billion monthly in interest income due to this December sanction." Some clarification from a previous similar exercise... 2 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: I don't think it has anything to do with either the government is broke or not. There is excess liquidity in the system which is not being channeled to productive use. Our banks are used to making easy money with t-bills and government bond. Is CBN doing the right thing? I sincerely dont know as that is really debatable. 2 Likes |

CashDiMkpa: You are correct... Its 1.4trillion that cbn debited... The 600billion article is from a precious similar action last year. My interest in posting that was just that the banks aren't losing the money debited.... Kasala for burst plenty plenty... |
