Wait oo.. seems like am not understanding something. The Us is in Afghanistan and Iraq to out an end to ISIS right?? And now we in Nigeria are at war with Boko Haram which are afflicted to ISIS. So if Us wants to end ISIS, what don't they help us and give us some of their toys to use and put and end to this war...by their toys I mean;
1) A10 Warthog
2) Humvees (they replaced Humvees with JTLV/MTV.
Support and logistics too..

I know they are reasons why this can't happen, can someone please explain or state them for me??.

You talk as if you are an authority. I was an active participant on Beeg's blog. It is a blog and not gospel. I didn't tell you they weren't stored at Makurdi Air Base just that they were stored out in the open without any protection from the elements and by the time the Indians inspected them, they were not fit for purpose. Do these photos look like they were crated?

Talking of disinformation, I can not think of anybody else so adept at it on this forum.

What a waste. Is there no way of us reactivating these beautiful birds? Same question goes for the BO-105 helicopters in storage in PHC.

The NAF, always spot on cool, I look on this with promise, it seems they have experience developing autonomous systems, it would interesting to see if this can be substantiated with the development of an indigenous auto-pilot system for the ichoku ucav, or future crafts, uavision's work with NAF on the tsaugaimi was entry level

Amaq Agency released a video showing an execution of a Chadian soldier, captured last week in an ambush between Litri and Ngouboua.

ISWAP is also trying to disprove the Chadian President's statement about them being dislodged from the country.
The terrorists claim to have killed four Chadian soldiers, captured a fifth after attacking two army boats between Ngouboua and Litri.

ISWAP's leaders have usually spoken classical (fusha) Arabic or Hausa in videos, tho in some videos like this one (unmaskingbokoharam.com/2019/04/10/isw…) Kanuri was used in pep talks; but the latest horrific murder video of a Chadian soldier was by a Chadian Arabic-speaking ISWAP commander.

Hmmn. If Uavision is entry level. I don't know what to call this new partners they got.
In other words, I hope the new guys are up to task. I have read development history of some countries drone programmes and they are very challenging and painstaking.

Knowing Nigeria and not having time for patience, let's hope they'll get all the time they need.

Also this means Tsaugaimi was just a farce?

For the Jaguars, no, unless you end up replacing practically every part. Better to have new aircraft. For the BO-105, I don't know what state they are in, but I suspect much the same as the Jags.

Tsaigumi has never been shown conducting reconnaissance since commissioning. I'll eat my hat if Ichoku is anything closer to reality than words they keep releasing.

Some of the drones able to do their work efficiently rely on IP, technology and patents we don't even seem to have access to. We could get there via R& D but takes significant money, years of experience and the best brains.

Uavision's work with the NAF was more of a capacity building engagement, I'm not sure they helped with work on the gulma, but they certainly worked on the tsaigumi, which is built on the same platform as the gulma, but major improvements on endurance though, how far their work together would go is left to be seen,but R & D is capital intensive as you said, so the NAF got their work cut out, maybe that's why the NAF eagle project was put on hold?

the a10 warthog is quite useless, no nato country requested for it, hence the lack of sales. when the a10 came out, many nato countries discovered that the dassualt alpha, jaquar jets and similar attack aircraft of the era were still equal or even at some point better. the a10 is just physically imposing and cannot even provide the close air support that attack helicopters do provide, in fact it has even been phased out by the the us military for multirole aircrafts. if you check well, the US does not even want single role aircrafts anymore. if nigeria had requested for a purchase, it would have been granted, but the tucano is a better option with newer avionics.

I reckon other than capacity building, it was just another typical Nigerian MOU/partnership gone bad. ATR 42 seems to be doing the bulk of reconnaissance when it can fly.

The airforce if serious should split their development programmes into a separate entity otherwise struggle for the little funds they have whilst fighting an insurgency.

@Toju200
The drones are surely more useful in the NE sector. Knowing the army, they like to gloat over their in house built hardwares. So I'm sceptical they actually work as intended.

the A10 was fashioned primarily as an anti-tank aircraft in conventional attack ops, if the A10 were that useful in COIN then why is the us switching from using them to tucanos in afgan. the A10 is useless not in the sense that it is a powerless aircraft, it simply has no major role for now. the tucano are better for COIN ops and easier to maintain.

As impressive as this new development maybe, I researched about this firm aronedelivery, and
I couldn't find enough materials and works to convince me that they truly deserve this job.

In my own opinion, I think NAF should start absorbing some pure talent like the one in this video

I stand to be corrected though because I don't know much in this area. Actually I haven't seen such talent with much dedication like this guy.

This is interesting. Kindly show me where I called you a liar in all our exchanges regarding above highlighted statement. I have never engaged you in the Tucano discussion. I think you are confusing me with somebody else.

I totally agree with the rest of your write-up about it being a waste to let the Jags rot.

Edit: At least one Jaguar jet was lost as a result of a crash in 1985.

https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/138072

Quite surprisingly irrespective of our different approaches you have at no time called me a LIAR.

That means that I am at fault alleging in my presumption that have you called me a liar and therefore I have to eat humble pie and apologize unreservedly.

This guys are M.I.T shocked, tdayof(I don't know his real name), also signed a R & D agreement with the Nigerian army forces, as far as I know, it didn't concretize, he finally moved to China, I read an article that a Chinese company bought intellectual rights, I can't seem to find it, I'm still looking
