I am from Ubulu-uku and am igbo. The problem we Anioma people have always had is that of being in the minority. We were almost invisible when we were part of the Eastern block and so we started the agitation for an Anioma state. Same happened when we were put together with Bendel and when we were merged with warri to form delta although they compensated us with state capital but the struggle for an Anioma state is very much alive. 8 Likes 1 Share |

ezenwajosh:because u won't face your tribe n d challenges u have but u care about other tribes. we read here everyday of how a guy from Anambra wasn't allowed to marry a girl from ebonyi cos they are considered less Igbo n we also read how a lady lost her relationship because she's an OSU...but u aren't concerned about that ur problem is that of Yoruba n Kwara... Theodore Orji paid himself security vote of 500 million monthly for 8 solid years thereby wreaking Abia n his antecessors did worse but u aren't concerned right if south east is burning u aren't concerned but your greatest pleasure is talking about d Yorubas...don't worry raining season is approaching, erosion will soon wash away your village 8 Likes 1 Share |

Aksnoopy:It's all politics. All it takes to get the loyalty and support of the igbo masses is just claim to be igbo or support igbo cause (like biafra), and they would be ready to die for you. It does not not matter whether you are Calabari, Ikwerre, Benin or even Yoruba. Ask Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan or Fani Kayode or even Fayose. In reality the Aniomas trace their roots from different sources, some trace their roots to Benin and so claim they are not igbos, while some trace their roots to Anambra and so claim to be igbos. 1 Like |

ezenwajosh:It's only kwarans that can answer the question and nobody else. If kwarans say they are Yorubas an igbo man has no right to say they are not, and if the kwarans say they are not Yorubas, no Yoruba man can say they are. Identity is personal. People can choose whatever identity they want to call themselves. 2 Likes |

JasonJidenna: Please, don't sound stupid no one is arguing about you being from South-South. If you don't mind let me educate you, just elementary there is a difference between Region and Tribe, Regions are political creations while tribes are your identity. There are regions with different tribes, Northcentral, for instance, has Yurobas, Ibos, and the South-South where you come from are not different. The topic is about tribe not region and if you said you are not Ibo you are not, I am not in a position to tell you who you are, or who you are not, but note that "Anioma" is not a tribe. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Yujin: Why do you feel bad that I just spoke the truth? On a good day, there's nothing to be ashamed of for strategizing and planning to make your future republic viable, But y'all have convinced yourselves that you have everything and don't need anyone. That you are self-sufficient. You see yourself as automatically superior to the other ethnicities in the Niger Delta. That's the reason for the wheeling and dealing, trying to co-opt people who don't want anything to do with you. Swallow the truth. It might be bitter, but it cures. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Osagyefo98: Onitsha Mmili was known as Ado N'Idu by migrants who departed from the vicinity of the Kingdom of Benin near the far western portion of Igboland (near what is now Agbor), after a violent dispute with the Oba of Benin that can be tentatively dated to the early 16th-century. These migrants traveled eastward through what is now Western Igboland and various towns also called "Onitsha", for example Onicha-Ugbo, "farmland-Onitsha". Folklore has it that, Onitsha was founded by one of the sons of Chima, the founder of Issele-Uku Kingdom in western Igboland. Chima, a prince who emigrated, settled and founded what is now known as Issele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area. The eldest son of Chima eventually emigrated across the Niger River to establish the Onitsha community. 2 Likes |

FrLukas:It's not my fault that you're poor in Igbo history. Igbos from Delta state have been so from time immemorial until your evil government started to balkanize our land for their selfish reasons. We will reunite with our people in other SS states too to your disappointment. It's just natural to do. You see a move to gain oil and access to sea, we see reunion from the wicked works of our enemies. Our enemies can't define our boundaries... We will. So shut up and learn something you have no idea about. 11 Likes 2 Shares |
