The skillful ones like Torres, Vidic faced them when they're both on the pitch. The ones that are strong like Drogba, Vidic faced them too. Ferdinard was very good, paired excellently with Vidic. Just as you bring up Torres, don't forget to mention Ayegbeni. That Vidic was always ready to put himself on the line is enough reason to rate him slightly better.
