The compliance level is very low and that's because Govt are clueless...it was tight on the first 5 days of the lockdown, but afterwards the whole thing was messed up. Even those who do not belong to the essential category like food sellers and health workers were seen displaying wares at the market.... When you asked, they'll resolved to emotional blackmail on how the government has neglected them.... But my question is before now, have the government cater for them in any way?? Na we dey do ourselves

@MansoryMX

How many times shall we tell you guys that Nigeria's case is peculiar

Focus on the number of deaths!

How many confirmed cases lead to death

How many are successfully discharged everyday compared to the number that die

Confirmed cases may be well up to 1 million! angry

MOST of the confirmed cases will recover with little or no treatment!! There is no cause for alarm at all!!!

Oga! What has d lockdown done? The case keep increasing, to hell with lockdown.
It is one of the effective ways to tackle the virus it is because some Nigerians are lawless that is why there are still cases imagine people are still doing interstate travel at night. The lockdown has reduced the numbers ease it and it will skyrocket it is the stubborness of some people that is why it seems like the efforts being made is a waste

wait o...I almost forgot, are they still in Nigeria?
well, we're not seeing or hearing anything from them sef, hence, forgetting their presence in the country.

We've not seen any report from cross River and kogi states. I understand Kogi uses app for their testing.

huuumm make dem still use style show Nigerians the isolation center with the patients in it now. Other countries did it. If this is done it's going to increase the level of seriousness of compliance of Nigerians. When they see people struggling for breath even with ventilators on they will know it's a serious issue

What ventilators are u talking about ??. It's either the facilities are not up to standard: lacking the necessary modern health care Equipments etc or the health care delivery/ practice is not optimal..Otherwise ,trust Nigerians, the media and naija politicains ,they wud have politicise it and shown off.
Don't be surprised some patients wud be on the floor receiving treatment. There might be no CPR machine ,no patient monitor not to talk of ventilator. At this point Lagos alone should be boasting of @ least 10 isolation centres with a capacity of @ least 500 beds having all modern day equipments.
Nigeria is just haphazard is her ways: the politicians donating monies to the FG know exactly what they are doing. While I commend their efforts, their intentions are not far fetched from any critically thinking mind.
It's just like those politicians that sponsor campaigns and elections : those monies donated would translate to contracts, policies that would favour their businesses and probably tax evasion.
Why give the FG monies directly knowing fully well how the monies/ donations wud end up in private pockets, distributed among the poorest of the poor( the core North) ? Why didn't they buy the necessary relief/ medical items and give the worse hit states ?? . Naija, I hail thee.
If the minister of health could tell a group of house rep committee set up for CoVid and the whole Nigerians on national TV that he was not aware of the paltry money meant for hazard allowance of front line health workers, then that sums it up. The whole thing is a joke to them. This is a doctor, who @ a time in his career have passed Tru hosemanship, residency before seeing a consultant, so how wud he not be aware of hazard allowance paid to health workers ?? To us everything is politics. I pray we get it right someday as a nation.

This is apt sir cool
Investnow2017:
For weeks, instead of preparing adequately, the Brazilian president kept saying Covid-19 was AUDIO, SCAM, bla bla bla. Today they recorded the highest figures ever: over 6,000 new cases and 520 deaths. They now battle with caring for over 72,000 Covid-19 patients!

Russia the same. Now even their secret nuclear outpost is severely threatened by Covid-19. You don't gamble with any pandemic. That is the irrefutable lesson of history.

The resources meant to upgrade lives through targeted healthcare projects are wasted on producing needless military assets. Going forward there will be no 3rd world war that would require the use of such munitions. Reason that the world cannot survive the onslaught of today's arsenal.

Some people think the lockdown did not work. The lockdown was meant to slow the spread of the virus, which I believe has really worked, otherwise, by now with the population of the Nigeria, we would be hearing death figures in thousands. Lifting the lockdown now is like Government saying, we are tired, now every man for himself.
As we go out from Monday, people shld choose what they believe. If you think the virus is a scam, you will soon find out. Remember Donald Trump initially called it a hoax, now he is blaming China for not telling him on time how deadly the virus was.

So what people do here bothers you so much that you can see d danger ahead, more people getting busy in reality the higher the chances of you and i getting infected. regardless of pre cautions there will alway be a mistake, just one person mistake is enough.

Nobody is showing you any pictures and nobody is asking you to believe.
Just avoid every precautions as given by NCDC so you can contract the virus and sent to an isolation centre and you can see everything you want live and direct.

Government should try and provide a testing center for each state rather than some state taking their sample to other state for testing.

The north needs education and enlightenment at this early stage, if not it will be worst than polio that ravaged that region some years back.

You cannot impose Western education on them

Death is coming for us all. If America has close to 60,000 deaths as of today, what's the hope for Nigeria. The only way to slow down this is for shut down not to be lifted.

Transportation in Lagos is a death trap. Market is a death trap. Hospital is a death trap. ATM machine is a death trap. There are millions of ways to catch this and there is only one way to survive if you are lucky......An immune system that can fight this.
an immune system that is adequately nourished not the one that is being ravaged by hunger...its a very precarious position, you go out, you can get infected, you stay in with hunger, your immune system fails then you get infected...
