Why is it that most people don't use brain to analyze things? Corona has 14 days to manifest in carriers. Lagos has been on lockdown for a month+, meaning the virus spread during the lockdown and is still spreading but majority of infected are not showing symptoms. If you have elderly ones keep them indoors and boost their immune system, otherwise, people who aren't showing symptoms should be allowed to seek for their daily bread while observing hygiene, social distancing and wearing face mask. Keeping asymptomatic people hungry is more catastrophic in the long run because they will break down.

Coronavirus does not really take 14days to manifest, but between 2-14 days depending on one's immune system, level of exposure, general body system etc.

huuumm make dem still use style show Nigerians the isolation center with the patients in it now. Other countries did it. If this is done it's going to increase the level of seriousness of compliance of Nigerians. When they see people struggling for breath even with ventilators on they will know it's a serious issue

Knowing how Nigerians love to stigmatize people. ?

My main fear is Up North. With that their "i don't care" mentality, coupled with the way they commute and habitate,i just feel sorry for this our nation because we could be the worst hit country.
All the nations of the world will send their doctors and it will not be enough.
The north needs education and enlightenment at this early stage, if not it will be worst than polio that ravaged that region some years back.
forget North for now Lagos even worst in terms of transportation (danfo)and the other bus called LT almost 32 passengers at a time, five passengers in each roll then talking about Lagos market Eko idumonta for example haaaa my God, only God can deliver us the lockdown suppose to be in place but hunger is another deadly force;go and look at what is trending on twitter now#tagcontinuelockdown;we are really confused people.

. It gives me a lot of concern to see the spread of Covid 19 in Nigeria..I am of the opinion that it will still spread like a wild fire in this country..The PMB should jhave locked the country down again for additional two weeks but the state governors disagreed with him. They disagreed because they did not want to spend money they have on this emergency. They wanted the president to give them money for the lock down..He however asked the governors to adopt what they like in their states. Many Nigerians want to go out because there is no meaningful palliatives for them...They have been abandoned by the politicians and our leaders Covid 19 is now increasing in Oyo and other states in Nigeria. If we think it is over we are DECEIVING ourselves..Nigeria may regret lack of will to fight it logically by locking down the whole country for a week or two and giving citizens robust palliatives. We should have learned a lesson in Spanish Influenza of 1916 to 1918..

The chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, deceived Nigerians. Could you believe the same Fayemi that announced the need to end the lockdown all over the nation has just declared a one week lockdown in a state (Ekiti) with only 8 cases? Not just that, Fayemi has also declared a lockdown on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning from May 4th.

Transportation in Lagos is a death trap. Market is a death trap. Hospital is a death trap. ATM machine is a death trap. There are millions of ways to catch this and there is only one way to survive if you are lucky......An immune system that can fight this.

My thoughts exactly , how on earth can they prevent catching the virus in a danfo bus that packs people like they are not humans, the conductor shouting and donating the virus free . Now that they have lifted the lock down , the worker that usually leaves home 5:30 am to rush to work and come back home 11:00pm due to traffic now gets infected unfortunately and brings it home transmitting to the granny and children.

But nobody has forced you to go out.

It's a matter of choice between life and death.

If lockdown is relaxed, anyone can choose to stay home or go out.

If some people stay home, they will still die of hunger but you can stay home if you can afford it.

Your assertion is nice.

However I support that the lock continue to mitigate the spread of the virus. Because the more you have infected person, the more virus related death would be recorded even though it might be in low proportion.

God bless Nigeria!!!

How many times shall we tell you guys that Nigeria's case is peculiar

Focus on the number of deaths!

How many confirmed cases lead to death

How many are successfully discharged everyday compared to the number that die

Confirmed cases may be well up to 1 million! angry

MOST of the confirmed cases will recover with little or no treatment!! There is no cause for alarm at all!!!

The issue is that you go out come back and infect the remaining at home or the innocent children in the house.

My dear, I know hunger is not easy, but t it is more easier to handle a hungry family than a sick family.

I will advise that the lockdown in FCT should be extended to two more weeks. The officials there are really doing great work but the police is really sabotaging all the efforts there especially those ones at abuja-nasarawa border (checking point junction).

Last night, they almost let the whole of mararaba back into abuja all in the name of bribe.

Just earlier today somebody talked about hypocrites like this person I'm quoting. Thousands of people, the so called educated people were crowding up around with no face masks in the south . Of course, your bigoted eyes will not see that one. You are more interested in the North. That "fear " of yours is nothing but hope. You want millions in the North to get infected. Trust me, I know people like you
You know nothing about me.
Let's look at it very well, which region is the worst hit in terms of poverty, hunger, sickness, insecurity, child labour, uneducation, child marriage, etc.
Open your eyes to reality to the fact that ignorance is a deadly illness.keep insulting people in social media.
It's your type that will educate their kids in the best western schools secretly and condemn western education in public, continue.
And don't mention me again because i won't respond, Asalam maleku.

an immune system that is adequately nourished not the one that is being ravaged by hunger...its a very precarious position, you go out, you can get infected, you stay in with hunger, your immune system fails then you get infected...

Even if the lockdown stays for 6 months the virus will still escalate whenever the lockdown is lifted. The earlier people realise lockdown doesn't solve anything the better. It's only a temporary shelter. We will still come out and face the monster eventually.
