Arsenal players agree to a 12.5% pay cut with hope of getting it back if they reach CL next season.

Nice one.

I really do not understand Ozil's mentality. He seems cool as a person on the surface, but his actions in recent past has shown he's far from that person we picture him to be.

First was his controversial friendship with Edorgan and his kinda beef with Germany ; not singing national anthem etc.

Then that his religious views and his comments causing the China issues.

I hope he's not all these extremist/radicals sha

As much as I love and have defended him, this is good radiance. We need to move on from Ozil and many others after this season, that has been my position. I hope a concrete offer comes from China.

Me too. Let's just build the team around younger and fresh talents. He seem to have been sulking for a while which I don't think is good for team spirit

China ke? The man is basically persona non grata there after the outrage over his comments on the treatment of a certain group of Muslims in China. Any club signing him will be committing PR suicide. Ozil sef no go wan go there.

The US is a more likely option. I hear he has business interests in America and he is also looking to grow his brand. Zlatan has left and there is a gap in the MLS for another big name player from Europe. I think he should move if a decent offer comes in.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Jodera: 4:17pm On Apr 22, 2020
Well, I think the talks is still underway. Mind you, it isn't only ozil that refused wage cut. I heard they're 3, but somehow, it's only ozil's own that's brandished everywhere.
Well, aside that, I just need a 10 that can create, as well as score goals. So it's still better for the team if ozil is moved on...
It's really appalling how our midfield have such a paltry goal contribution this season. It's so sad.

Baba, you are right oh, I completely forgot his China debacle. The best destination would have to the MLS. There were rumors of DC United earlier in the year but I think that has cooled off. I love Ozil dearly but its time to move on from Arsenal, however, if he stays, we have to find ways to use his quality to improve our team.

France has cancelled the top leagues for this season. There's not been any statement yet on whether a winner would be declared or whether there will be promotion and relegation. But the possibilities favours a no winner situation.

Many countries may adopt the same policy in which UEFA will request for nominees for CL next season.

I hope we are lucky enough to get nominated. Especially if Man City's ban would be upheld.

That would give us a big chance to revive our club by making big signings as most clubs are facing serious financial crisis and would be willing to offload high earners or just sell of stars to coup funds.

Na Liverpool e go pain pass. Don't know what PL will do, but who cares?

I’ve always opined the league be canceled and we start afresh.

With Arteta, we can convert to draws to wins and be in a respectable position on the league table.

OK... So Dutch league have been cancelled, and it's declared null and void

French league have been cancelled and PSG is crowned champions

Liverpool must be crowned champions or else they will have to wait for another twenty years to compete for the league. I think the wise thing for the FA is to end the league like that.

lol... Nobody get the right to sue Liverpool for England.
Except if they did relegation, then those guys can sue. Aside that, make we just jejely leave Liverpool to their trophy

I really don't see Liverpool repeating that form this coming season if the FA deny them the league. Let's watch and see!

Na so people think Barca will be winning Champions league every year till Messi retires. Look at Barca now.

With time loserpool will become a normal team that loses just like man city is doing this year

not saying they might do unbeaten or all those stuff, but to go another 20yrs without again from now without winning league, with this present crop of players. I don't see that happening..

OK... Let's exclude 2009 where barca was utterly dominant with messi at the helm. I believe it's from there people will feel barca will carry champions league. Check post 2009 till now, they've carried 2 champions league right? And that's my point. It's not as if these Liverpool players are old or aren't in their peak, they're young, and thinking this young hungry guys won't carry another league again is really underrating them (not saying they'll carry next season, if this season is voided). They might not carry next season, but within the next 5yrs, with this crop of players, I see them carrying a league title. The motivation is still there tbh

Oga just let Mane Mane to real Madrid and maybe their keeper moves to Bayern or any other big spender and u will have them struggling like barca ever since the MSN was disbanded.

This loserpool that couldn't even make it past Round of 16...... grin.

Forget! If loserpool lose the league, they will most likely not attain this top level again. They won't whip everybody and stroll to the league like they are doing this year. Other top teams will buy players and pose more competition. There's Newcastle trying to rebuild and cause upset.....there's a resurgent arsenal under Arteta hoping to build on the little on ground.

It won't be business as usual for loserpool firing 3 goals past anybody any more. They were lucky with injury this season, it won't always be so. Injury to key Players like Mane, Van Djik, Allison, Wijnaldum will have its toll on them.

Hmmm... You think if Mane is going to Madrid, they won't have a ready replacement or tweak their system not to balance the loss of mane? Of all their players sef, I think it's only mane that'll be likely to move in any club is interested, and since Liverpool isn't a small club, they can easily replace him(probably not with same quality but similar, or changing of system).
Also, the Newcastle of the rich owners, while there's high possibility that'll carry league if things go well, but it'll take at least 3 yrs. Even arsenal sef, with our financial situation might take us longer time before we'll think of league.
Now I'm not saying Liverpool might be this strong again just as they did this present season (losing a match throughout, a scoring plenty goals on average), no. What I'm saying is, they'll be strong enough to win a league title in the next 3-4yrs since most of their players are young, and there's always a possibility of even adding new signings too.
Lol, talking about champions league? That's a knockout competition, anybody can be knocked out, and it's not as if athletico are pushovers too.
Well, we'll watch as it pans out tho, but I believe with this crop of core players and coach, Liverpool will see at least a league, within the next 3-5yrs
