The major challenge you will have will be how to transfer money to them or pay money into the dollar mutual fund account.

aside from the fire risk...very nice and real enterprise,the demand is there , more people keying in including araka seller ....segegrate for market well ,do home deliveries , use tech to make sale etc ....

I want to set it up in a mobile way(home delivery) in Abuja using the required storage moving tank but I've little idea in the biz so i need mentors(people already in the line of business). I studied chemical engineering so I've the knowledge and i can easily read to acquire more knowledge. Fund's is not a problem and I'm also open to partnership cause
1)I stay in lag and I've not been to Abuja before but as soon as the pandemic is over that's where I'm going to base.
2)I'm still in active pursuit of my career so I'm not sure i can give my full attention to the biz so it will be nice if a partner is involved.

Very nice one. There are lots of threads on Nairaland already that discussed it. It's a nice business. In addition, try and get electric air pump in passing the gas to cylinder. It aids faster transfer of gas, like 2 mins, you are done filling 20kg of gas. It also prevent lost of gas. Also, try and get this small Suzuki bus, they call them korope as well. Have a fixed gas filled cylinder there. If any customer calls for home delivery, you can quickly drive down to go sell to them. All the very best.

i have not run the bus but my oga ultimate gas is a leader and the chairman in Nigeria ...he started in 1987...my hands are already full ,i have several partnerships including a mega station and trucks (saturation )

Didnt I read something early this year about legislation to regulate cooking gas dispensing? This was after the catastrophe in Lagos.

May bear checking out as well if planning to set this up.

I did but many of the stanbic bank staff don't have broad knowledge about fg bonds, I will try to contact the platinum surport team ukay2 suggested and see how it goes this time. N getting tenure less 2 years will be fantastic.

uyo…..nice place, visited and loved the place. so for the gas matter, I have a friend who runs the business, I always wondered how he made profit if he buys from the same place like everyone else. i mean the big gas plants...….when i pressed him he told me that his major source is from "bush market", there they get it very cheap.

what is bush market i asked and he said , they get the contact of bulb tail truck drivers and buy their leftovers. He said they always have, just like our fuel tanker drivers will always short our product, those drivers find a way to reserve gas.

so ,if u can , u may find this source to compliment other more legitimate sources.

then the last i checked, u could get those mini gas plants for as low as 5m, depending on the size of the tank and the system of operation(manual/automatic)..

that not a reliable and lasting source....there must be a margin from bulk dealer to the retailer....any time i refill from major depot compared to Neigbourhood retailers a 400 naira per 12.5 kg is there
