Shout out to enochogaga for opening this thread. And thanks to Suco01 for keeping the thread alive. This guy even went out of his way to attend to me both on Nairaland and WhatsApp. Happy new month to both of you.

The Tec I found were way too big and costs over 130k since they were Electric start. Got the 3.5KVA on Lutian. Thanks for your suggestions. I learnt a lot.

The kva of the gen? Though is very possible is the govnor, cos the is the one that controls the speed(firing) of a gen

First it need to be set from outside first if the govnor is still not working properly then u think of changing it

I bought a Tec Max junior 5 months ago, it work has been very ok and fuel consumption is highly economical. Yesterday, I noticed change in sound, when I checked it, I discovered there's oil linkage under the generator and the air filter is soaked with mixture of fuel and engine oil, it's also making alot of noise now, please how can I fix the problem?

call your engineer to check for

carbonated/soaked plug
worm piston
positive crankcase ventilation

Is the noise from the engine or the coil side?

Make sure the gen speed is low, and tight the fuel consumption screw[/quote) it's only firing screw it has , & have lower the the firing screw to the extent the volmeter display between 200 to 204, no fuel consumption screw for thermocool bobo max, hope is not my 200ltres fridge consuming d fuel?

oga Kenny he's right...the full copper coil is around 15k and since you av changed the Avr still no improvement then change the coil, don't let them recoil for u...from the picture the coil don rub finish that's why it can't produce enough power . Regards bros

I got a Tec junior 2 months old and i noticed that when the gen is running for some minutes, therr will be a power surge, the current will increase and then return to normal....

Imagine the gen running and then it hums loudly, then the light increases for a second and everything returns to normal

Let me say it in another way.

Imagine a car been warmed up , the car will be fired like voom voom voom.... Like that

So the gen is running for some minutes and then its as is the engine is fired and it goes voooom for a second, the light current increases for a second and it retuns back to normal

Whats going on..

I,m only using a big orl fan, 100 watts bulb, 32 inches TV, laptop... thats all

Hello,

Trying to make a choice between Firman SPG2200 and ECO 1990s (both 1.8kva).

Any advice on a preference.
Major expected load is the water pumping machine (1.5hp) and a kitchen freezer though usually don't turn both on same time.
