Nobody dispute that. For some analysis - it make sense to compare sub-regions. Africa, Sub-Sahara, Magreb, Southern Africa, East Africa.

So Kenya is the largest economy in Eastern africa
Kenya is the 3rd largest economy in Sub-sahara africa.
Kenya is the 6th largest economy in Africa.

You're getting scared before we get to 2030 - when Kenya will start breathing down you neck.

You're in a middle-class trap that you are not even aware of - and have no SOLUTION out of it.

You're becoming childish. Kenya is the 3rd biggest economy in Sub-Sahara Africa. You can go fight everyone who uses SSA in their analysis for that reason. And yes it's 6th biggest - in Africa. 5yrs ago - Kenya was not even in top 10.

You are a liar..I have showed you twice world bank recent report from last month and they said the top three largest economies in sub Saharan is Nigeria, south Africa, Angola grin

Kenya overtook Angola last year. Please update yourself. Angola is a little Oil economy. It's like Venezuela. Or Libya. Or Nigeria. Those once are bound to collapse and rise with OIL prices.

Angola right now is six feet under. Luanda the same. Nothing is moving there. You can go there if you want to see what is coming to your shores.

Rehabilitation and expansion of major road network connection, utilizing asphalt recycling methodology
Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road
-(God Bless Nigeria )

To address the poor condition and deterioration of this priority road, Julius Berger is contracted to rehabilitate and reconstruct 375.9 km of the Dual Carriageway: From the Federal Capital Territory Abuja through Kaduna, excluding the Kaduna bypass, on to Zaria and further north to Kano.

To deliver a value-driven solution, Julius Berger is constructing the 3 road sections simultaneously and has pioneered the use of innovative cold recycling methodology. The efficient and environmentally friendly solution results in complete rehabilitation by way of recycling the milled-off pavement to produce a bitumen stabilized material, which is then utilized for paving the base course layer of the new road. This methodology has numerous benefits. The new road will have an increased bearing capacity, compared to the previous pavement constructed with granular base course, leading to an extended lifespan, it is environmentally friendly and helps to conserve natural resources, considering the reduced need for new material to be mined / damaged asphalt to be dumped, and furthermore, construction traffic is greatly reduced compared to conventional methods, meaning fewer heavy load bearing trucks on the road, reducing road congestion and diminishing the burden on the livelihood of the surrounding communities.

I love this asphalt recycling methodology..it will last longer

Nope. Kenya and Ghana are both tied (before CEDIS collapse) at around 2,000USD per capita. That put them at lower middle-income country. The threshold for that is merely 1,050 or about USD. The next barrier is to get where South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and others are...

Kenya will need to double it's nominal GDP to get to next stage - to get 4,000 - and I believe this will happen within this decade.

And if we grow like we have done - by 2030 - we could be well about 5,000-6,000.

As for South Africa - you're STUCK STUCK STUCK TRAPPED TRAPPED WAITING WAITING for kenya to overtake you. You cannot move forwad. You're in a middle class trap.

World Bank definition for categories economies....
Low-income economies are defined as those with a GNI per capita, calculated using the World Bank Atlas method, of $1,025 or less in 2018;
lower middle-income economies are those with a GNI per capita between $1,026 and $3,995
; upper middle-income economies are great - about 4,000 dollars

Hahahaha rvp by now you should know I am the last person on this thread to ever tolerate your cheap lies... honestly I wonder why you lie alot..would your lies automatically make Kenya overtake Angola in reality...if you overtook Angola last year then world bank report from just last month would have indicated that..rmbr that was April and they have reviewed all economic data from last year....infact I remember vividly how you started screaming this stupid lie to your fellow country after the Q1 of 2019...lol once again right from the anus of world bank..Argue that now

Look at angola look at kenya, look what angola did after civil war decimated it

2002 to 2020, compare with kenya

Oil is an essential, prices will pick up soon or later as lockdown measures are eased, demand will rise

You're hiding behind little IMF colony that cannot manage it's macro-economics - depends on oil/gold - against Africa's largest non-mineral economy - Kenya.

The world economy will recover no doubt - South Africa will be one of the worst-hit - because already it was contracting at negative 1%.

The estimate are you'll contract by as much as 6% - in addition to Rand that is world worst at 25% depreciation so far - so let's say at end of the year - Egypt and even Algeria might overtake South Africa.

You're getting hit the worst time - stop dreaming of reviving South Africa Airways - it's DEAD As dodo - wrong time to die. ESKOM is where you need to figure out how to clean it's balance sheet. 32B dollars debt is Kenya total external debt.

And btw Kenya - and South Africa - will be the little phosphorous desert of Morocco.

I never doubt GDP of South Africa or the rest. ONLY NIGERIA GDP is totally cooked. Starting with 80-100B dollar agricluture sector. Totally baked. South Africa is Africa biggest economy - followed by Egypt - and btw Algeria and Nigeria - you can squabble.

South Africa now is 3-4 times larger than Kenya in most things. Their GDP totally make sense.

Nigeria is a joke. I checked total cargo throughput 1.8M - (like all your 10 ports) - Mombasa is doing 1.4m.

Nigeria GDP IS OVERCOOKED. South Africa will be leading economy until Egypt overtake her soon.

Angola clay feet gave way. It was a little oil-based economy like Nigeria. That doesn't look. Angola kwach has totally collapsed. Now even Tanzania, Ethiopia and Ghana have overtaken it. They are back to where they came from.

In fact - I was checking their Port of Luanda - I knew they were competing with Mombasa (Nigeria ports are down and out) - and Port of Luanda also totally COLLAPSED - no ships coming - the country is broke.

And that was before COVID and OIL Collapse.

Angola will become Sudan....KAPUT.

Nigeria GDP is really not WORTHY of any serious debate.

Lol you are now throwing tantrums like some silly teenage girl in her menstral period grin...talk is very cheap rvp...the long and short of your noise is that Angola as of today is still higher than Kenya despite having half of Kenyans population (I know you feel inferior as a Kenyan seeing that singular fact)...now read world bank report again..

IMF and WB have done the maths. The debt market - South Africa debt is now JUNK. Currency market - the Rand has overtaken Turkey Lira in depreciation. Down 25% against the dollar. The economy is set to contract by whopping-6%.

South Africa GDP by end of this year is estimated to be about 250-270B dollars.

It very interesting when dumb people call other dumb. PLEEEEEEEEEEase nigga. Get some education. At least on your country.

South Africa should copy Kenya education - you only excel in universities because you can attract Africa student and academia- but not for long. Your basic education is BASICALLY CRAP.

One of main reasons you're in the middle class trap - and will be stuck there - is LOW-QUALITY EDUCATION - that cannot produce the next generation of workers.

Countries that escaped to developed world like Chile, Singapore, Hongkong, South Korea, Isreal - are anal about basic education and watch PISA test results like a hawk.

Says a citizen of Zoogeria who have earned 1 trillion dollars from OIL and has ABSOLUTELY nothing to show for it.

Look for other OPEC members and see what they have done....and find out WHAT HELL IS WRONG WITH YOUR PEOPLE.

Kenya has done well - by bootstrapping the little resources, working incredibly hard, and for you to denigrate us - when you cannot manage all that OIL- is the usual MADNESS.

All you need to be rich is simple - manage your oil. YOU cannot manage a NATURAL RESOURCE as easy as OIL and you want to say Nigeria and its citizen are HUMAN BEINGS? - you're nothing but a ZOO - and you're a sub-human.

Kenya has no such luxuries - whatever we have - we had to sweat for it. That includes even the whites, Indians, name them in Kenya. Nobody is out there just sitting on their idle lazy ar.se waiting for oil to be pumped.

And because you're so incapable and sub-human - you think Indians, Asians, Whites - have something SPECIAL - that you don't - they don't. They only use their brains and work hard.

Samorobo already took you to the cleaners on this your trashy angry rejoinder. So I will let it slide. grin

There is no servitude to Indians in Kenya. We are extremely lucky in Kenya because we got the most successfully Indian group - the Gujaratis as our citizens - and they have shown many Kenyan Africans how to get stuff done. The indians have taught us how to start business from a desert - and Kenya is far ahead thanks to us - understudying and overtaking Indians. We have done this in nearly all sector of the economy and now - black kenyan industries are competing seriously.

You have to understand kenyan indians are probably amongst the most successfully indians in diaspora.

To get ahead and become a modern country - you have to be humble - and learn from whites, indians, asians - and that is what we do.

But to get someone to steal your natural resources like you guys do is INSANITY.
