It should be called an "X" program.To build an experimental sub,or technological platform for capacity/capability building.It doesn't matter how crude, it should be a development project that could one day turn into a training sub.A few hundred million naira for a sub that can taken down maybe a crew of 6-10.

US Navy awards Frigate contract to Fincantieri.


Fincantieri was awarded a $795 mil US Navy contract for detail design & construction of the first ship at its Marinette shipyard in Wisconsin. Options for up to 10 ships could make the contract worth up to $5.6 billion. Fincantieri was competing with a frigate design based on the Italian Navy's FREMM frigate.

This is one of the very few times the US has awarded a Ship contract to a foreign country (Italy)

All 10 ships will be built in the US.


- Aegis Baseline 10
- 16 Naval Strike Missiles
- 32 VLS with Maritime Strike Tomahawk, SM-6, ESSM, etc
- SEWIP Block 2/3 EW suites

The US navy classifies this ship as a Small Surface Combatant. grin grin grin

What an incredible Navy they have.

I can't per say. What my assumption is based on is my entry on the other thread in December. The CNS will not give out a model of a frigate to a dignitary if there isn't a vested interest. See link below.

The VT4 is a modern and sophisticated design incorporating ERA ,hunter killer ability, battlefield management system , and a higher caliber of 125 mm.

It might just be the best Tank in Africa at the moment.

They are using steyr ssg 69 rifles....and till now, is still one of the best rifles in the world.

Here you come again, where did you see a “Carl Gustaf m41b” sniper. Those NA snipers are wielding steyr sniper rifle.
I agree with you that’s its old riffle, yet deadly in the right hands. The NA authority can upgrade the bulk of this riffle with modern scopes and bipod stand.

Now the first picture is your Carl Gustaf blabla........

While second and third pictures are both steyr riffles.
