I hope we can find one maga EPL club that will take this Tolisso off our books. This is literally the only ninja that can get injured during isolation. There is no sensible explanation for keeping him beyond this season

I wonder who would go down as the bigger flop between Breno, Renato and him in recent times

I tire for the guy

How you go get 3 months injury while in isolation. The way its looking he might be injured through the transfer window sef and we might not be able to sell

Nah. He actually picked up the injury on the first day of training. I didn't know it was going to be this serious. I kinda feel for the guy. He has been unlucky with injuries and has not really had the chance to cement his place a the club. There is nothing wrong with selling him for the right price as there is also Goretzka but that would leave us short on quality in midfield. Martinez is probably leaving at the end of the season and Cuisance isn't ready yet so i think he should stay. After all we've a good history of persevering and getting the best out of crocks grin

I knew you were going to post this grin grin There is another meme-worthy pic of Rafinha trying to acrobatically clear the ball off the line after Messi chipped Neuer. That one looked very much like the Bundesliga logo grin

That game pain me sha. We held our own against Barca for over 70 mins without Alaba and Robbery. Even Lewy had to wear a mask after suffering facial fracture. Messi's ingenuity was what decided that game.

It was as if Messi used voodoo on Boathand. That moment was magical.

Even when he was fit. I can't point to 3 big games and say Tolisso was one of our best performers. Can't point to any aspect of midfield play and say he is exceptional at that. O to ge tbvh

Non contact injury. So he might as well have been injured during isolation

Tolisso to me is just too average. He has to go. Decent midfield players shouldn't cost a fortune especially in this post Corona environment. I've not seen anything from Tolisso that can make one overlook his permacrock state

Funny enough i'm not expecting much from the boys. This is the one time they can play rubbish and get away with it. Nevertheless, i know they will give their best, even under these difficult circumstances.

R. Guerrero makes it 2 for BVB.. That finishing was clinical.

Has Leipzig and Naggelsman lost the earlier mojo?

It’s only half time and they are playing at home, I expect them to approach the 2nd half differently. With that being said the constant rumors surrounding T. Werner pre-COVID and his Bayern comments can be a distraction. For some reason, Naggelsman’s hype has dropped a little bit.

I still think the entire Leipzig team need to stay together for 1 more season its still too early for all of them Naggelsman Werner Upamecano etc to dine at the biggest stage.

They had a brilliant tactic early in the season but other teams started preparing differently for them and sitting back for them

Its now left for Leipzig to show something different

Their domestic form since January is horrible

If you ask, I would suggest the opposite because I think it is time for all 3 actors to leave. Their decline started after the January transfer window closed and that was too much distraction for the team.
Leipzig’s rise to prominence with regard to this particular team was hinged primarily on the anonymousity of the players and coach who played aggressive attacking football. I think it’s time to cash in on all 3 actors and move on.

For Naggelsman this is his first season at Leipzig where can he go from here, the caliber of clubs the main actors are looking to move to are not those that will allow you time to settle down, they will demand performance weekly from day 1

Are these folks matured enough to handle those type of demands?

Werner has been on a kind of goal drought since January at a top club he will be on the bench. Naggelsman on this type of form will have papers writing articles about him getting sacked daily

We have seen people in those instances that wilted at a big club and their careers tanked we saw AVB, Koeman, Lopetegui even Kovac was doing well at Frankfurt

Naggelsman has good ideas but he needs to take his time, he is just 33yrs

Werner I think he only thrives in a counter attacking system where he can use his pace with acres of space, his close control and dribbling are not elite. He can work in a Klopp system but not other top clubs that have to play against deep sitting defenses.
There is a reason Bayern is going for Sane who cost way more than Werner

Is Sancho lacking match fitness or what?

From his cameo, he was not very sharp.

Julian Brandt was impressive for me. Raphael Guerrero was nice with the attacking runs.

But my God. . .Schalke are so shit grin

While Naggelsman is new to Leipzig, he is not new to coaching in the Bundesliga and I believe his experience and exploits are enough for him to move on to a bigger role. Kovac moves from Frankfurt to Bayern and it became overwhelming considering the jump. Nagglesman has had the experience of coaching Hoffeinhiam for 3 years before joining Leipzig. I am not saying a Madrid type job but something in between that.

This Marcus Thuram with his size if properly uilized can become a problem for defenders

So what will be a good sized club for him to join, know that joining a wrong club can ruin him

Arsenal (If we did not have Arteta and he was one of preferred choices when the position was vacant)
Spuds
Everton (when the position was vacant)
AcMilan
Napoli
Roma
PSV/ Ajax
He needs to move on to another club where the organizational structure is bigger than what Leipzig can offer without necessarily risking his development as a manager.
Arteta, Lampard, Ole, Inzaghi, Gattuso, Gio Van Brokhorst are all out there holding their own as they navigate the murky waters and pressure of managing teams with bigger structures.

I don't think Arsenal Milan Roma or Everton will be better for him or would even be an upgrade on his current position in Leipzig. Its probably a lateral move or a downgrade in many cases

In Leipzig he is able to face CL opposition and recently crushed Spurs, The others are not even guaranteed of making CL football, while Naggelsman is in the CL quarters.
Some of their organization is pure chaos and zero organization. AC Milan, for example, have gone through almost 10 coaches since Allegri left 6yrs ago. Milan have no transfer plan, no focused playing pattern and some times they are not even sure the club would be a going concern. Lack of funds is making Milan just pick almost the leftover players in the market

Some of these clubs you mentioned just have expectations without the structures needed to succeed, That is what a club like Man Utd discovered and are trying to correct

If its possible, I would have thought a club like Dortmund, Atletico, Napoli or Chelsea would be the ideal place for him. A club that is relatively stable, have the finances and structures to be a regular CL qualifier but not necesarily the Madrid Barca Bayern or Juve tier
