@OP Can't speak for everyone but I think most Yorubas are pragmatic in outlook. The goal for now is the Presidency, which Yorubas thoroughly deserve, on the front burner while everything else, such as you mentioned, simmers. Forget all that is going on. Poor leadership delivered it. Yet enough has changed globally to put Nigeria on the cusp of greatness if we can get a truly reformational President today. Yorubas have the intellect, temperament and equitable mien to deliver Nigeria and modernize our nation. The Presidency is coming to the South in 2023 and Yorubas should focus on that 100% and not entertain any distraction anyone will present in the guise of 'inspecting our options'. The Presidency is ours in 2023 and we will grab it and present an Awolowo of today to take Nigeria forward. 2 Likes |

jacksonkennedy: Thank God like that 1. Their are different types of Ekiti dialect, Oya type the General ekiti dialect 2. If you don't understand that one, what is one thing you'll notice in Oyo dialects that will make you to know this person is Oyo. 3. The bolded is not a town in Ekiti and doesn't mean anything in yoruba. 4 Likes |

Grayoso:this is the type of discussion I want here not she is IPOB nonsense that these other men up there are saying. So our short term goal is 2023? We all know this. I for one hopes osinbajo gets the seat... what about long term...that is what I'm asking. Is it a developed Yorubaland within Nigeria or a sovereign yoruba nation? And what is the plan to get any of them |

jacksonkennedy: We are telling you because you share none of the Yoruba ethos in the first place. You are hate personified and all your comment showed the amount of hate you have for your fellow Yorubas because they worshipped differently. There are lot of Yoruba Christian extended families that have at least one Muslim among them and vice versa. If your husband is truly from Oyo like you said, ask him and he will tell you he have at least one Muslim in his extended family, same as Christians. If truly you’re Yoruba and you have that kind hateful religious thinking then you gotta be taken to a concentration camp and re-oriented about the ethos of the Yoruba coz you currently have none. That is the exact same thing we should do to MURIC, that organization is also not practicing the Yoruba ethos of with regards to religion that our ancestors fought for. (Either Ifa, Muslim, or Christian, we are Yoruba first) Our ability to co-exist devoid of religious fights is a heritage of the Yoruba and I can say we are the best in the world in how we handle this religious differences that have pitched brothers against brothers among other race. You want us to believe you are Yoruba simply because you said you’re from Ekiti and you married an Oyo man alone? Coz going through all your posts, I can’t even seem to grab any Yoruba ethos in your comment! 7 Likes 1 Share |

LegendHero:see that is the mistake. I don't hate Muslims. I hate Muslim extremists and Muslims who cant learn to conform in other places. My husband doesn't have Muslims in his family that I know of. But that's not even an issue. The issue is that I opened a thread to discuss important long term goals that we should set and you guys are harassing me over my ethnicity. Why? Do I look like someone who deserves to be insulted? Some of the people insulting me openly are begging me money in my DM. Please brother ...let's comport ourselves and stay on topic 3 Likes 1 Share |

jacksonkennedy: The bolded also showed you are not Yoruba. Yoruba are known not to brag like this and mock people. How does people begging you money in your DM support the argument on this thread? Should everyone of us here also start telling everyone those who we have helped on and off Nairaland too. We don’t care about who you help and that is not the topic sister. Pay attention. I will stop here and you can continue your topic. I just want you to know that even if you’re actually Yoruba, there are lot of thing you gotta set straight about you going forward (Yoruba first) for the Yorubas on here to start taking you serious and worthy of dialogue.
